Ive been in many times over the years and they are always fantastic. Today I had the back alley burger and it was fantastic. It has that hard to find burger crunch caused by the bacon and bun that just hits right in your bite. The beer is always on point. Service is always great and knowledgeable. TVs, fun pictures, music, outside seating, all add to a fun atmosphere. Walk away satisfied and with a bumper sticker for the beer fridge. I honestly need to come here more often. read more

1. Happy Hour Is not Advertised Accurately. Falling Sky claims their happy hour is the best in Eugene. Their website says 2-5 pm at the top and does not specify the days this offered. Other websites incorrectly state the happy hour is offered everyday. This confusion is due to the absence of complete information at the top of their webpage on the happy hour offer. 2. They Don't answer phones. I tried to call Falling Sky to confirm that happy hour is offered. No one answered. When I arrived, staff said they had not charged their phone so it was not working. It appears that they intentionally didn't answer the phone so I could not confirm the accurate information. read more

Chris described everything in enough detail to make it all sound great. I had falling sky the first time from catering at my besties wedding a little over a year ago. The carnitas tacos were amazing, and I still think about the chips. Since then, I've been here many times and the experience is always excellent. The foods delicious, the staff is nice, and the portions are generous. They always have good drinks too, The garlic fries are a favorite, as is the Cajun chicken penne pasta. They serve it with a griddled lime, and it's absolutely magical. I also like that they have the outdoor patio that is dog friendly for the summer time. One of my favorite places in town! read more

My husband and I have become obsessed about Falling Sky over the last few years. They have amazing food and drinks. We were here earlier for dinner, and both ordered burgers. My husband got me the garlic parm fries and he picked truffle fries to go with his burger. My burger was ordered with extra pickles, and it definitely came with extra pickles. It was all perfect. Restaurant was clean and comfortable. Nice and cool on a hot day. Customer service was great. It always is. One of the things I value so much is consistency. I hate wondering if a trip to a restaurant will be good or bad. Falling Sky has nailed consistency, which constantly brings me and my husband back. So I will start off by stating that there are things I would change if I was dictator, but I don't believe they should effect the rating. 1) You order everything at the bar. So if there is a line and you only ordered one beer and when you want another, you have to wait in line to get another. If there is a long line, that could be a while. If you're an out-of-towner, that might be off-putting. So if it's the dinner rush, I suggest ordering 2 beers at a time. 2) The burger I had was amazing. So amazing that I had images of Pulp Fiction in my mind. You know, Samuel L. Jackson saying "This is a tasty burger!" It was that good. But I love bleu cheese. It is an absolute travesty that a burger that good doesn't have bleu cheese on it. If it had bleu cheese on it, I probably would have died from euphoria. I'm just saying, it would be amazing if they had an option for bleu cheese on their burger. 3) Get the flan if they are serving it. It's delicious. 4) I only had one kind of beer. It was the Chicken Little Imperial IPA, which was really tasty. However I long for the old-timey IPAs that taste like a glass full of dirt. Make Earthy IPAs Great Again. Until they make a comeback, floral, citrusy IPAs will have to do and the this one did the trick. read more

Do the counter service staff ask you questions and seem to care about your order and preferences? No. But can you sit comfortably and hear eachother speak? Also no. But when you pay over $20 for a two piece order of fish & chips it's not just a pile of greasy fries and two insanely small chunks of fish less than the size of a ramekin.. right...?? We kindly said something about how disappointed we were about the serving size compared to the price. All we got was a stare. Still tipped 20% for them running our food and not checking on us once. Very good food, fantastic service, lots of seating inside and on the outside patio and they have a big beer list with a four or six flight beer option. For as busy as this place was when we got here they do a much better job running the food from their kitchen than another popular brewery that also has a full kitchen. Been here twice since my initial review and I'm standing by my review, food is super good and quality is great. I got a burger with garlic aoli on it, garlic parmesan fries and my boyfriend got a new barbecue burger with cajun fries, both tasted great. The ranch here is really good, and the ketchup is good too. Quality ingredients here. Service is always casual, friendly. Usually come here for a date but it can be casual too with friends, there's plenty of outdoor seating too. We have yet to make it to happy hour but hopefully we hit it up this summer at some point! read more

