This store is awesome - I was visiting Victoria/Courtenay/Vancouver Island, and this store is so unique and charming. It's got a fantastic ship decor and it's not just a kid's store - it's sure to entertain any age. I got a modern glow-in-the-dark frisbee, and it's helping my husband and I get exercise. a cool store but with unfriendly staff. we've gone in here a few times as we love to shop locally and love toys! we've never been greeted warmly upon going in the store. and heaven forbid you say you're just browsing. the vibe gets chillier by the minute. it's a toy store people! lighten up please! it should be the funnest store to visit in courtenay! read more

I popped into my favourite toy store in the Comox Valley to pick up another playmobil kit for a sweet young girl named Maria. With great dedication she had earned herself many medals at her last riding competition so I picked up a nice pony with stable and she was thrilled with it. The staff at this store is amazing and their carry so much stock they can save you time directing you to exactly where the perfect gift is placed. With all the Big Box stores out there who don't provide personal service this gem continues to bring in customers generation after generation. Well done Whale's Tale Toys for providing such excellent service. Just advise then of the age of the child and they will offer a number of excellent products that are sure to impress. read more
