So I reached Cresent at about 4:55 and my appointment was at 5pm. I'm not going to lie, I had to wait about 10 minutes. However, once they sat me down I was absolutely shocked by the amount of color options they had to pick from. I wanted to go for a classic red and their variety in the shades of red were AMAZING. My nails tech was Jade, who was absolutely FANTASTIC and so sweet. I had to get my acrylic nails removed, manicure and shellac and she was great. I've previously had bad experiences with getting my acrylics removed, but this time it was amazing and so gentle and did not damage my nails at all. All of it was also very decently priced and it was great. I also want to add that my nail tech's (Jade) sister did her nails and I was speechless (photo added below). Called in a last-minute appointment literally 10 minutes before their opening time. Thankfully they have quite a few staff to accommodate even walk-ins (this is a weekday morning). Nice interior with high ceiling. Good colour selection, although the ones with silver lids are $5 extra. Great massage chairs for pedi, although the seat arms didn't look recently cleaned. Superb attention to detail -- the first to actually pull out some glue for my broken big toenail (and fixed it to perfection). Massage was fantastic as well. The drying process (I got a regular non-gel pedi) was a bit low-tech with mini-fans but worked fine. Would come back again when I'm in the area! read more

Don't even think twice, giving your business to Cresent Nail & Spa. They have no clue how to keep customers booked appointments.. I had my nails done December 8 by Katie I was the last customer she was tired she says don't forget to book an appointment because I will be back in 30 days. I'm going to my brothers wedding back home . Ok so I paid for my appointment and I booked for next appointment which was today at 4 PM. So I arrive today for my booked appointment that I made two weeks ago as I checked in her brother says I cannot find you. What do you mean look it's on my phone I'm scheduled your sister told me to book it because she's gonna be leaving for 30 days. He keeps flipping through the pages. Oh I'm sorry she can't take you. I said no she's going to take me because this appointment was booked. He starts talking in their language and do you think she comes up to me because I am her regular customer she would say oh I'm so sorry something must've happened but she just talked in their language far away and I thought wow if you didn't make the mistake, then why are you not coming up to me your regular customer and explaining she stood behind a pillar that I could not see her. Then the last two times I've been noticing Katy so tired she even told me she work six days a week every day long hours. that her back hurts so that means she's doing a sloppy job because I got proof the last few times and I even brought it to her attention. . When I come in for my book the appointment I have a sore thumb it's just something I did. She starts filing and drilling pressing down hard on my thumb and I told her ahead of time. Please don't press down . my thumb hurts. Oh OK I'm sorry I won't 15 minutes later she does the same thing so when I leave my thumb is extremely sore and why I tip her I don't know she doesn't deserve it. She hurts me. when she was filing, I notice she's pressing down hard on my thumb I said Katie my thumb hurts. Could you please take it easy your using too much pressure. Oh sorry about that but she starts all over so by the time I get out of there my thumb is extremely sore. She is not mindful . No kidding the last two appointments three days after I get my nails done a hairline crack starting. And when I show it to her on the next appointment, she just lose it and I said I think it's gonna come off after I leave. Oh no, it'll be fine and what happened it starts cracking more because she's too lazy to take it off then I said to her one day I think it's time I get new nails because my nails are curving down. She says OK she charged me $18 to take nails off . So I decided to do research why are my nails causing Cracking on the sides because the nail technician is filing too much and she's trying to tell me oh it's because you're doing cleaning of course I'm doing cleaning but I wear rubber gloves no this is because she is so tired overworked six days a week long hours because she tells me and her back is sore So basically, this is how the Brother and sister operate the brother book your appointment when it's time for your appointment he will phone or could you come an hour later or could you come in 10 minutes? She's done this twice to me I'm like no I have a doctors appointment. I'm on my way. I am booked for 5 o'clock and I will be there you see they don't like this because they want to move. The customers booked appointments around so they can have us accommodate their schedule, so they can squeeze more people in to make more money. Terrible quality gel polish. Chipped less than 1.5 weeks. For that amount of time, regular polish would have been the same duration. Tipped well and still wanted to charge me full price to fix it. Never had this problem in the 20+ years I've had gel polish. So many places on Broadway, I would advise against this place if you want a quality gel manicure. Absolutely love coming here to get my nails done! By far the cheapest place that I've found for acrylic and gel nails. The staff here take extra care in servicing you and making sure your needs are met with your nails. They always ensure that you're satisfied with the colour, the shape of the nails and that you are comfy there. Disliked the massage chair as it was too forceful to enjoy so I left it off. General exfoliating was ok but callus treatment was subpar. Had a really pleasant experience my first visit. However I came back for a second appointment Sunday, October 13th. Made a last minute appointment for 2:00 I arrived early and am just leaving the nail salon now at 4:11pm. Spent the last 2 hours listening to the girls talk shit about Indian culture in Vietnamese and about how the colour I picked is only for the "Summer" well have you guys never heard of a vacation? I lowered my tip to $10 because of my experience but they truly deserved $0. The older lady behind the reception table also threw away my meal I ordered before coming in. Was offered no compensation barely an apology and was just handed the card terminal. These girls are out there talking about another culture with so much disrespect, just a disgrace to our Vietnamese culture. I had a wonderful experience at Crescent Nails! I walked in at 6pm and although they close at 7, they still took me in. I would recommend booking an appointment if you know you are going. "Ti" did my nails and she was amazing. I had a solar Nail fill (high end acrylic) and I think Ti did the best job that I've ever had done on my nails. The place was very clean, and I noticed they even cleaned their buffer tools prior to using. I live in Tri-cities, but I'll be driving back here to get my nails done by Ti! I visited Crescent Nail Salon not too long ago to get my nails removed. I had specially called in to let them know I just wanted my gel nails removed. When I arrived the nail technician I was assigned too, asked me what color I was getting which led to some confusion. Once I informed her that I only came in to get my nails removed, all hell broke loose. The nail technician got up from our table started yelling at her coworkers in their own dialect causing a scene. It was quite a show as my technician kicked over a nail supply shelf and to the point I felt like she was going to get physical with her coworker as another worker had to get in between them. I felt awkward as I felt like I was put on the spot as the other clients were looking at me. Don't get me wrong my technician did a great job in removing my gel nails but the entire situation and the fact that when I went up to pay and she already put in her own percentage of the tip made me go WTF. It's too bad because the location is quite convenient to me but I wouldn't go back here. The only reason I'm giving an extra star is the fact that she did do a good job. read more

