I beleive I was over charged, essentially cheated for what I recieved. I had a few small services done (waxing, gel removal and polish added) all these together should not have equaled what I paid. there was no itemization on the receipt, no list of prices at the counter, and it took till I got home and looked up the costs again online that I realized. I don't think I can prove it, if I were to go back and don't want an argument so I figured at least I can warn others, and then never go back. I had such a good experience getting pedicures for myself and older sister. The women working here were so kind and accommodating and it's a very comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. They did a great job on my nails and asked both myself and my older sister about preferred length and little details like shape etc which I very much appreciated (most place just assume and I end up not liking the result). This was my third time here, it was great until I went in last Tuesday morning. I was getting my nails shaped and the lady asked "how is the shape"? I looked at it and noticed it was a bit uneven at the top... so I politely asked her to fix the ones I thought weren't straight. After telling her more then a few were not straight enough she threw my hand and said "OK, YOU TELL ME WHICH SIDE IS UNEVEN" ... taken back by that I decided not to even talk to her. When I first sat down I mentioned that my nails tend to break easily, so I asked her to do them a bit thicker. She was totally fine about it until I went to pay. When she was ringing me up, she said so it's 38.00 for your fill, but it's another 7.00 for doing thicker nails. I was blown Away! I've been getting my nails done for many years now .. and have NEVER been charged for "thicker nails" ! I didn't end up paying it due to the fact she never mentioned another charge when I asked the first place. plus there is no where on the website where it states a THICKER NAIL CHARGE ... she argued with me on it at the front desk in front of everyone . It makes me sad to write this review. I used to come here every month and just loved it. The staff was (past tense) friendly and they always did a great job. But lately it has gotten too busy and it feels like everyone is rushing and so the quality of the manis and pedis have suffered. One time I had an appointment and they didn't have any seats left. I waited for a bit and then went home. They were apologetic of course but that just shouldn't happen when you call in advance and make an appointment. Had a UV gel manicure and a regular pedicure here last weekend. The manicure still looks awesome, and I beat the crap out of my fingernails on a regular basis. The pedi still looks very good, too. For the pedi, you get a hot towel and rock massage, which is not really my thing but was fine, and you sit in a massaging chair, which again is not my thing but I have no objections to it. Went today feb 13,2018 to get light pink shellac nails. Owner was doing my nails ... I had little air Bumble's in each nail. Told her I can see Bumble's in my nail polish ... she said " I must be old ...I can't see Bumble's at all. I took a pic with my cell phone to show her that I wasn't seeing things. She just laughed and said it's just uneven because I my Previous shellac removal. I said you should even that out before adding a new colour. She then said I'll remove it all for you in a bitchy voice. I said ... yes please remove it. After wasted 1.5 hours getting nothing none expect time wasted. I told her...this isn't expectable at all and she really didn't care. Lost my business for sure. I left without paying a dime for wasted time. She didn't speak a word about me paying. Disappointed again. I used to go here for manis and pedis; service was great and I loved the hot stones. Last January, I booked pedis for my sister and I just before a fun girls holiday in Maui. Unfortunately - the staff were too busy taking walk ins to do our pedis together (we had booked an appointment) and my pedi was rushed to finish.I ended up with polish smudging off my big toe and had to have my polish redone at the hotel. Today I decided to give them another try ( loved the hot stones) I was 15 minutes early for my appointment and after 20 minutes with my feet soaking in water I left. It was only 5 minutes past my appointment time but the 3 staff working appeared to not be even close to finishing the clients they were with no one acknowledged how much longer it would be. Enough with bad service, nail bars are a dime a dozen. read more

