The parking spaces are so small here that I sometimes just uber to the shopping center since my car is always getting hit by people who don't know how to park. There are always a bunch of hoodlums milling around and homeless people posted at all the entrances. I frequent the Target and Pet Pros, but QFC is insanely expensive so I hit up Lee's Local Produce down the street for fresher and less expensive vegetables and fruit. I have stopped into Sally's a couple of times for hair pins but I wouldn't get wild on how great this shopping center is since I feel like if I turn around I am about to get mugged. read more

This shopping center has a hodge podge of various stores, restaurants, personal care services and a post office. The Target here is small for a Target and doesn't have much of a selection. It does sell groceries, but again, the selection is very sparse, especially in produce and fresh food. There isn't a bakery or deli. The Barnes & Noble is also on the small side, but it's a good store. The magazine selection is great. They have their own security. There is 24/7 security which is great. read more

There's a fair amount of shopping located at this location but there's nothing artful about its layout. Basically it's a series of connected strip malls with large parking lots in between. Speaking of parking, it's a veritable pain in the neck to attempt to exit the lots without incident. I was waiting on a friend to finish a nearby errand and kept hearing the air punctuated by horns honking now and again. And when I tried to leave, I was nearly smacked by a Suburban running their light to enter the parking lot. Sigh. I don't live locally so I don't have a cause to visit this place. If I did live locally, I think I'd return here. I don't need the headache. read more

Westwood Village is a decent little shopping area boasting a few major stops. The most important place, in my opinion, has to be the Target, considering it's the only Target in West Seattle (the next nearest locations are Tukwila and Northgate). Since the Target has undergone renovations recently to include a grocery section, it's become especially useful. Adjacent to the Target is my next favorite destination, Barnes & Noble. This particular B&N is quite small, though, and their stock is much more limited than the locations that consist of 2 or 3 floors- or even the Southcenter store, which simply has a larger floor plan. There is a small handful of restaurants within Westwood Village, none of which are decent sized sit-down places. The Eats Market Cafe is so-so, the Vatsana Thai restaurant is superb, the Sub Shop sandwich shop is a good alternative to Subway (and is perpetually staffed by a crew of cheerful young people deserving of good tips), and there's even a fairly decent pizza place. Other than that, your options are either McDonald's (open 24 hours), Toshi's Teriyaki, or Taco del Mar. Outside of the Thai place, you don't go to Westwood Village for a culinary experience. What about Starbucks, you ask, you coffee-dependent Seattlite you? Don't worry... there are three. One freestanding, one in Barnes & Noble, and one in the QFC grocery store. (This is more than plenty, considering Westwood Village really isn't that big.) Don't feel like coffee? There's a Jamba Juice for that. You've got your errand-running staples like the United States post office, two banks (Bank of America and Chase), Staples, Rite Aid, the DMV across the street, and, depending on how exciting (or exhausting) your errands are, a liquor store. Clothing stores are limited to Chico's- a store that I'm much too young, and I think also too style-conscious to appreciate- and a Dress Barn. Ironically, though I dislike Chico's, I am pro-Dress-Barn. I'm not a fan of the name, but I've gotten quite a few good looking dresses there, and there's always a discount to be had at the good ole barn o' dresses. There's also a Marshall's, but in all honesty, I think it's the sketchiest store in the whole complex. It's always a mess, the staff is perpetually depressed and strung out (to be fair, I think I would be, too, if I worked there), and the merchandise is like perusing a gigantic "as-is" table. And then there are the specialty shops, which is probably Westwood Village's biggest category: Miscellany. Bed Bath & Beyond, one of the anchor stores, has almost as good a selection as one of the bigger BB&B locations, but the aisles are very small and busy. Other chain stores include Radio Shack, Pier 1 Imports, Big 5 Sporting Goods, and, for some reason, Sleep Country USA. There's a small vitamin store that seems to be a bit high-end in price, as compared to somewhere like Super Supplements; Pet Pros, a small, independently owned pet store; Wyatt's Jewelers, which I can't recommend for either price or customer service; and there's even a John L. Scott realty office, which I can personally attest to having some of the best, friendliest realtors in the Seattle area. There's also a 24-Hour Fitness, QFC, and Gamestop (relocated from the White Center location, and much improved). Westwood Village's major downfall is the parking. There is a good amount of parking available, but the layout is a bit chaotic, rife with tight turns and narrow lanes, and it's easy to get hit if you're not being cautious. Some of the spots are so small it's like playing car Operation trying to extract your car from a space (I'm looking at you, parking area near Marshall's and Starbucks). I also try to avoid driving past the side with the QFC on it at all costs, as the pedestrian, shopping cart, and car traffic can be too busy... and people are often of the mindset that they have the right of way, no matter what. All in all, Westwood Village is a great asset to West Seattle. It may not be the trendiest or most upscale, but it does a good job at providing necessary businesses for the community. It doesn't offer much in the way of independent merchants, but there's always the Junction for that. read more