I have been here several times because it came recommended to me by friends, however now I will not return. I had one good experience and then the next four were subpar and quality was poor. Nails chipped and peeled days afterwards and I take careful care of my nails. Next time I got a mauve/purple colour which turned an ugly light brown/orange. When I went back for them to correct they said they would take care of it and when I went to pay, all they were willing to do was take 5% off, which was $1! Went in to get a gel manicure and left very very satisfied. I called about 1 hour before my appointment and surprisingly they had space for 2 people. The salon itself was a bit poorly ventilated but better than some salons I've been to. I got Diamond and she was great. She was very careful and paid close attention to detail. I went here 2 weeks ago with some friends for mani/pedis and am really happy with the results. I had deluxe pedi and shellac mani. The girl who did my pedi was really good, I think her name was Le, she gave a great foot/leg massage! They also have those big massaging chairs for you to sit in while you get a pedi. Then a different girl painted my toe nails and did the shellac mani, I think her name was Jessica. I'm really picky about the shape of my nails and I really like how they look, even today. They also have tons of shellac colours to chose from. The shellac polish started to lift off a bit on 2 of my finger nails the next day so I called to see if they could fix it. I got an appointment the next day and the girl who redid those nails was so great about it. She also put another coat on top of all the other nails too. I came in on a Monday morning for a walk in appointment, the manager and other staff were welcoming and friendly right off the bat. The place looked clean and appropriate for a salon. Certain services were explained to me by the manager, I was ushered into my seat with offers of tea or water. A lineup of both old and new magazines were laid out on the table up front. I got a mani/pedi with gel coating--they did not use shellac but OPI's alternative Axxium(?) I've never gotten this type of service done besides the acrylic extension with gel overlay the past years, which I'm quite fed up with since it leaves my nails all weak and crummy. I decided to try this other form of nail service because I'm quite fussy with my hands and really like the look of polished nails. My nail tech, Jenny, showed me all the gel colors they offered for said service and I chose a purple theme for both hands and feet. The procedure took about an hour and a half, the outcome looks amazing! Very clean and nicely done! Since I had the whole day to myself, I decided to get a full leg and bikini wax as well as my underarms. It was done by the manager herself, Tran, very nice and professional. She led me to the "waxing room" which was small but had a relaxing vibe. I definitely love the wax they used! Tran explained that it was for sensitive skin and was mainly used for the face. The whole procedure was done well, a few stray hairs which she plucked with tweezers. I totally recommend this place! Went here today for this first time for acrylic nails with Jennifer (which were totally fine she was great) and a gel pedicure by another girl - horrific experience! All I can say is she absolutely butchered my cuticles - 3 of which bled throughout the whole service. I have grazes on 2 of the knuckles on toes for where she skimmed over with the nail file. The pain throughout the service was dreadful - constant stinging from the cuts which was intensified when she applied alcohol to my toes. I couldn't even keep them in the water the stinging was so painful. I made it abundantly clear throughout the service how painful this was and that this has never ever happened to me before in all the years I've been getting pedicures - All she said was oh your skin is very thin. This is not acceptable - like I said this has never happened me before - I know you should never cut the clients skin & make them bleed. At the end of the treatment she said "Sorry I hurt you" - that was it. I paid the full price of the service. When leaving the salon I put on my shoes and socks which was extremely painful and still hours later they're super sore and stingy. I went here hoping to get a bio gel manicure. Key word "hoping". When I did ask for a French ombre Kelly told me it wouldn't be a problem. She filed into my skin and it looked horrible. I had them take it off since the powder was stuck to my hands and looked awful. It looked like a 5 year old did my nails. They then made me soak my hands in acetone for 15 minutes making my nails brittle to the touch. I've always kept my nails strong. They felt horrible after. I asked the new technician Steven to do bio gel and they still did regular shellac. Kelly was talking loudly to everyone in Vietnamese about how I wanted it taken off. I would NOT recommend anything beyond your standard shellac manicure here. Unprofessional and my nails feel horrible now. read more

