Yes, it's that good here. In Sweden they apparently don't eat pancakes or any big breakfast though! Small portions are normal here, the options are yogurt, pastries and tiny meat sandwiches.
On day one I settled for an herb-bun pastry that was some sort of sweet bread, accompanied by an espresso. First off the pastry was excellent, better than American pastries, however the espresso was so good compared to my normal Starbucks routine that I wasn't sure how to take it!
Day two I switched it up and asked for hot coffee with cream and grabbed a cheese croissant from the self-serve pastry bar. The barista asked "milk?," which I replied "yes!" So they do milk here, not cream. Fantastic, both options by the way. After a few sips of coffee I'm high as a kite! The croissant was ah-maaaaaazing!
You can sit outside and people watch or stay inside. Today I'm inside so I can write my family back home while my buddy sleeps for a couple more hours.
The icing on the cake here, noted by other reviewers, is that Stieg Larsson, author of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, frequented this joint. Who knows, perhaps I'm sitting in his seat today?
