We though we did something wrong but the guy came came from the next door store to set up the inflatable screen, projector, speakers, and popcorn machine and it was a party. He poured out a little bubbly and you helped yourself to the buttery popcorn. Unfortunately the store doesn't open because the same guy who runs it is also running the show, so it's understandable, bu I wish I could've bought some other snacks. The screening was definitely for the tenants of the marina because they all knew each other which was kinda cool that they put out the event on FB. They had the best swag ever, which was ed knit caps just like Bill Murray's crew in the film. This was very low key, low attendance, and intimate. It was funto watchthe movie as the sun went down and I can't wait for their next one.

Twice this season they have rapidly responded, done the trouble shooting, gotten me scheduled, fixed the problem, and gotten me back to boating.....all unforecast, and in the middle of the busiest time of the year! Pretty impressive, especially considering that I'm not their money maker! This year they saved my big fishing trip with only 5 days notice! I'd spun my flexible coupling. :-( they diagnosed it, pulled the boat out of the water, pulled the motor, ordered and replaced the part, put it back together, and back in the water, all in 5 days. I wouldn't have gotten there without them. Darrin is always the first guy I call when I have a boat issue! Thanks guys!!!

Terrible experience. Worked with a guy named Darren who was consistently rude. The work took months…read morelonger (and significantly more money) than he quoted us, and our boat came back in worse shape than when we took it in. Darren was inpatient when answering our questions and acted too self-important to be helpful. The marina is out of the way and their hours are inconvenient. I couldn't have been more displeased with my experience.

I brought my boat in because it had a top cylinder engine misfire. I got a prompt call back, saying…read morethat the fuel injector from that cylinder was not functioning, but they were able to lean it out and get the motor to operate correctly. I was advised that the best course of action was to replace that fuel injector. I asked the price and was told $1000 with parts and labor so I agreed. Then weeks go by and I hear nothing so I call. I was told the injector was in but "I may need a computer for the outboard" I then asked how much that was. I then was told they don't know if I need it but would get prices and would call me the following Monday. Monday came around and no call Tuesday I called and was told the guy I was speaking to didn't know about my boat call back.The end of the week came and I called again. This time I was told the guy working on my boat wasn't there and he'd be back the following Tuesday and they would call me with what they found (called on Thursday).Tuesday came and no call so I called this morning at 10:42am and was told the man working on my boat had just stepped out and that they would call me back. 4 hours went by and no call so I called again and the man said "he just walked in". Then another man got on the phone and said "it's done" I said what's done do I need a computer and he said it's done. I asked him what the bill was and he said "it turned out to be a bunch" $3490.00 When I arrived after being fuming mad I tried to be as nice as possible and explained not one thing had been told to me and this now massive bill is crazy. It fell on deff ears. There were no old parts given back nor shown just a massive surprise bill that I don't even know if anything was actually done. The next place I'm going is the better Business Bureau because these are shady business practices. Attached is my invoice and highlighted is the only thing every communicated to me. It literally even states i agreed to the one fix. I'm filing with the bbb and will not be back. Update just got off the phone with the owner of the shop 7-17-25 and he called me a liar and said he has dealt with the Better Business Bureau before. He said we had a "miscommunication" I asked how we had a miscommunication and he could not answer. WE HAD NO COMMUNICATION AT ALL even after I called week after week. He told me he has dealt with the Better Business Bureau before and it was "frivolous claims" and that "he thought he called me" when I called them multiple times over a space of weeks and got no response. For the record I started the boat this morning and the boat is still broken. It runs like complete crap. Still missing on the same cylinder the computer had greasy fingerprints and oil all over it, so who knows if that is actually changed or not what he did say is bring the boat back to him and he will put a computer in it and take the other one out and will give me $2000. How the f do I trust you to even touch my boat. I will let the Better Business Bureau deal with this. I am not letting him touch anything or even have the opportunity to sabotage the motor further. This guy is an absolute liar and will back door his way into overcharging you and claim it as a "miscommunication" absolute bs attached is my "brand new computer" attached pic is my brand new computer number one is grease all over it Keep in mind. This is after wiping it down trying to find a date of service that was not put on the part #2 is a deep gouge in the plastic case #3 and #4 are saltwater buildup on the "brand new unit". This is not a miscommunication. The motor for the record is still missing in the same cylinder offering to refund someone for less than you screw them over for and give them who knows what parts out of your pile is a joke small claims court here we come

Boat was ready to go as communicated and we hit three locations, all with large sturgeon. Gear was in great condition, all the same rods and reels. Always baited with fresh bait and in the water as soon as possible. My 10 Y/O son was ecstatic to haul in a large sturgeon and Mark was great with him as well. Definitely coming back to Mark for Halibut, Tuna, Salmon, Bottomfish and more Sturgeon!

I took the NAUI Open Water Course in November 2025 with Katie, Katherine, and John over two…read moreweekends! The timing was perfect for me, because I work pretty deliberate hours throughout the weekday, making it hard to do a full week long course. The first weekend was just the pool skills, practicing for the dives. The next weekend was two days of diving (including at Sund Rock!). Katie was awesome. We had her for the pool day and really thought she was confident, competent and kept the class engaged. I felt comfortable asking to redo a skill when I wasn't super comfortable I got it right the first few times and wanted to practice again. Katherine and John (the owners) were my instructors the second weekend. They're both super knowledgeable as well and Katherine is very deliberate about ensuring fit of gear and safety is a priority! Only note I have is that I wish I could have stuck with one instructor. We swapped from Katie one weekend, to Katherine the next weekend and John on the final day. It was easy to rebuild comfortability with Katherine and John; just a personal preference to keep consistency when learning. I did the Drysuit and Nitrox certifications in addition to my open water. YSS Dive made it easy to add on both! Only other things I would improve would be to have smaller classes -- it seemed like we were bigger than the usual class, and a larger majority of folks struggled more learning than me and my paired buddy. Kind of resulted in our second dive on the last day being less deep (we stuck to 25-35 feet) or in the area we wanted because the other girl couldn't figure out her buoyancy well with her drysuit and needed extra work/time. We obviously appreciated that safety was the priority for all divers; just would have loved to have been able to really test ourselves and our new skills! I felt comfortable and competent having learned from YSS dive; my buddy and I signed up for the advanced course!

To save our trip to the Lake Cushman area, we popped into the Skokomish Park area and paid the day fee and for an hour on a double passenger kayak. The water is so fresh and clear, very clean! The views once you're on the lake are breathtaking. We enjoyed our kayaking journey and chilled for a bit exploring the rest of the grounds after. It's a great, quiet, and safe recreational area where you can spend the day or overnight camp. The rangers in the office as you check in and the guys that help you with the kayak are all friendly and helpful. It was a great experience and we definitely plan to come back!

But...it is very expensive to camp with what you get (almost $300 for 3 nites). Our campsite was VERY narrow; no privacy. It was not peaceful since they cram so many sites together and no sound barriers. The far back tent sites may be better for privacy. The single bathroom building in the middle of the loop is OLD. The toilet stalls are so small! I could barely squeeze in and out by standing beside the toilet (yuk!). The worst part is there is only ONE shower stall for all the female campers. AND you need quarters! For as much as we paid for camping, that is ridiculous. We won't camp there again. $20 for the day use area is a much better value.
