I just had a visit with Susan. I'm not going to lie, I had my doubts. But she was great! Super gentle, super knowledgeable woman. She goes over your chart with you & addresses anything you need. I know the vitamins seem like a up-sale. You don't have to buy them. She just wants to make sure as a woman your getting the right amount of iron and vital nutrients. The wait is usually 45-min to a hours, but what dr office isn't? She's great. read more

I went there with my friend and she told me the Reseda Blvd office was strange but I didn't understand how much until I saw it myself. This is a very small office but I utterly adore everyone that works here. Tully, Rosy, Terry, Dr. Burger are all very patient and caring to their clients. You can tell when you talk to each of them. They'll make you feel super comfortable no matter what you're in there for and I love how informative Susan is. She can sit there with you forever if you had an essay of questions regarding your health. She'll always do the best she can even if she didn't know something. I had a few appointments that were more in depth and would normally be painful to most people, but I felt no pain and even Terry offers to hold my hand when she knows I'm nervous. Susan guided me step by step how I was going to feel and made sure I was okay the entire time. I appreciate everything they do there and I recommend this place to anyone with low income or just in need of a health care provider. read more

I have no complaints. They can get really busy, so, like I do with all medical professionals, I always schedule my appointments for first thing in the morning, or right after lunch. That way they aren't backed up, yet. Unlike some of the other reviews, Susan has never been anything but super kind to me. Sometimes the staff can be a wee bit eccentric, but that doesn't bother me. This place is extremely outdated and old. The nurse practitioner Susan is friendly until you disagree with her or ask too many questions. There is paper work everywhere and it seems like they are very disorganized. I had one prenatal visit there early in my pregnancy and I felt very uneasy and like it was a waste of time. Its a very small office they have to send you out to do everything including ultrasounds, blood work and to see the actual doctor. They also take hours for the appointments reading out dated pamphlets to you and it just seemed like a waste of time In general. read more

I wish I could give this place less than 1 star. Ive been going to Susan for my birthcontrol to help my pcos. I thought she was a bit nutty from the start but now I am sure she shouldnt be "practicing" medicine. She is always pushing her vitamins and how much they will help your trace minerals. Ok ok not so unusual for someone in medicine to tell you to take a vitamin, but shes really pushing them and her answer to everything is these vitamins. But not only just that, when I told her I was hoping the birthcontrol would help the symptoms of my pcos she told me my cyst and the symptoms would stop if I didnt hate myself. I told her I am incredibly sure I dont hate myself and she told me that I just didnt realize I hated myself and with therapy from a psychiatrist and acupuncture and fixing my energy and chakra that I would no longer have issues with my ovarian cyst. I almost walked out of the room because I have never been put in a more unprofessional environment in my life. I am pretty sure ovarian cysts cant be fixed with speaking to a therapist. Ive always gone in there with a great attitude and incredibly respectful and I cannot even fathom what would make a medicinal professional say that to anyone at all. I'm not a current patient of Susan but she was my trusted go-to gyno for many years during my college and fresh off college days. I was under the PACT program. My BFF recommended her to me when I had UTI and yeast infection. She is very knowledgable and has excellent bed side manner. My adolescent won't be complete if I don't mention Susan. She's the best. Her office is a hidden gem in the valley. Another good family PACT program is of course Planned Parenthood. read more

Nurse Burger and Ruby are wonderful. I'm not sure any woman particularly enjoys "women's services" but I honestly don't mind coming to this office a few times a year. Susan has an excellent bedside manner and doesn't make you feel embarrassed to ask questions. We can talk openly and honestly- which is exactly what I want in a doctor. I live in Valencia yet I still drive 40 minutes to go see her! I'd have given 5 stars but sometimes it's a bit of a wait. Felt quite uncomfortable with my experience. It was not a good vibe. Weird smell in the lobby/waiting area. The receptionist also gave me information from the wrong chart. Very, very, extremely, long wait even if you have an appointment. I was had a conversation with Susan, and she told me how she would not recommend getting into the medical field, that it's thankless. Well, that doesn't make me feel good if you're the one administering my PAP. read more