Had a few beers here. I had the white pomegranate which was sour but tasty. Ordered nachos and bean burger with fries. The fries were very greasy. Everything was large proportions and I took home half my burger. Cute decor with the rain theme. They were very busy when we came and were trying their best. It has a live DJ (really). And the food is very good. You order at the counter and they bring you your food. Some of the seating is at shared tables--which is not really my jam--but I would rather have some seating than none. There is seating available both inside and on the outdoor patio. Keep an eye out for specials. I had a Cuban sandwich that was terrific. I also tried an "autumn" old fashioned that was delicious. And you can't go wrong with the burgers. They are big and flavorful. For goodness sake, don't just settle for ordinary fries. They have about 10 different types of fries and their policy on what constitutes a "side" dish is the most liberal and generous I have ever seen. This place is small but mighty. Checked out this popular brewery in downtown Eugene. Falling Sky has been around for a while and has a following. It has quite a few beers to choose from with pretty good variety. Has okay prices for being local and craft. There's also food including pizzas and sandwiches. Beers are why people come here of course. It's got quite a few. They have a pretty good selection among the styles and variety. Also pretty affordable for craft beers in a hip area. It's about $6 a pint. The one we liked the best was the Puddles Porter. Amazingly not too thick like many of the porters seem to be. This ought to be a popular one. It's named after the Oregon mascot, that duck. They have a good food menu. Has meaty and plant based choices. It's $6 for Chips And Pico. There's also the Emerald Valley Ravioli for vegans. It's $20 so it's expensive, but it's awesome. Those wanting meaty can get burgers, and they have rotating flavors that change monthly. For sure it's a popular stop in the downtown area among the bars and fun. It's closed Mondays. The beer is the best thing about it, but the food is pretty good too, and has options for both meat eaters and vegetarians. read more

