Wetlands is 100% what you'd expect from a sports bar and I adore it for that. As soon as you walk in you're surrounded by NFL football helmets across the ceiling, random sports arcade machines, pool tables, and friendly staff eager to pour you a drink. The menu is what you'd expect as well. I came in for dinner with family and got the Diablo Burger with tater tots. The burger came with pepper jack cheese, jalapeños, and a chipotle mayo. It was relatively spicy with a nice seasoning on the burger. I was happy to try a unique burger at the bar. It didn't blow me away, but it was decent. My wife got the standard cheeseburger with bacon and said much the same. The food here is really just part of the experience -- and honestly, that's fine. Wetlands isn't trying to be fancy or upscale. It knows it's a sports bar and is okay with that! Halfway through our meal, a trivia night started at the bar and we signed up as a team. Winners got gift cards for the bar. Even though my team did horribly, coming in last place, it was a blast. So fun to randomly be looped in to a game like this. So, yeah. Is there better food elsewhere? Totally. But I'll for sure be coming back if I want a casual meal with family. And I'll hope trivia is happening again! read more

So over the years this place has been hit, and misses with me. So I have avoided it for a long time. For one, I don't go drinking a lot like I did in my twenties. I see a lot of low star reviews, I am leaving a 5 based on my recent experience. Let's start off by saying I will never step foot in the Over Time Bar again, the service, and food are just terrible. We recently were there on a weekend for a Birthday for breakfast. You wouldn't believe how slow the service was, so we all left and came here. The service was night, and day, and so was the food. We had drink's with in the first 5 minutes, and that wasn't just water, as well as food orders taken. The food didn't take long, and the food was really good. I ordered just average wings, but by the time we showed up here I didn't want breakfast anymore, and I also just some times really love wings. Our server was awesome, he was the guy with side burns, and he had a great personality. I have come in also not long ago for lunch with a friend, and we had a salad. It was pretty good. I will have to say I will be back for breakfast, or lunch again. And they know how to handle the larger crowds, unlike the Over Time. read more

I stopped in to play on a machine one afternoon. There was a couple, obviously intoxicated. (I won't say over-served as I don't know how they got that way but I'll say they shouldn't have been served anymore). They misplaced a phone. i was about to leave when they asked me if I'd seen it. I told them no and cashed out, went to the restroom. On the tp holder was sitting a phone. I walked out and asked the female if it was what she was looking for, she said yes, I handed it to her. The guy behind the bar wouldn't cash my tickets. Told me he wouldn't help someone who stole from his customers. Called me a thief. Wait, what? I believe I just handed 'your customer' who is 3 sheets to the wind a phone I just found in the bathroom where her drunk self left it. How is it I stole from anybody? They can have drunk, annoying customers using your bar as a charging station. I'm good. read more

If your idea of a great bar is a dingy (as in DIRTY), dated, poorly designed rectangular space that's VOID of any kind of fun, upbeat music, welcoming staff (they don't even pretend to care), decent selection of liquor (they were out of several top choice tequilas & vodkas), billiards by the game (they rent the 2 tables by the hour only), and like using a restroom that hasn't been cleaned to even fair standards in the past decade, then this place is for you. The last 4+ times I've stopped in (over 5 yrs or more) I've been greeted by the same rude disgruntled type of staff & see they still haven't made any improvements in the bar in at least 15+ yrs. I won't make that mistake again. Wetlands closed their doors/minds to the idea one should receive good service, good food, or provide a fun space/environment a long time ago. This place is great!! I came here for my first time to watch the UFC game McGregor vs Alvarez. This place used to be a dive but it is now newly remodeled cleaned up and pretty nice inside for a bar. Its a great place to hangout to watch games. They have pool tables great beers on tap and to tame your gambling addiction they have lottery machines!! They also have a good amount of TVs too. The people here are great they have a fun. The food was marginal your typical bar food (pretty pricey though). I would say next time come and watch a game here you want go wrong. read more