I like this little mall. Give me a Marshall's and a Bed, Bath and Beyond within mere yards of each other, and I am a happy girl. Add to it a QFC, so I can buy food, and a Target, so I can buy, um, Target stuff, and it just gets better. This is the closest to Marshall's to me, so that is the main reason I venture over here. BUT, besides the other stores I've already mentioned, we've patronized the Jamba Juice, Radio Shack, Barnes and Noble (and probably some others I'm forgetting) here as well. This probably the best, almost suburban-type shopping center in Seattle without being a mall. Specific, yes! Helpful, maybe?!?! :) Be prepared for an almost strip-mall type of experience still within the city limits of Seattle. There are a variety of shops in Westwood Village, but if you want to see everything here, be prepared to walk and/or drive. Personally, I prefer to walk because parking is not that amazing (one of the negative here). The other negative would be that some of the stores are on the expensive end (I'm looking at you, Pier 1). Some stores that I like and have frequented: Target, QFC, Marshalls, McDonalds (sorry!), the Thai place, a pet store (the cats need scratching pads...), Bed Bath and Beyond, and Starbucks (nom nom coffee). read more

At first I was excited about the direction Wesbild Holdings Group was heading in their creation of Westwood Village, located in the south end of West Seattle. Unlike a traditional indoor mall, or a typical strip-mall, Westwood Village has enough land to create another University Village, whose interconnected outdoor corridors provide a wide array of high-quality shopping and eating choices in an almost park-like setting. However, based on the current layout and shopping choices available, it's clear that Wesbild has no such vision. Some of the individual anchor stores are solid. The Barnes and Noble there, for example, is as nice as any other. But only a handful of local businesses exist, and some of the businesses that do hold anchor positions are better suited for Tukwila: Dress Barn, Sleep Country USA, Marshalls and the like. Also, 24 Fitness, rather than building a multi-storied affair that might be interesting architecturally, took over nearly one full side of a nice corridor that at least 6 small, local shops could instead occupy. Parking is given priority over shopping experience, and while you might complain about parking at U-Village, at least once you get out of your car, you have a fairly tranquil, highly varied shopping experience ahead of you. At Westwood Village, you'll find yourself walking long distances between what essentially is a series of interconnected strip-malls. It gives me hope to see Eats Cafe - an excellent, local lunch spot - in such a prominent location. But for now, unless you want to buy something specific and utilitarian (e.g., a mattress, insurance, etc), or you want to eat at Eats, I'd skip this shopping center altogether. read more

I like this little shopping area. I mean, obviously I do, I have like a billion check-ins here. What's not to love? Westwood Village boasts ample parking (except at Target during the holiday season), Rite-Aid, 24 Hour Fitness, QFC (for your specialty cheeses and off beverages), Jamba Juice, Bed Bath & Beyond, Marshalls, a liquor store (for others), a McDonald's and Barnes & Noble. I admit, the parking lot can be insane and you almost get hit like, 20 times just trying to leave the lot, but that can be easily avoided by not parking near the Starbucks. Really, this is such a handy little shopping area. For us West Seattleites, we've been able to really see it grow over the years. My only qualms about this place are as follows: 1) the parking lot near Starbucks 2) it has a QFC, with astronomical prices but an atmosphere that hardly matches 3) an awkwardly placed speed hump that I inevitably great trapped on while waiting to turn 4) the corporate Starbucks leaves much to be desired, but luckily there are two more Starbucks in the center All in all, I love having it handy and will be sad when I move away. read more

While not the best selection, it's great for locals. Sometimes stock isn't the best in comparison to other neighborhoods. I frequent this shopping village quite a bit as I live nearby-- due to it's location, be sure if you drive that you don't have ANYTHING in your car. Even if it's covered. My car has been broken into previously here, despite barely having any time spent. Car prowlers/theft are a big problem in this area. read more