STAY AWAY! The ONLY reason I am giving one star is because of her front desk staff. Tully and Rosie. They are very sweet and will go out of their way to help. I feel bad they have to work with such incompetence. My story.. this is my 2nd child I went to see Susan and did not find out that she is not an actual doctor and waits till you are fat along to transfer you to anothto r doctors office called bloom "(they will be getting a review as well) I came to her at about 12 w with Hyperemesis.. I had been in and out of the hospital when I got to her(bare this in mind) she cared for me up until now at 24 w. Every time I'd call her for anything I'd just get told go to ER. Now when it came time to transfer me the doctor she normally transfers her patients to(which shouldn't not even be standard practice) denied me as a patient. Due to the way Susan did NOT handle my care properly which has in tern left me without a prenatal doctor or prenatal care. When I came to her she new my conditions she should have made preparations or found out in advance that this would be the case. Once she knew they denied me she said it basically was not her problem and gave me the number to a clinic at a teaching hospital. Because I am now so far along almost every private doctor (which is my preference & right to choose who handles my healthcare) has been stripped from me due to all the doctors denying me care. She does NOT know what she's doIng when it comes to proper prenatal care. I can only speak to this. I later came to realize she doesn't even have a lot of preganant women I believe I was her only one. I am writing this to forewarn any other women looking for prenatal care to avoid this place at all cost. To Susan you were so wrong with how you handle my care and I'm extremely stressed out because of you. I feel violated and stripped of my right to choose where and who cares for me and delivers my child. I now have limited to no choices where I can go because of your lack of knowledge or just compassion at this point. All I was given was a phone number to a clinic 30mins from where I live that you have to see and be treated by multiple doctors depending on the day as well as it being a teaching hospital. I'm pissed and will be filling a formal complaint against this office with insurance. For her causing me to have a break in my healthcare due to incompetence. All of their equipment is also outdated and old. The sonogram machine doesn't even work they outsource it. Smh Terriable terriable terriable !!! read more

My daughter went to this office for a few visits. When I went with her on one occasion Susan kept insisting that the answer to her problems was the bottle of $20 vitamins that she sells. When my daughter decided to transfer to an ob/gyn and requested her records be sent from Susan's office she was told she would have to pay $35. I contacted the office about this fee and even after three phone calls, never received a response from Susan, whom I was told would call me back. Susan does not seem to be supervised by a doctor in that office, and no doctor's name is on the office information. I would never encourage anyone to see a nurse that charges exorbitant fees to transfer information to a doctor's office, and encourages vitamins as a solution to a patient's problems. What gives? I intend to contact the California Medical Board to file a formal complaint. read more

The front desk as usual is very nice but the energy in this office was very negative this last time i was there. The nurse practitioner here seems like she's just in a bad mood....just seems irritated at everything. Surprisingly, even though I've witnessed her dumping her negativity on the staff, the staff doesn't continue the chain and dump it on the patients. Though the staff is friendly enough (most of the time) I've been disappointed with my experiences here. They don't seem to have their act together. They never return your phone calls and if you leave a message requesting a reschedule they'll reschedule you without telling you when they've moved your appointment to (that happened to me on 2 different occasions). The final straw for me was when I'd scheduled an appointment for a very specific injection in March and when I went in for this appointment in May they acted like they didn't understand why I was there, despite my having called them the week prior to confirm that I was coming in for this injection, then after keeping me waiting for a full hour they informed me that they had just given the last of that injection to another client. The client that was checking out right next to me. The injection I'd specifically had scheduled for 3 months. Apparently, on top of everything else, they don't know how to plan for the appointments they've scheduled either. It is especially frustrating as I drive 45 minutes to get to these appointments. The women that work here are wonderful, and always take their time to go over any questions you may have. Susan has always gotten to the bottom of any gynecological issue. I have suffered from chronic bladder infections my whole young adult life. While others turned me away as "neurotic" or just dismissed my pleas for help she has taken the time to look that much more thoroughly at my samples or swabs. Once planned parenthood turned me away at a bladder infection told me there was nothing and I waited thinking "am I crazy?" Till I bled in my urine and Susan saved the day, appalled by their negligence. Yes, she pushes her vitamins but as someone who took them for 9 months straight. They saved me from what was usually my very regular BV infections. I'm very sensitive to e v e r y t h i n g! Plus she sells them cheaper than other places. So it's nothing to get all up in arms about. The office is packed a lot but it's because she makes herself available for the women who would otherwise get crappy medical advice from other places.