It's a big bar. There is plenty of room w tall tables, booths, room at the bar and even a back patio that I've never personally seen. I had breakfast here w a friend a week ago and it was delicious. I'm not much of a breakfast lover, so I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed my meal. I had the steak and eggs special for $9.50. My steak was seasoned and cooked perfectly, but a bit too tough to enjoy. Our waitress took care of it right away. The home fried potatoes were spot on. Bloody Mary's are $4 or $4.50 on Sunday's-- they are bold and spicy-- but, they'll make it exactly the way you want it. I do want to give a "most honorable" mention to our waitress/ bartender Allie. She was attentive, friendly and MORE than took care of all our needs-- and 2 complaints. 1) the steak 2) my breakfast partner mentioned the side of bacon he'd ordered the last time he was there. He ordered it crispy... it was served limp. He sent it back and the next side of bacon came back burned and cracked all over his plate. He didn't want to send it back again. Allie said: "Oh, well let me take care of that for you this time". Really? That's awesome! She brought back a side of bacon and it was cooked perfectly. Customer satisfaction, indeed! That alone compels one for a repeat visit. One last thing... I'm REAAAALLLLLYYYYYY picky about my eggs-- I hated them when I was little, until my brother, Patrick started making scrambles w sprouts, avocados, cream cheese etc etc. Then my ex-husband made fried eggs that I could actually eat. This place is great. We went here last night after the Duck game, it was super late and we were just looking for a place that still served food past 11pm in town. We sat down and the bouncer came over to checked our IDs right away, and let us know we should order at the bar because they were low on bar-backs that evening, which was fine we didn't mind. The boys go to the bar to order and as soon as they leave, the bartender comes to our table to take our order. She was happily surprised that the guys were at the bar already so she ran over to them to get our order. THE FOOD CAME FAST and it was DELICIOUS. This place definitely surprises my friends whenever I mention it... its got an older crowd as their regulars for sure, but my 20-something y.o. friends and I always have a good time here. Atmosphere - pretty much the same, although there were more people here this time. Service - 1,000x better. There were two ladies behind the bar and they were jamming out orders left and right with a smile. Super friendly and on top of everything. Very impressed!!!! Food - Had the spicy chicken wrap. It was okay/good. Was not bad, but was not great either. Not a huge fan of the flour tortilla, but the inside was really good. Elevate this by offering on Spinach wrap with option of Blue or Gorgonzola and it could be a big seller. Fries were the battered type which I am not a fan of but had a few for picking. Drinks -30 different beers on tap as well as a ton of well drinks. If your thirsty this will hit the spot. Overall much improved. I'll be back. read more

My daughter and I enjoy going to Taco Special nights after a hard days work. This place has very poor service. I have dipped in a couple times only cause it's on the way home. I keep forgetting what lousy service they have. That's been consistent every time I go. The taco shells are never fresh. We asked for sides of sour cream and onions and they put very little on the taco it's self and charged .50 & .75 . I asked for the Marg. Sp. and was charged $1.00 for a tall (?) . I feel this place is only cares about adding $$$ to your bill and could care less about any quality of their food or service. I was in this industry for 25 years so I enjoy going into what used to be Taverns, because the food and service used to be so much better then most restaurants and it's a better place to go when you are just heading home from work. Unfortunately now even theses places tend to cater to regulars. They don't seem to understand 'word of mouth' or how 'the stranger could be the next good regular' . My husband and I heard great things about wetlands food and decided to give it a go for breakfast today. What a big mistake. We got there at 11:30 on a Sunday and it was packed full of people who were watching the football games. We sat at an untidy table and waited for the bartender to clean it. Then we sat and waited some more. After 10 minutes, the bartender came back and took our drink order. He did not return for q u i t e a while. Once he did, he took our food order and informed us it would take about 30 minutes until we saw anything come out of the kitchen. Okay, we thought. We could wait. We ordered an appetizer and waited. And waited. I noticed the bartender was THE ONLY ONE taking orders and running food, on top of making drinks, taking phone calls and doing a really good job at ignoring hungry customers who tried in vain to get his attention. In fact, it seemed he and the bareback were the only two employees in the FOH today. Finally our food came out...bacon was soggy, home fries were soft and almost cold. Toast was dry and that appetizer we ordered...that cake out about 10 minutes later. Save your money and your time and go someplace else. These guys are rude. I tipped 20% and was polite. I'm thinking maybe when someone has worked at a place too long they find themselves unhappy and in return treat people like crap. My Uber was 8 minutes away and they closed in 10 minutes. the guy was rushing me out the door. If you want to be a good bartender after serving a women by herself you should make sure their ride is there before rushing them out to the front door cause that area is sketchy. read more