It is what it is what it is... another mini-mall/strip mall sort of place, but as noted by another reviewer, the disconnected-ness of the shops and greater distances between them make it a less than joyful experience. There is a nicely varied array of shops - Pier 1, Radio Shack, a beauty supply store, a variety of eateries and sit down 'fast food places', Barnes & Nobles, Bed Bath & Beyond, QFC, Marshall's, Fresh Vitamins, Target, Rite Aide, Staples, Famous Footwear, the US Postal Service Office, and more. Though parking is plentiful, shops may be far enough from one another that you need to drive from one place to another to get to the other shops - the downside of strip mall set ups. The upside is that you can get everything all in one stop - groceries, office, clothing, dining, health and beauty services, housewares and gift. It is however the mecca of shopping for many west-siders including myself and saves me the trouble of going to Tukwila or wandering around downtown to get what I need and then making a separate trip to get groceries. read more

Westwood village is an awesome 1-stop shopping bonanza. You'll find target, barnes and noble, QFC, gamestop, pier 1, rite aide, marshalls, a liquor store, and bed bath and beyond. There's a bunch of places to take a break to eat like taco del mar, starbucks, mcdonalds, a really great thai place, and jamba juice. Slightly on the outskirts of the area are a post office as well as a department of licensing office. My only grip about Westwood Village is that the layout is kinda weird and you may end up having to drive from store to store. The layout is not as organic/intuitive as I would have liked. Reviews for groups of businesses such as malls, outlets and airports (to me) rally the spirit of the freedom of thought to the fore. I say this because everyone has something to say about what the function of that collection of shops should be. And that's how it should be! I give this strip mall a solid review which leans closer to 3.5 just because it's special the way it has a little of all the utilitarian shops that we rely on for our dailies. It's not a place to go for hipster items, anything unique, a boutique experience or the local experience. This mall represents Pure Convenience. It's central to us folk who find our homes in West Seattle and you can lift weights, buy sporting good items, get a meal, get your groceries, buy a mattress, buy an appliance, rent an apartment, get your teeth checked, mail a package, have your hair cut or fill a prescription all in one stop with a parking lot that is usually spacious enough to accommodate everyone. How can I be expected to complain about that? :) read more

Ah Westwood, I have mixed feelings about you. Obviously this is a very convenient shopping center with a Target, QFC, Barnes & Noble, Pier 1, Staples, a Post Office and a few more. Since I live about 2 blocks from here, I visit quite often. It serves a purpose, but there is nothing unique about this place. It certainly isn't aesthetically pleasing, and getting around the parking lot is a bit tight. And parking/driving around here during Christmas? No thanks! It's nice to be able to walk over if I'm missing an ingredient for dinner or need toilet paper at 8pm. Also, even though this doesn't happen very often, it's great living close to here when there is a snowstorm and you need groceries and booze! read more

Rite-Aid Pharmacy Westwood Village sucks. I just transferred all my prescriptions to Walgreens. Rite-Aid was rude to the point where I had to complain to the District Manager. They lost my business and my Medicare Funds. Westwood Village is a nice little shopping center. Haven't been to all the stores yet since moving to Seattle, but I went into Pier One once and though it wasn't busy, the guy who was working there couldn't even bother to ask once if he could help me. read more

I first discovered Westwood Village before we moved to West Seattle because I was looking for the nearest Target to my office and stumbled across it. I don't know when this shopping area was built but it is definitely one that was catered to the "one stop shopping" of having a Target next to a Barnes & Noble and then some dining and grocery mixed in as well. We often don't venture to Westwood unless it's Target related (although I'm sad this Target isn't like others with a pharmacy or a good food court) and/or the 24 Hour Fitness which is a sad location here as it is really outdated. But when I do come to Westwood, it is pretty easy to find good parking as it is not super busy. I'm not sure if they will ever fill in with other merchants to make this area more appealing to drive traffic or if this is going to be a 'it is what it is'. They have been doing construction off of Barton and so the turn lanes and etc have been a little bit of a work around when you're trying to turn in but hopefully that should resolve itself and make things better in the longrun. B & N is supposedly shuttering many of their locations in the next few years with the dying trend of bookstores so who knows if that anchor will still be there this time next year so enjoy it while you can. read more

I am really grateful for this shopping center. It makes me only have to drive 5 minutes to get to a Target instead of 15 minutes to get to one at South Center. There is also a Marshall's which is great for last minute gifts and kitchen gadgets. We've been to Bed Bath & Beyond several times as well as we decorated our apartment. So all in all this shopping center is very useful and convenient. Chances are if Target doesn't have what you're looking for, Marshall's or even QFC will. That was the case when I was shopping for a half dozen cupcake tin! read more

I am a very big fan of Westwood. I work in Georgetown, a ghost town with no grocery stores, so I come to the QFC or Target here to run errands. Also, I happen to be a 24 hr fitness member, and I LOVE Marshalls, so.....I'm here at least twice a month. read more

