Visited Whataburger in Atlanta recently and had a really good experience overall. The burgers were fresh, flavorful, and made exactly how I ordered them. The fries were hot and crispy, and the portions were satisfying. Staff members were polite and worked quickly even during a busy time. The restaurant was clean and had a nice atmosphere. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the wait time was a little longer than expected. Still, definitely a great spot for a tasty burger meal, and I'd visit again. read more

We were at a breakfast spot close to this one and were looking at $40 for a similar option for two of us. Went with the cooked to order "fast breakfast" and won't even consider the other option again. Great food and amazing price. Had I not already had a large coffee I made at home I woulda ordered the iced coffee there. This location will do high volume breakfast, lunch and dinner. With the touch screen order option and drive through they will rise to the level of demand and establish themselves as the local place to go for great fast food. I have always heard about Whataburger and never experienced it until earlier tonight. We went through the drive through window until our food arrived. The hamburger was big. No pickles was what I requested, the onions, tomatoes, lettuce remained. My large Chocolate milkshake was huge. And the fries on the side was less salt and shoestring style. The hamburger, the top bun was not as soft as I would like. The rest of the burger waa okay. The fries I liked it wasn't as salty and soft parts were not as mushy or oily. Everything could improve with this establishment! The drive-thru wait times were so extended, that patrons were putting their cars in park and turning the engines off. If I could have turned around, I would have done so!! The staff are lax and do not take care to ensure your order is correct. And particularly during this visit, blatantly LIE after I'd noted the errors. The food was not prepared as requested, certain items being cold, missing and overcooked. I tried contacting the store # shown on the receipt, but they never answered. When a restaurant does not prioritize the service, food, and more importantly, THE BRAND, why bother? After hearing so much hype surrounding Whataburger we decided to give it a try. They should rename it "Whatadisappointment"! Service lackluster and non existent compared to their competitors Shake Shack, Chick Fil a or In and Out. The restaurant was clean but cold & lacked character. But we came for the food, which was equally cold & lacked flavor. The veggie toppings were fresh, but the burger was dry and the bun was old tasting. So - first time ever at a Whataburger. Being a lover of In-n-Out I was eager to try it. The young lady that too our order was so pleasant and quite the salesperson... I applauded her effort at the attempts to upsell...the operator should be proud. So ordered a Cheeseburger, Fries, Onion Rings and Boneless Buffalo Chicken Wings...ok I know it's not a burger - but cut me some slack needed to try different options - LOL - they were tasty with just the right amount of heat and plenty of sauce... I'd get them again. The burger was on point also - fresh and the toppings were fresh too - so often onions, lettuce and tomatoes are all soggy and gross ...these were still fresh and crunchy adding to the overall taste of a freshly prepared burger. The fries were my favorite type - the thin "micky-d's" type - salty and good. The onion rings not so much - won't get them again, felt like the frozen commercial type I'd get at a restaurant wholesale. But no shade intended.. the over taste of my food was good and the experience was good... now the tables needed a wipe down and some general clean up would have improved the overall experience... but I understand staffing etc. I'll be back when I need a grab and go burger for sure. read more

This is the slowest Whataburger I have been to & to get cold food after waiting. This is my 3rd time coming in- 2nd time for breakfast and the first was lunch. I ordered lunch on my app prior to coming in. We waited over 30 minutes for lunch. Waited about 20 minutes in the drive thru with a toddler in the back. Pretty long wait for a Sunday afternoon. When we pulled up to Menuboard, it was fairly easy to see what we want. First time going to try this Whataburger last night around 7:00 PM. Immediately upon entering there was a strong smell of chlorine and we saw someone scrubbing the entire floor. The odor was so overcoming that we had to immediately leave as it was burning our eyes and throats. I appreciate cleanliness but scrubbing floors with such a toxic smelling cleaner at the height of the dinner hour seems ridiculous. We've not had this issue at other locations. I honestly like Whataburger when it is fresh and not a long line. However, their chairs make a lot of noice and reminds me of metal jail house chairs with only 2 booths. Very cold atmosphere. I ate there today and my fries were cold and chewy. Another issue is their app works about half the time and even though they push you to use a kiosk, the kiosk only takes a credit card and it won't deduct the money from your prepay app or let you order and use rewards that way. We hadn't had Whataburger in a few years since visiting our daughter in FL. Before that it was probably the 90s since we had it in San Antonio, TX. Today, we went to the location near Cumberland Mall and my husband had the Jalapeño & Cheese Whataburger whatameal and I had the Sweet & Spicy Bacon Burger whatameal. Initially, we were given fries that were hot but taste like they were old and recooked in oil.
