Four stars because I'm beyond grateful for them and the services they offer. However, making an appointment doesn't seem to mean much, because they will still take every walk-in before you, and you'll have to wait one to two hours beyond your appointment time anyway, which is really frustrating. Honestly if you need a doctor choose any location except for this one. I had an appointment at 9:15am, right when I got checked in they said it's a 45 minute wait. I said but I have an appointment for right now. Front desk lady was super rude and said everyone here has an appointment. What's the point of making appointments if they don't honor it. Very unprofessional. This place needs to get reworked with new staff at the front. read more

Honestly don't waste your time. Had an appointment here and took about two hours until I was seen, what was the point of scheduling an appointment then? Front desk ladies should at least give a heads up that the office is way behind instead of wasting time. If you're going here and have an appointment, be sure to cancel any plans that day . You will wait at least 3 hours after your appointment to be seen. Once they call you in you will wait more in another room . Besides that the medical assistants were nice in the back . The front desk girls ... not so much. read more

Just go somewhere else, they do not care to listen when you tell them something is wrong. I have not been here in a while but needed birth control refill since my doctor I loved just retired. They took my blood pressure and got this number that was off the charts! I have never seen a number that high even when I was pregnant. I told them it felt like I was getting pinched or stabbed, that the lady doing it wasn't doing it correctly. They didn't care to listen and just kept rechecking on the same arm. They told me with this number they wouldn't prescribe me the pills I wanted and instead tried giving me these others that didn't work last time( a year ago) , at least with my body cause she pushed them on me last time saying how everyone loved them. I finally just left cause I was not getting listened to and they just seemed to want to give out these other pills. When I went out to my truck I pulled up my sleeve to look at my arm, there was a bruise and a blood blister where I told them it felt like I was getting pinched!! I have never had this happen when getting my blood pressure checked and it just goes to show how inexperienced the people working here are. When your patient says it feels like I'm getting punched this doesn't feel right maybe you should listen. I know the cuff gets tight but it's not suppose to pinch you, you are also not suppose to keep messing with the cuff while it's on my arm but for some reason this lady couldn't stop moving it while she was trying to "check my blood pressure" . The area this place is in is also questionable. read more

Thank you to Planned Parenthood for existing, but a big thanks especially to this particular PP today. I have been going to PP for many, many, many years and my experience has always been 5 star. I have not, however, been a Yelp reviewer for so many years- that's why I'm finally taking the time to leave a review. I came to this particular location on a weekday, with no appointment. I showed up around 3:30pm. When I called first, the operator let me know about the 2 locations closest to me and suggested I visit this one for less wait time- big thanks to them, too. The front staff was so kind and helpful. They had me fill out some paperwork and update my insurance info and then, after a short wait, I was seen. The medical assistant in the room was equally kind and helpful. What I appreciated the most was that the provider took a moment to come to my room, introduced herself and briefly discussed the reason why I was being seen today. From beginning to end, I felt like I was receiving proper and efficient care. read more

I made an appointment and still waited three hours to be called in. They overbook and could care less about your time. I am unsure why they have appointments when they don't follow a system of getting you in at your appointment time. The service I wanted done by the doctor refused. I was told by the medical assistant that the doctor won't be seeing me the physician didn't even bother to come in and speak to me. I was told to come back in a year which was ok. What made it ridiculous is that no could tell me or verify with the doctor before I waited 3 hours. I don't recommend coming unless you have time to waste or have extra time to wait beyond your appointment time. read more

I've been coming here a few times for appointments, the people working in the back are very nice and welcoming, although there is an issue. There is a blonde lady at the front who is VERY rude and unprofessional. The last time I went, I saw her at the front, and she was badmouthing and gossiping about a patient saying things like "oh my god I thought that was her dad! She looked so young! When it was her boyfriend, I as a customer find that totally inappropriate and disrespectful. She has a very rude demeanor as well, making you wish you were getting helped out by someone else, again very rude and disrespectful behavior, she should NOT be working here. Disregards patients just to gossip about other patients, so crazy. People like this should not be in the field, if you're having a bad day, suck it up! You're at work dealing with fragile people. She is the appointment settler. If any further issues I will ask for her name and see what can be done about it because it is not right. read more

I'm currently in the room with the doctor who has barely made eye contact with me and keeps assuming my intake answers including my gender, sexual orientation and other sensitive matters around identity and intimacy. I feel very rushed to answer the questions that she isn't assuming the answers to. As someone who already deals with anxiety involving medical treatment, this really sucks. I didn't feel taken care of. Just get in, get out, and hurry up while doing it; that was the vibes. I don't think I'll return to this location. Planned Parenthood is a place where people come for help and probably have a lot of fears around said help. That being said, a warm and compassionate staff is fundamental to that foundation. I was just there right now. The lady at the front was so rude denied me care. She needs to be fired. Literally denied me care when I was in so much pain. I told her I didn't have health insurance and she told me to go to the hospital. This place sucks that lady at the front needs to be fired. She did not do a good job. She was being very rude to me. As a girl with little to no women around her for help, they have been amazing. I come for my birth control refills, any utis, or just general feminine issues I have. I have never had a bad experience. The people here are amazing always nice, never judgmental. And always make me feel safe and cared for. Oh my gosh worst service EVER. I really wonder if the staff just wakes up and shows up for no reason. Made an appointment for 9:45.. got called in at 10:47. Left this place around 11:40. The nurse taking my vitals was nice (Monisha). The bathroom was DISGUSTING. Floor had wrappers of I don't know what and the toilet was full of urine. Like come on people COVID is still a thing. Honestly I looked over at the chart to see average patients a day were 44. WHY IS IT TAKING AN HOUR TO SEE ME?! The obgyn was very kind and informative. Other than those two staff members being kind. I had a very good experience here. I always book early so I can try to get in and out on time. There is always a little wait but when you expect it, it's not as bad. I was seen pretty quickly and Halley - I believe the Dr who I saw was so sweet and nice as well as the African American lady. The blonde Dr made me feel bad for getting my birth control for free. She also mentioned and asked if I've been tested for HBV without giving me a reason other than my skin looked orange. She didn't even ask if I use tanning products. Very uncomfortable visit . Receptionists were nice. read more

The other Planned Parenthoods I've been to have a bit of a wait time, even with an appointment, but I get that they have a lot of patients so I don't mind. The Canoga Park location however is the most punctual one I've been to yet! They make the paper work process really quick, and everyone is super friendly. I got my shot and the nurse who helped me was Kimberly- she's seriously the best. Super kind and funny, and normally I'm squeamish with shots but I didn't feel a THING. Melody and the front desk were so helpful, kind and personable. It meant a lot to get care at a time like this. People like Melody and the other great healthcare workers at this location should get all the kudos and recognition possible. My only note would be that there were a lot of shared surfaces that were unavoidable to touch (door knobs etc.) - if there are any funds to upgrade to automatic dispensers etc. that would be ideal! read more

Had me waiting forever all while having a appointment. I showed up on time and they had me wait an additional hour just to tell me they're on a lunch break. Why have me scheduled for your lunch break!? I came in at 12:00 it's now 1:01 pm and I'm still waiting. Like???? Schedule people correctly I have things to do too. This office is the worst! I asked the women at the desk numerous times when will I be seen and even if I could run out and come back and she said no because I only have ten minutes that was bout 15 minutes ago. She said she'd have to reschedule me if I leave. This kind of care is trash, they need better training for dealing with women during these emotional moments. Also, stop asking women verbally what they're in for at the front desk, I shouldn't know why other women are visiting the office. Privacy is not taken serious here. read more