This review isn't going to be pleasant for either of us - its your own fault. Wetlands is normally a place you can rely on for good food and service. I dont know who hired the new manager but she has lowered the service level considerably. I wasn't in here 5 minutes and was made to feel uncomfortable because I asked about the house special of the day "the onion burger." The waitress/bartender was visibly annoyed by my question and did not want to answer it instead directing me to another patron who already had fries. My question: are the fries battered? Bartender didnt know. Im sorry I dont like battered fried - its relevant for me the customer. After having looked at and talked to the other patron he said he liked the fries "except for the stuff that was sprinkled on." (Thats the batter I was trying to avoid). I wanted to know for sure so I asked if it was so hard to simply ask the chef if they were battered because she clearly didn't know... I got the side eye from hell over that request... Ms Attitude did go ask and - sure enough - battered. I ordered a salad and the waitress went on her cig break. The manager comes out and serves me; I ask about the 5% discount for a Yelp check in. She immediately dropped my food and walked away saying that they didnt sign up for Yelp and hate Yelp. I actually wanted to talk to her but she rudely walked away from me. I was shocked by her behavior. I never saw either again. Seriously? If you cant handle a food or service related question you should reconsider your job. As in "get a new one" because your not fit to lead a service industry team displaying attitude like that toward customers. Neither of the bartender-waitresses checked in on me after those exchanges. Now the food: if you advertise an onion burger as a special BE PREPARED TO ANSWER A QUESTION BECAUSE NO ONE PUTS AN ONION BURGER ON AS A SPECIAL WITHOUT IT BEING "special." The burger had candied onions and canned dried onions - no grilled. The result was a slightly sweet burger. Meat patty good quality. Salad was fresh but the dressing could have been fresher (I thought it was Ranch at first). Not a lot of cheese in it. Aside from the crap service, the food was okay. I can tell you this: I wont return with these two on shift. They both need to reconsider WHY they work in the business because neither seems equipped to deal with the basics of hospitality. When you give attitude - you get attitude - and fewer customers. Surly bartenders don't make good servers. What a shame. I used to really like this place. Let me first off say, I don't like bars, seeing as I don't drink and don't like all the noise, rough housing, and loud TVs. So I was hesitant to come here with the family for a late evening bite. I was pleasantly surprised! Our server Brandon was incredible!!! 5 stars for him. Very personable, fun, joked around and kept things light and pleasant making for an extremely enjoyable dining experience. Very upbeat, bright, good clean feeling yet still cozy with the high booths, although the seats are unpadded wood. Very clean. Bathrooms even for a bar weren't too bad. For the food: My dad had the Baked Ziti pasta, a marinara cream sauce with penne and a healthy helping of melted cheese served with a large, toasty, lightly garlic buttered focacia bread. Wonderful, hit the spot! He didn't like the iced tea, tasted funny, not like a normal tea. My other family member had the corned beef reuben with house cured and roasted meat, and plenty of it! She got it sub salad for fries also. She is very particular about her meats and enjoyed it, was very good. She is very excited to go back! She has happily found a new place to add to her repartee. My mom had the corned beef sandwich which they happily accommodated her dietary needs by placing in a lettuce wrap. She was very impressed with it, very filling! She couldn't even finish her side salad. Her only complaint of her visit was the up charge for the salad. Although not high, it made for an $11 sandwich. She felt the iced tea was a tad strong, she doesn't like it weak. So she was pleased. Being on a restricted diet right now, I was unable to partake in this tasty looking late night food. I've been here a few times, had excellent sliders bbq chicken and a shrimp po boy. The next time I had their prime rib dip with a salad. The employees make you feel very welcome, it's a happy, fun place . It's a spacious, clean sports bar with pool tables, lot of tvs and great food. I'm definitely coming back. read more

