There are many picnic tables for patrons and behind the building is an area for kids to play, a nice playground. A food truck is next to the ice cream service area. We went back for lunch a few days into our trip. We ordered 2 Italian Sausages w/ peppers and onions, a side of Mac-n- cheese squares (fried)- oh my! Yum! They had a sizable lunch crowd. Compared to ice cream spots we frequent in more populated areas, selections here may seem limited. But there is surely something that will satisfy your sweet tooth if you don't have too restricted of a diet. They serve all hard-scoop Hershey's ice cream. My hubbs and son were pleased with their choices (Camo-Cream and Cookie Dough), and my small peanut butter sundae was sized just right for a reasonable treat. Prices were pretty fair; for the three of us, we paid just over $11. They do offer some specialty milkshakes that looked interesting, which comes with a glass mug you keep. We will work our way to trying one of those sometime. We did not eat any of the diner food this time, but there were a couple of patrons at the picnic tables with takeout boxes. The food looked good, like fried and grill food you'd expect from a diner. Currently, during pandemic times, they were only serving takeout only, no indoor seating yet. If you're visiting the Point Breeze area and want an ice cream treat and/or a diner meal, give Hayden's a try.

It was raining when we visited so we took our sundaes to go. The staff was friendly and efficient. They happily answered the questions we had prior to ordering. We both ended up ordering peanut butter sundaes made with hard ice cream of our choice. He opted for peanut butter cup and I chose queen of hearts. Both were dressed with peanut butter sauce & hot fudge, pretty much "crusted" with smashed peanut butter cups and topped off with whipped cream and a cherry. The cost came to just under $14. It was a perfect after dinner treat and helped to brighten a rainy day!

They sell Hoovers milk products as well on store which is a nice touch. They always have specials as well as their classics. The cookies are consistent in taste, size and overall quality. The store is clean and is a nice environment. I have always had prompt and friendly service while there. The cookies are pricey. They are also huge and they use quality ingredients. I like to bake so we don't usually purchase baked goods, but we do buy the cookies here because they are delicious! This is one of my dog's favorite places. She LOVES cream and the pup cup here is her favorite. It is quite a big size so I usually ask for a small portion of it. She particularly enjoys the peanut butter drizzle on top and likes to sit outside at the picnic tables with us to enjoy it. They offer vegan and gluten free options, which I have not gotten so I am unsure of what they do about any potential cross contamination etc.

At first, we thought it was just an ice cream place, until noticing the taco sign. My ice cream was nice and peanut buttery with chocolate graham thoughout. The sundae was made with peanut butter cup hard ice cream and topped with crushed PB cups, chocolate & PB sauce, whipped cream and a cherry. I definitely plan to visit Reid's ice cream again... The large size was $5.25 including tax (sorry, no picture; I was excited to eat it). Though very friendly, the service was a tad slow and my custard had a little hollow section in the middle. I'm guessing they have some new employees that are still learning the ropes. I would visit again... Maybe later in the season. To note, there is an extra fee when using a credit card. They have seating under a roofed patio as well as some tables behind the building in the yard underneath some trees.

A lot of ice cream places around here serve up Perry's. It's a local corporation that fills grocery stores with its signature flavours. It's pretty average, at best, although people in WNY seem to like it. But if you're going to go to an ice cream parlour and actually pay for an ice cream, why should it be the same sh** you get in the grocery store? Cut out the middle woman and get it right from the store, save some money. And yet most parlours in these parts do exactly that: buy Perry's from Wegmans or Tops, then sell it at a massive mark-up. I refuse to give those sorts of parlours more than a 4, and I usually give less. Then every now and again you find a gem. Cruiser's is that gem. Not a lot of people drive through LeRoy, NY these days, since most are on the pay-for-play Thruway I-90. But if you were to come East from Rochester on 490, and instead of entering the I-90, you just keep on going , you will soon be in LeRoy, named after a girl named Jennifer LeRoy, maybe. And here in LeRoy, tucked away and hidden on the main street west of the town, is Cruiser's. And it's the homemade ice cream you dreamed of. Was looking for a place to sit around and be pathetic. Came here. Thought it was called "Losers." Ended up with phenom ice cream instead. Owned by Eddie from Eddie And The Cruisers, and also a manufacturing plant for Cruise Missiles and the Cruise Control feature on cars, not to mention a shrine to the great funny-running 5-foot-4 bastion of Scientology, Tom Cruise, this little parlour is as good as any famous one with 1,000 reviews that you've tried in any of the big Yelp cities. I recommend the coffee mocha, the coffee bean, the bananas foster, and any other flavour they recommend. So, so, so deliciously good. It's a tragedy that it's not more popular and beloved with the kids of the region. A lot of people go to the Perry's places because those people are suckers for brand names and don't understand the concept of homemade and local ice cream. Anyone can sell buckets of Perry's. The woman at Cruiser's was telling me how, because they cost a few cents more than the Perry's places (because they make all their own sh** and don't even make much of a profit on it), people complain about the prices. The prices are dirt cheap! The portions are enormous! And some people just don't get it. Do yourself a favour and get down to Cruiser's and try the ice cream. Thanks. But yeah.