The only reason I'm not giving me 5 stars is because the girls working their start talking to each other in their own language sometimes and it's a little offensive. Had a terrible experience at this location. My husband and I made an appointment for noon for two pedicures and a gel fill for myself. When we got there we had to wait 20 mins and then they stated they would do our feet and then my nails separately although that isn't how I made my appointment. The woman argued with me stating they were busy, again I made an appointment. Two women beside me claimed they had the same issue, they made an appointment 3 weeks ago. Their appointment was started late and they were still waiting around for their nails to be done. My husband and I left without getting anything done and went to a different location. A few complaints for this nail bar. First, they kept saying "yes" to people calling or walking in wanting service. This resulted in people sitting in the lounge area waiting to be served and the techs somewhat rushing to get services done. Felt rushed and instead of a soothing relaxing mani/pedi, I felt a get in and get out feeling. I asked the girl about the charms she had on her feet. It looked great and I wanted what she had. What she failed to mention was the cost of each foot that a charm was added to. I was not impressed for keeping the cost quiet. As well, I had to file all my toes as she left sharp edges on all the sides of each toe. Also for my gelish manicure, I used her idea of "glitter" instead of polish for something different. Again no mention that there was an extra charged for "glitter" where she would have put a color on. It should replace the polish not be an added charge. She was terrible with the manicure. All my nails were filled down (even after I asked her not to shorten them, she did) and were lopsided or angled. The cutciles on the sides still needed work. She did not clean one hand with alcohol after the buffing, but did the other one. The top coat was put on so sloppy, it was all on the sides of my skin, and even underneath the nail. Sign of poor service. I had the manicure done last Wednesday and the already the sides have lifted and 3 nails chipped already on the top where I had to file the nail to make it at least level. Don't go here for any type of "spa" service. If you want a quick mani or pedi and are ok with lower quality for the price, then you might be ok with it. Going in with a $55 mani/pedi and leaving with almost double the bill has left a REALLY bad taste in my mouth, especially how the service has not stood up for even a week. read more

I came here because I thought it would give me a cheap acrylic manicure while still being good quality. I could not have been more wrong! The rude staff was rough and cut my fingers in 3 different places and made me bleed! My coffin style acrylics look terrible and you can see my real nail on the side/underneath the false nail! Even after everything I thought it might be worth it because on the website AND on their pamphlets it advertised their acrylic nails to be $35 for a full set. But they charged me $56!!! They never mentioned a price difference or talk to me about any of it. I even asked them about the price! These people totally ripped me off and gave me shitty nails. Gave 1 star for the owner, she was the only staff that spoke to me in a polite manner and smiled at me. The two nail techs doing my service barely spoke to me during the 45 - min long mani and pedi. The only time they did was minimal words to direct me when to put my feet up or when to change hands. The lady doing my manicure was only interested in getting me to do Shellac, and she was holding my arms up to do the manicure while she was standing. The whole service was uncomfortable. As many others have said, staff seems eager to get to the next client. Both finished polish on fingernails and toenails were unprofessional, messy, amateur... How else can I describe it? The service here was absolutely a dissapointment. A friend and myself had made appointments for 330 for mani/pedi combos. When we finally got in around 4, four other people had walked in behind us and were each told "15 minutes". I'm not sure you could even call what we got a manicure. After hastily applying polish and jumping between three clients between coats we were done! I was told, I'll finish the hand massage later. Just wait till I'm done over there. No thanks. Just had a pedicure at Wet Nail Bar and was disappointed. The woman doing my nails made multiple rude remarks throughout the appointment as she eavesdropped on our conversation. This was combined with a poor pedicure, where she finished painting my nails and left to sit on her iPad for 20 minutes while I waited, unsure what I was supposed to do. Meanwhile, another employee was sitting in the back talking loudly to someone on Skype on their iPad. Very unprofessional. Finally I decided to take the foam toe separators off my feet and get up to leave. I have never had such an unattentive nail technician before. I understand this place is cheaper than others, but it is worth the extra money to receive more attention and care elsewhere. read more

Wet Nail Bar has been open for about a year and is located on 152nd (in the little strip mall that has Tissol, Subway, Kins Market and Clancy's Meats). More concerned about shuffling as many bodies through the doors than they are about proper customer service. Booked my mother and mother-in-law for Mani-Pedi's the day before Mother's Day. Booked 2 weeks in advance and confirmed services on 3 seperate phone calls as well as in person on the day that we arrived. Got the ladies settled in and returned an hour later to find that the ladies had been put in the waiting room - finished! Without receiving their manicures. When I questioned it they said it must have been a communication problem with the 2 elderly guests - but not buying it, as the staff there knew that the mother's did not book it nor were they paying for it - it was a gift. Ruined our Mother's Day present to them both. Will not be back. read more