I have been in several times for different reasons and will likely go again but only because of the convenience. I like the outdoor seating area despite the often times VERY loud traffic. It's heated back there and fairly comfortable though there are a few leaks when it rains. There's plenty of seating inside too, the place is a good size. The most blaring thing about this place to me though is the customer service which is sub-par on a good day. I have noticed that the way I am treated when I go in is different depending upon how I am dressed, it's a pretty good test of the character of a place. I also see the staff cater to the millennial age category more than any other. Most of the staff are young and lazy and don't seem to want to have to...well, work. They almost act put out if they have to get you a drink or if, God forbid, you beckon them to your table. The bathrooms are a mess. The general overall place is just untidy. The waitstaff doesn't bother clearing the tables, especially in the back area. I saw some trash on the floor and watched as staff walked past it over and over, none of them picking it up. Also, I saw customers clearing tables so they could have a place to sit. Customers shouldn't have to clear tables so they can sit at them. I think that's kind of restaurant 101. Staff seems to want to do as little as is necessary to just barely be able to say they did their job. And they still can't truthfully say that at the end of the day. As for the food, it was also sub-par. The presentation was lovely on the pub burger but it was overcooked and the bacon was burned. The tater tots were spot on but it's pretty hard to fuck up a deep fried tater tot. The flavor was pretty good, I think. This place shouldn't even get a single star. It's the one time I wish I could leave a negative star review. My husband stopped in here once and raved about some burger he had. My bestie called it his "home bar" meaning he went here on a consistent basis when he lived here. Apparently it's turned into a shit hole since then. Both were surprised when I had such negative things to say. I rented the group room in the back for some event with a few other people. Not my choice, it was planned for me and just cost me a ton of money. One person raved about this place and just loves Darcy, a bartender there. It's THE dirtiest place I've ever been. My shoes actually stuck to the floor, and made that gross squishing noise when I pulled my foot up from the floor, with some resistance because it was so sticky. This occurred even in the bathroom. Which screams that they don't mop it ever. The carpeted areas were filthy. I mean, obviously gross, never shampooed, stained. It looked like it's been there since 1975 and never cleaned once. Hoarders have cleaner carpet! Next comes the price. Two pitchers of margaritas and some veggie tray cost me $40, and this was after being split with two other people. None of which I could consume, because I couldn't get over the filthy state of the floors, so I wondered if anything was actually safe to eat. I was also overcharged, twice on my debit card, by $56. I had no problem paying the $40 my receipt said I was charged, but not the $96 they actually charged me. I called, several times before I could reach anyone who even wanted to pretend to give a damn. This took several days. Finally I talked to an accountant, I forget her name who said call Darcy the bartender. I called her and her response was that she didn't have to refund my money and it should be taken up with the other people in my group who I was splitting the cost of this with. She also stated that I was costing her money, but she would give me my money back. I'm like, you stole my money by overcharging me. Not my fault you couldn't charge each card correctly. You cost yourself money by being incompetent. Sorry, sweetheart. So finally after a week, I had my money back, begrudgingly returned to me, with a bitchy attitude. She acted like she was doing me a favor by returning money that was owed to me. Which is ridiculous. I'm like, you charged the cards. Figure out where you screwed up. Not my problem. It's a place I will absolutely never return to again. It was a terrible experience. I couldn't stand to eat there because I wanted to throw up even thinking about where my food came from. If the floors were that gross, I can only imagine what the kitchen looks like, and they essentially stole money from me, which I had to fight to be returned to me. My group of 4 are in from out of state and needed some lunch. We found Wetlands on google recommendations. The overall feel is kind of dated but it was clean. I ordered the mesquite burger with a side salad. I split the meal with someone in my group. The burger was cooked perfectly, medium, I thoroughly enjoyed it. My friends ordered burgers also and were pleasantly surprised at how delicious everything was. Ambiance was fairly quiet with the TVs playing sports news. The bartender ignored us, had to wait way to long for service, I watched a "regular" get 2 refills of Penn and 7 while I was still waiting on a Hefe. The wetlands... or, as a friend use to call it... "the sweat glands". LOL By any name it's still a great choice for a cold beverage, ample seating, and some solid food. I still have yet to find a place that serves a better Cobb salad. And I've been looking pretty hard for a few years. Once upon a time this place hosted UFC PPV nights... some of my best nights with dearest friends were shared here. But since they did away with that, my visits have been much less frequent.
