Seattle Farm is a privately owned 20-acre property, and I'm pretty sure it's the only farm within city limits. The place is beautifully maintained and feels like a hidden gem. No cows or chickens, but there are plenty of horses. We came during pumpkin season and paid $25, which covered both parking and admission. Big parking lot, easy access. At the barn you'll find several horses, and feeding them hay was a hit for both kids and adults. The darker horse was especially affectionate - kept rubbing its head against us, super sweet. You can also pay extra for horse/pony rides; they are all calm, well-trained, and come in various sizes. There's a food area with picnic tables where you can grab hotdogs and drinks. The pumpkin selection isn't as large as farms farther out, but still enough. It's great to see a place like this still operating in the city, and it's definitely worth supporting to help keep it going. I think they also host private events like birthday parties and weddings, and offer dedicated horseback-riding lessons - you'll need to call for details. Awesome family-friendly spot. Miss Tina and her crew truly educate about the whole horse and care about all the kids that come through. She learned horse safety, how to saddle a horse, how to direct a horse through an obstacle, trail rides, typical horse chores, and so much more. SHE cancelled one due to a headache and refused to let us have an additional lesson because I didn't reschedule her missed lesson immediately. She then said it's not every four lessons, it's every four weeks. We reluctantly signed up for another four lessons. My daughter only got to attend one lesson. My daughter sprained her ankle and was unable to attend for the 2nd and 3rd week. I asked what time to be there for the 4th week and Vivienne said she had removed her from the schedule because she didn't know if her ankle was better. I notified her in advance the prior two lessons that my daughter was still healing, but she did not bother to ask if she was better for the last lesson and canceled it. She then said we had to pay AGAIN for the next four lessons. No thanks. We've been swindled out of enough money. It's perfectly fine for her to reschedule but she can't understand rescheduling due to an injury? I informed her twice of our disappointment and she just said "Okay!" And didn't care at all. I'm done. I don't recommend doing lessons here as they are not honorable or compassionate to the children.
