We looooove bartini!!!!! Great drinks, love the fanfare, kind staff- just the best! Love the disco ball lol.

Excellent service and cocktails. We also ordered bubbling Brie which was tiny and expensive. We weren't impressed by it. Great for cocktails and to start a date night. Was a little loud for conversing.

    Pisco Sour. Well made.

Went for the first time with some friends. We were NOT disappointed! The plates each had great flavor. We shared the Flank Steak special, Baked Brie, Blistered Tomatoes & Sweet Pepper Dip, Roasted & Curried Eggplant Dip and Grilled Peach Ice Cream and Berries & Creme. All were excellent. However, the Eggplant was to die for! Amazing flavor! Ordered a Pisco Sour (wasn't on the menu, but it was excellent as well). Worth going! Service was great as well.

I'm not sure this place met my expectations but it was a last minute decision and was overall fine. I expected better or more drink options but that may be because didn't particularly love either drink I had. But overall the service was good. It's a small space so if busy it is a tight fit.

Dirty Salvadore... my new best friend. It's a dirty vodka martini spiced up. Love that they have gluten-free options or can make many of their dishes gluten-free without compromising the dish. Whether you like brussels sprouts or not, you should try theirs. Cute intimate spot with very attentive customer service. Looking forward to the summer and setting outside.

Went for afternoon cocktails on my birthday and sat outside on the patio. Baked brie bread was absolutely amazing. Cocktails were also fantastic, but the brie and the bread really stole the show for me. Staff is always so lovely and helpful.

So this small quaint little bar is so cozy and inviting. Craft drinks you can't find anywhere else, pure art in your mouth.

    Such a cute space!

Such a lovely little spot! We were hungry when we arrived in Eugene after a long road trip from San Francisco. I know I wanted a refreshing cocktail too, so this place caught my eye. The staff was really helpful and friendly, the vibe of the space was really cool and also cozy. We had a few great small plates and fantastic cocktails. This makes for a great date night spot! Check it out!

Love this place. The staff is great and their Bartender Leah is my favorite bartender! She makes the most unique and delicious craft cocktails around. First class service every time!

We had fun here! Very cozy and romantic. Great for a second date if you wanna get close we loved the drinks, it was hard to make a choice. Friendly and quick service! We'll be back next time to share some food.

Super tasty drinks and friendly staff! I really enjoy trying new cocktails and this place really nails the combinations. I never felt like anything was under- or over-boozy. Be prepared to spend though, these aren't cheap drinks.

Absolutely love this place! Their cocktails are beautiful and creative, and very delicious as well. We went for a friends birthday and happened to be there on karaoke night, so much fun! The whole bar atmosphere is very inviting and makes for a perfect night out with your friends. The staff was very friendly and helpful and made the whole night one to remember. Next time I visit Eugene I will be coming back for a night at BarTini!

Excellent service and cocktails. We also ordered the bubbling Brie which was tiny and expensive. Overall not impressed with that. Great for cocktails and to start a date night. Was a little loud for conversation.

Yours truly enjoying my Poppie Longstockings.

The Skybar is located on the 5th floor of the building along with the Hotel lobby... uh okay. The staff are all very pleasant and accommodating. We went to the SkyBar and found it to be a smallish yet convenient place to wait for guests or visitors along with getting a drink or a bite to eat. The bar looks like it can accommodate about 30 people in the interior. There is a nice outdoor patio that can easily accommodate more when the weather is nice. The barkeeper was very attentive and observant, he took our food and drink requests at the bar and in short order, everything was presented. I had a Moscow Mule that I found to be a refreshing drink. Ginger beer, lime and vodka. An excellent combination. I also had an order of the chicken wings and fries. The fries were a normal shoestring variety, cooked well, nicely salted and came in a metal bowl. The wings I found to be outstanding! I don't usually get wings this well made unless I do it myself. I received 8 wings coated with barbecue sauce on a charcuterie board with the fries. The wings were served nicely hot. The meat was piping hot, juicy and tender. The barbecue coating was a hearty middle of the road sauce, not sweet or too smoky. It was caramelized perfectly for that sticky texture and flavor. Definitely a nice coating. Thankfully the bartender brought us a lot of napkins. The wings and fries made for a satisfying meal. The bar boasts a couple of gas fireplaces that make for a warming environment with a few semi private tables. There is a longer table for a larger group as well as several smaller tables and a few bar stools for game watching. All in all we found the bar to be a cozy semi-private environment, yet available to the guests as they come and go. All around, a nice meeting area and watering hole. We will book our family members for a stay here at the hotel. I'm looking forward to trying more of their specialty drinks.

