I called the front office a week or so before we moved out of 8409 Oden ave, to see if our pet deposit of $500 would be used towards the repair/cleaning cost. I was assured it would be. I call my property manager Tiea Vincent (who, by the way, also works for the company that re-keys the houses) to see what the cost of repairs/cleaning/rekey would be, she informed me that I was only getting $400 and some change back. WHAT out of the $1500 total I gave you? She then proceeded to tell me that whoever told me they use pet deposits as to clean/repair gave me wrong information and that they "had a new employee" and she may have told me that. Look, I know that money wasn't coming back to me, it was non-refundable, but to tell me that it's going to be used for repairs/cleaning, then surprise me with it not being true, is insane. I was going to use the money leftover from the deposit to fly home this year to see my family, and now I'm not. I'm in the Navy, if they'll do this to a navy family, they'll do it to anyone. Don't give me that crap about "we're right up there with tax collectors etc etc" You're liars, cheats, and this is entirely different from taking a few bucks from my deposit. I'm a very fair person, I usually give the benefit of the doubt... but they've wronged us in so many ways that google doesn't even allow me to have enough characters for (don't worry, the real review is going everywhere else). DO NOT TRUST THIS BUSINESS. DO NOT USE THEM. Any navy personnel looking for a new home for you and your family, let base housing, or literally any other business help you. The BBB needs to look into this place and take them down.

Got to my apartment, and it had never been cleaned. My windows do not lock properly, had to run my water for 2 days non stop, no screens or blinds on any window. My door has a huge gap in it, so the cockroaches that are in every apartment come through my door. Any maintenance request you put in, they put a bandaid on it and don't fix it properly. But then they will bill you because the problem isn't there. My newest neighbor just moved in with her kids... and her unit is already flooding from an existing problem they knew about from the previous tenants leaving the place. Now there is mold in the walls, and all of us are dealing with the headache... even though JWB gutted the apartment 2 months ago for flooding damage.

Every time I try to speak with someone, the employees either don't seem to know what's going on, give inconsistent information, or fail to follow through. It often feels like I'm being ignored or told things that aren't accurate just to move the conversation along. To make matters worse, when I finally had a scheduled tour, the lockbox did not work at all. I had to call three separate times for assistance, and no one was able to resolve the issue. I showed up at my scheduled time and still couldn't access the property. As a prospective tenant, this experience has been very disappointing. If it's this difficult just to view a property, it raises concerns about how issues might be handled after signing a lease. I hope they improve their organization and communication moving forward.