I came out here by accident for my son's football practice and found this little jewel way out here. I'm glad there is a Target (my favorite shopping store), and a Marshall's. QFC Westwood is now my store The young lady [ Allie ] in the bakery can make a plain cake look like it cost 2-3 x the price and their cakes are always delicious ! The deli [ thou a little understaffed at rush times ] is always fresh and the staff ,miquel in particular , always greets with a smile. Kristopher has been working there 9 years and is a gem. Many of the people have been there 20 + years , they like their jobs and it shows . The measure of a company is their people , and QFC Westwood is doing everything right ! read more

I like this little shopping village. A lot of everything in one location, I love Marshall's, Payless, the book store, Target right around the block, little cafes and restaurants and QFC. Lots of things to do if you're spending the day with a friend or family. I think they even have a nail shop in the center, if not I know theres one across the street next to the DOL. In answer to one of the other reviewer's comment- Westwood Village has been there for decades. But for a long time, it was a ramshackle little shopping center with almost none of the things you see there now. Lots of "for lease" signs- you could almost see the tumbleweeds. Cute little shops that were on the way out, air of desperation. Truly awful hardware store - a defunct chain called Ernst. Now, it's much better, even though they never put in the movie theater that had been considered. It has some pretty decent shops, a post office and a good massage place (no, not one of THOSE kind of massage places) a Barnes and Noble, a Bed Bath and Beyond. Several restaurants, my personal favorite being Market Eats. It's quite good. read more

Every time I enter this location, I feel unwelcome from a very short and rude staff. Never have I been checked on or offered help with products. The cashier Norma looked as if asking for samples were unheard of (samples lead to purchases) and dismissed a coupon when it was really valid. She was very unfriendly and this is the 4th time I've experienced this type of customer service. Sephora on the other hand is complete opposite but because this location is closer to home I have been getting my normal products from Ulta. Sad to say I'd rather drive to south enter then to go back to a staff that seems to hate their job. The store is well stocked, but the experience leaves me no desire to return. I don't know why people aren't as satisfied about Westwood as I am! It's got almost everything I need and I don't have to commute far for last minute things! What Southcenter or any other mall would have done for me back in the day, Westwood can fulfill that for me today. I can go to the gym to donate fat, grab coffee, shop for name brand things for super cheap at Marshalls, buy groceries, have food at Eats, read a damn book at barnes and noble, get designer stuff at target, get fierce heels at Payless, buy liquor to get belligerent! and heck get a freaking tan! Also if I'm out late Mcdonalds is open 24hrs!!! First of all I love west Seattle and knowing that I don't have to drive 20miles for all the ish I said above and literally walk a 1000 feet to Westwood makes my heart happy. read more

I have been coming to this shopping center for over 20 year and have never had issues. Almost every store has great/ fair return policies that are little to no questions asked (minus Radioshack they want everything accept your SS#) I have never had an experience that made me feel like "I'm Never going to shop at this mall again". I have been to a little over a dozen Black Fridays here and even then it is still very acceptable with the type and level of service I received even during those crazy times. Most stores stay open until 10 sometime even till 11 given the time of year. Most of the stores pay just a little more then minimum wage which is kinda said because their employees try very hard to make you feel welcome and comfortable. All in all I give it a 5 star rating this is a great meeting place to connect with friends, have a cup of coffee or just window shop because you're bored. read more

Great place. Westwood Village reminds me that shopping can be fun. I was not crammed inside, like the typical mall. There is room to move and room to breathe. I was quite surprised to find a Chico's clothing store in WWV. While it appears Chico's may be too upscale for this place, it actually brings a wonderful touch of class to the area. There are sales all the time, return customers happy to be there, and a very liberal return policy which is second to none. Most importantly, the staff was friendly, helpful, courteous, and overall; outstanding. read more

I was actually at staples for 4 hours doing the menus for my small Deli and Coffee shop....but I had amazing customer service so much so that I told the manager after working with josh the associate who stayed an extra hour after he had clocked out to help me. I figure that I should stop by and get him a thank you note next time I'm in westwood village. I wish I could steal him away and have him work at my store. Feels good to know there are still good workers out there in places like that and they deserve more recognition. They were slammed the whole time I was there and if you really look at what they are doing while still caring on a conversation with you and other customers it's mind blowing all the stuff they have to know. So don't stand in line with a mean look on your face because you think they are taking their sweet time... that's not the case. read more

I come here for everything. Food, gym, bank, pharmacy, clothes, home goods, baby stuff, and more. I find the location convenient and the selection of stores a good mix. This is truly a one stop shop where I can walk around to take care of all my errands. I appreciate this because I have a 2 year old and I don't want to drive from place to place. I come here multiple times a week and I will continue to do so. read more