Tried Crescent nail salon today... finally found another one that could meet my standards! My nail technician is Nina, she is friendly and nice, not too chatty, she is experienced and efficient but also very attentive to small details! No smudge or uneven edges! Layers are even with a little thickness. After removal of my old gel polish, she asked how I wanted my nails and double checked with me before continuing. At the end of the mani, she gave both hands and forearms a nice massage. Definitely will go back again! read more

The place is adorable from the outside and the reviews seemed fine before I carefully examined them, so I thought that I'd give it a try. The staff was sweet and friendly. The girl who did my toes was new, and yet, she wasn't bad at all. The manager did my fingers and she was fine, too. The weirdness: since it was a long day, I opted for a mini-massage. They did it in a private room which was nice, and I received the comfort of the table. But she didn't ask me to remove my earrings which was odd. She also used very little pressure, and it seemed to be done a bit haphazardly. I paid for ten minutes, and I timed it--it was approximately eight! The other weird thing about the salon is that they have stacks of magazines laid out nicely, and all were worn to tatters and at least two months old. I found this pretty bizarre. When my total bill for a mani-pedi mini-massage is over $90, I expect to find some recent magazines. But every place in Vancouver seems to "cheap out" in this area which I find unacceptable. There was nothing that I was interested in reading, since it was all "old news" and quite frankly, even my Dr's. office carries at least one recent one. Can anyone tell me a nail place in Vancouver where this is not the case with mags in nail salons, please??? I might return again but due to a few minor annoyances, I'm not sure if I'll be rushing back any time soon. read more

I have had excellent service at Crescent. I've gone for eyebrow waxing, manicures, and pedicures. It is spotlessly clean, and all of their tools are sanitized just for you. I had my first (and second) OPI gel polish done there, and Yulie did an amazing job. It lasted 4 weeks each time and I just loved them. They have all the little extras too - heated mitts, massage chairs, special foot scrub, hot towels. And, even with all the extras and the good service, the price is reasonable. You have to go - you won't be disappointed! They are the only place I'll go now. read more