I hadn't been here in a long time and was craving a burger. I know they have great ones here and sure enough, they did. I also got the side of fries with the Parmesan and garlic and I absolutely loved them. I actually ate every single one. They also have a great selection of beers, and I had their hazy IPA. Wasn't quite as sharp and crisp as I like it to be. In the summer they have really nice outside seating. Today, being in the 30s, wasn't the time to eat outside! I've throughly enjoyed each of my few experiences coming here with friends. The large picnic tables make it perfect for 6-10 friends to sit together. Pictured is their Pastrami Reuben from my most recent visit and damn was it delicious and hearty! I'm typically a devour everything in front of me kind of eater, but this I opted to take half home! Partly to extend the delicious experience, but mainly because I was satisfied after eating half of it, along with the generous pile of truffle fries! Also, not sure if the ketchup is homemade or not, but it was super tasty as well! Not pictured is their Orange Dreamsicle Mocktail. Unsurprisingly that was also super tasty. They have a few mocktails to choose from, which is appreciated. Last but certainly not least, the staff have always been super friendly and helpful. We tried a kombucha and a sour. I wouldn't say either blew us away but they were decent. There is some TVs inside playing different sports, a great little display of umbrellas (falling sky!). My husband came here before for a tour and was really impressed by their beers so we came back a couple weeks later so I could experience it. I'm not a big beer drinker so I let him tell me how good those were, while I tried a seltzer. I have no idea if Falling Sky created this drink or if it was an outside company but it was delicious! I wish I remembered the name. Anyway, we also ordered food of course. We ordered the pretzel (hard to go wrong here!) and I tried the Cuban sandwich. I've been meaning to try one of these for years, after having seen the movie Chef. I'm not sure how authentic their Cuban is, but it was very good. Definitely has a lot going on, probably a bit too much sauce IMO. Was only able to eat half at the time, but it was still good eaten cold the next day too. But the pulled pork was great, it all had a lot of flavor and their standard seasoned fries are YUM! Will definitely come back, this little tucked away hole in the wall was worth it. Decor is natural/industrial and the rainy day theme is on point (umbrellas and beer names). Outdoor seating looked inviting too, which I bet was hard to pull off being on an alleyway. Oh my god... the poutine!!! My first time.. and yes, a die and go to heaven moment. Fries smothered in gravy with cheese curds! We just ate at Falling Sky Brewing I had the most luscious cubano! With crispy and juicy shredded pork, ham, cheese and pickles squished to deliciousness. And the perfect amout of mustard... the mustard is what makes it for me! With a side kale ceasar, a perfect pairing. Hubby had the Ruben, with house made pastrami and saurkrawt. Not too sour, on a marbled rye. He loved it. I don't love ordering at the counter but staff were super nice, helpful, and accommodating. Staff was VERY rude. Don't have all of your stuff out on the counter if you don't want people to take it. I grabbed a lid for my to-go sauce and it was ripped out of my hand by the man behind thr counter who basically yelled at me and chastised me for not being "sanitary" then handed me a lid that was filthy from the food on his gloves. There was no sign. It was not obvious that the lids could not be self service. If that's actually the case, dont keep them right next to the register. - OR - NOVEL IDEA: JUST BE NICE WHEN YOU TELL CUSTOMERS NOT TO USE THE LIDS. I didn't deserve to be yelled at by him. I heard another customer be snapped at for something similar as well. Other staff members were not thrillingly nice either. If I hadn't been forced to tip when I paid, I would not have tipped. Falling Sky offers craft brews and really tasty, high quality lib grub. I visited Eugene for a weekend to visit my cousin who goes to UO. As I do in a place I'm visiting that I'm not familiar with I Yelp searched for a pub or brewery. I'm super happy I chose Falling Sky. You walk up and order your food and drink at the counter. I was warmly greeted by an employee who suggested a beer and a couple food options. The pretzel was buttery and salty and the Pilsner was excellent. Whenever I'm visiting my family in Eugene, I have to check out some of the local breweries. This time around, my first stop was Falling Sky Brewing. SPACE: Falling Sky Brewing is tucked back on Oak Alley off 13th Street. Inside, there's a variety of touches that give a nod to the rain-based vibe of the brewery, including an umbrella themed canopy and posters. During my visit it was even raining - it was on brand for sure. Ha! SIPS: When I have the option, I try to grab a flight at new breweries to get a feel for the brews they offer up. This visit was no difference. So after browsing the menu, I chose the following: Madre Especial Mexican Lager, Torrential Sours Blood Orange, Hazy Strata Fresh Hop, and Pre-sip German Pilsner. They were all delicious. While I love fruity and sour brews, the Mexican lager and Pilsner stood out the most for me. The pilsner was crisp and clean. While the Mexican lager would be an excellent crushable patio brew for the summer. Yum! SUSTENANCE: I was excited to see that they offered up a full, drool-worthy menu. After weighing the different options, I opted for an order of the fish 'n' chips. While the fish was fresh and super tasty, the breading lacked that oomph that I was hoping for. It was served up with a mountain of fries! SERVICE: The staff were all super friendly. They offered up conversation while I placed my order, and even displayed their artistic skills when they were out of their typical flight order pads. Drawing their iconic cloud flight carrier out to help me map my brews. Love it! Falling Sky Brewing was a great way to kick off my latest Eugene brewventure, and I'll absolutely be back. What's up: Finishing up our beer tour with one last stop for the day. Our friends had came here once before and they had recommended to try it out. Parking: There's a small parking lot not too far away from the entrance of the building. Environment: The place was not too busy. They have both indoor and outdoor seating available. The restrooms are located to the right of all the merch and are clearly marked. We placed our order at the bar and picked one of the tables to sit at. The tap list is located above the counter and even lists out some of the favorites. They also have a rainy day discount: $0.50 off your beer. The umbrella decor lining the top of the room was very appropriate and added some pop of color to the interior. What was ordered: - The Drizzle - Hazy Hawkeye Yay/Nay/Meh: Yay. Best beer is town! No joke, if you want some of the Northwest's finest brews, Falling Sky will not fail. Having a rotating kegerator and being a keen beer aficionado, I've sampled most of the breweries in the area and no libation compares to the experimental perfection executed by this fine brewery. If you want good beer come here. Now the food. Great pub fare, reasonably priced and using festive ingredients for all dietary types. The heavy fellow with the multi-colored hair was rude to us without reason. I'm sorry you're having a bad day, or hate your job, or are unhappy with life, but if I acted that way to customers at my job, I would be fired immediately. How did this extremely rude individual get hired? Why does he think it's ok to take out the chip on his shoulder on customers of a business he doesn't even own? Also, when we received our Fourteen Dollar side of chicken strips with fries, the fries were burnt to a crisp. Their beer was passable, but not even in the top 10 for eugene. I would over look the burnt fry pieces and mediocre beer, but I'm not interested in being belittled, berated & talked down to in a patronizing tone, by some middle aged slovenly and visibly sweaty guy, who made it all too clear he'd rather be looking at his phone than helping us.