The decor feels arbitrary and hasn't grown in the 3 years between my visits. The bartop is tiny despite plenty of wide open space in the venue, adding to that empty feeling. But it's the only tiki bar for miles and it has a unique tiki + horror theme that I appreciate: emphasizing creepy mugs, playing vintage Godzilla on the TV, and a collection of drinks named after monsters. They also have custom mugs for sale, which is always awesome to see. My partner enjoyed her Chinese Mai Tai, but my Bride of Frankenstein tasted like light cream. The service was good. They were professional and personable and bantered well with everyone around the bar. There seemed to be plenty of regulars making the rounds in the early afternoon. So if you're in Eugene and want a tiki drink, this is the place to go.

I got there right at 4pm when they opened since it was a Friday night, 4th of July weekend so did not know if I was going to get a big crowd since I had no reservations. I ordered the following: House Chianti (excellent)!! regret that I did not take a picture of the bottle ($14) Bone Marrow Appetizer: melt in your mouth delicious ($19) Filet Mignon: delicious, it had a morel mushroom sauce and it was absolutely divine. I got it medium rare and it was perfect ($50) 6 Oyster's: very meaty and you need to ask for fresh horseradish and tabasco sauce. They only have 1 small bottle of tabasco sauce for the whole restaurant and they serve raw oysters... what??? that is insane!!! ($4.50 PER OYSTER-that is insane too but they were nice an meaty). The environment is lively, mostly because Taro is personable and we were able to see him create beautiful sushi dishes live while hearing him engage with the customers seated around him. It was actually really fun listening to his stories, and seeing how he is passionate about the food he makes. He was excited about the uni and was talking about how the fish he orders is from Spain and how he really wanted to order another great cut of fish. The food was delicious, even down to the house sodas they have. We ordered the summer margarita with fresh berries, lime soda, cold beet appetizer, veggie donburi, chef's choice spicy trio hand rolls, chocolate mochi blackberry cake - and at the end Taro gave us 2 nigiri on the house. The house lime soda - usually soda is nothing to blink an eye at, but the lime flavor was fresh and just the right amount of sweetness. We were surprised by how good it was. The summer margarita was a delight, the alcohol and fresh summer flavors balanced perfectly so that neither overpowered the other. The beet appetizer was fun to try. Beets can sometimes be too earthy/muddy in flavor, but the nutty dressing paired with the salty, crunchy puffed chip paired well with the soft bites of beet. The veggie donburi bowl was much bigger than expected, and everything on it was good. The tempura tofu was well executed - silken tofu encased in a thin/crispy layer that tasted light and not greasy. The overall flavor of the bowl is akin to teriyaki, but less sweet and more of a deep umami and more smoky flavor. The handrolls had a good amount of fish to rice/topping ratio. The wasabi actually has some real wasabi in it, and the pickled ginger and soy sauce made every bite flavorful. Very filling. The fish were all fresh and tasted great. My partner who almost never eats meat couldn't resist and ate a piece of nigiri and loved it. The mochi chocolate cake was very unique and definitely worth trying. I find most chocolate cake too sweet with a generic cocoa powder flavor and too heavy. The texture of the cake is not too dense, but has a nice mochi bite to it while tasting a deep cacao flavor without it feeling too heavy. The sweet/richness is just right paired with bites of fresh blackberries. Honestly, may be the best dessert I've eaten so far this year. The interior is well decorated and pays homage to Akira the anime. The hostess who greeted us seemed stressed and it definitely showed on her face the whole night. But, our server was kind and attentive. Despite the handrolls taking ~20 mins to show up, the food was delicious and worth the wait. There is so much more to try on the menu. Will gladly come back and support Taro and crew!

At one point, the bartender disappeared for approximately fifteen minutes, leaving several patrons waiting without acknowledgment. When she finally returned, she casually mentioned she had been on a personal phone call. A second woman then stepped behind the bar, immediately clarifying that she was not, in fact, a bartender. When I expressed concern about the extended absence and lack of service--something I would consider standard feedback in any hospitality setting--I was abruptly told I was "speaking badly" about the staff and was asked to leave. This kind of defensiveness and disregard for patrons is deeply unprofessional, especially for an establishment that positions itself within a community where communication, accountability, and mutual respect are paramount. Eugene has a growing nightlife and alternative culture scene, and many people--locals and visitors alike--expect spaces that uphold those values. Based on my experiences, I cannot recommend The Serpent & the Sparrow. There are other venues in town that offer a far more welcoming environment, competent service, and a genuine respect for their patrons.