The coating was getting stuck to my skin under my finger nails do she was cutting my skin I notice I was bleeding a bit after I also the color was put on very poorly she was very rushed I've been coming to that location for a few years unfortunately I did not have time to get it fixed I asked for a discount at least and they were hesitant at the end they gave me 10% off I wish I didn't have to pay for it but I won't be coming back will not recommend to my friends read more

I went for my very first pedicure here (outside of a highly unsanitary one in Saigon - but that's another story..) but I don't think this is how it should be.. I had a coupon so was pretty stoked since I get excited about doing things for the first time. I told them it was my first time, so I was hoping for more instruction (OK, so maybe "put your feet in that tub there" is a given - but I don't want to fuck it up! Someone tell me...) I think I did the right things, but when I tried to chat with the nail tech she just kind of looked down and smiled shyly. Usually people who do hair and waxing and other stuff I have people do to my body to make it less feral are really sociable. Here, not so much. It was dead quiet, no music was playing, nothing but the weird noises of grooming, despite a few people in the room having stuff done. Is that normal.? When I left, things looked good down on my feet; the colour I chose was an awesome jade green, and since I had to put on boots and socks she put my feet in bags with some sort of something in them so the nails don't smudge, which worked very well! The next day though, I noticed that there was a line of dead skin along the edge of where she filed near my toes. A sharp, solid line of dead skin all the way across my foot. Which really, if I was left to my own devices I don't really care, but I had a professional all in that shit, so shouldn't things like that not be there? Somebody tell me if I'm wrong, because like I said this was my first pedicure. The nails look nice though. And everything was very clean. The sharp foot skin is unnerving though. read more

Worst experience ever!!! The girl working on my nails was rude to begin with. She took TWO HOURS to do an acrylic fill, she did an uneven, rushed job and when i would ask her to fix certain things, she'd either ignore me or straight up say no! She consistently cut the skin around my nails, and again, when I complained and said that it hurt she just looked at me and continued to file away without any apology. When i asked to speak with a manager, she said that the manager is too busy to speak to me, when the manager was just sitting behind the reception desk. After she 'finished' doing my nails i walked over to the manager and voiced my concerns and she offered me 5% off! What a joke, considering my nails looked like a 5 year old had painted them. I have been going here for the last couple of years & until recently, I always had a good experience. The last time was horrible. I called to inquire if I could get a full mani pedi done in an hour. I was told a firm yes. I showed up on time in the middle of the afternoon 20 minutes later. They were not busy at all. I was the only customer there. It was obvious to me that the girl assigned to me with inexperienced and new at doing nails. I budgeted an hour and a little more to get my nails done and I kept asking the girl if she could get my hands and my feet done in an hour. She kept saying yes she'll get it done, she'll get it done. Except she didn't. At the hour mark, she had my feet done and only two of my fingers done. I told her that I only have 10 minutes to spare & she have to get the other fingers done. She kept reassuring me that she'll get it done, except she didn't. Long story short I was there for over an hour 25 minutes. she just put on the top coat and I had to run out. Needless to say my fingers were not dry and I smudged it all over my purse, my car seat, and my clothes. I called the nail salon the next day to express my displeasure for keeping me longer than expected and having a new person do my nails, and my nails ended up getting smudged and getting on all my things. The response I got was indifference & blame. yeah that's right! they blamed me for not telling them that I was in a hurry; they blamed me for not leaving when I needed it to. I insisted in talking to the owner. I was told the owner was not available until a few days later. so I called a few days later. the owner was still not there and I didn't get a call back. I ended up calling three times before I was told that the owner finally heard my case and he will give me only 10% off the next time I come for service. That is just poor customer service all around and I was so disappointed with them. Well I'm going down the street to spoiled nail bar nearby and never going back to cresent nail because They have treated me so poorly & showed such bad attitude. Really, shame on you! read more

Sure enough!...my good luck that Jennifer asked to wait 15m. So I came back and they took me right away. Starting with my pedi with Nina. She delivered her service with excellence.
