Pulled up to 1911 to get a chicken biscuit and it was cool. Great size. The chicken was juicy but could have been a little bit more seasoned. The biscuit was moist but too crumbly/broke apart too easily. Could've done without the scoop of scrambled eggs, they were kind of everywhere. I fried egg would have made sense. Honey Butter would've pulled this all together but they don't carry it. That would have helped the kind of dryness of the overall sandwich and boosted the flavor. I put jelly on it, that helped some. read more

How can you stop it to a place that has biscuits in its name. Super glad we did. This was a cool place and the food matched the vibe. The entire staff was super friendly and helpful. Based on the recommendation I went with the loaded burger...and it was. Great burger and then add the bacon, split red hot, grilled onions and chili and WOW! When it hit the table I was told I'd need four napkins and they were right. Just the right amount of mess, but it mostly stayed in the bun. My wife got the chicken sandwich and she loved it. I am a sucker for hand cut fries and these were excellent! A great salt and pepper splash on them made them that much tastier. read more

I live nearby and loveee locally owned diners with good burgers, so I came here with a friend earlier this week with very high hopes. Unfortunately my hopes were squashed pretty quickly. Right when you walk in your are greeted with a blue lives matter display near the front door. There are also lots of police and fire patches put up as decoration. I know if the owners read this they will most likely not understand what I mean, but that sort of display of beliefs definitely results in a group of your potential customers not feeling safe or welcomed here. It's sad that we have businesses doing that in this area. I expect it in the boonies, not in metro Atlanta. I honestly have no clue how this place has such high ratings. Maybe the breakfast food is much better? Idk. First things first, the food came out in aluminum foil and a to-go container. We ordered dine-in. We can't get a plate around here?? Lol. Second, the food we had for lunch was very subpar. The chili in my chili cheese burger was way too tangy and tomato-y. Kinda tasted more like salsa than anything savory. So that was unpleasant. The rest of the burger was okay. The fries weren't good at all, kinda cold and floppy. No crunch or crisp to them at all. Tasted chewy and boring. My friend bought one of their miniature pecan pies and didn't like it at all. He couldn't see any pecans in it and it was pretty dry and crumbly. Overall the diner looks cute, I like the aesthetic from the outside etc. Inside it looks dirty. Not really what you're wanting to see for a restaurant. This restaurant needs: a redo of their decor, some major TLC inside, and menu revamp. It also needs better employee training, because we heard two of the workers laughing and cursing up a storm while we were eating. I came here with a client for lunch. The restaurant had a few people eating but was not very crowded. It had kind of like a diner feel and was very casual. I ordered the ultimate chicken sandwich and a sweet tea. She ordered a burger. My sandwich came out and they had accidentally not put in her order so we had to wait for hers to be cooked after I already received mine. Although this occurred, the staff were very quick to fix her order and brought it out in no time. The mixture of sauces was very nice on the ultimate chicken sandwich. Next up was the Ultimate Chicken Sandwich, which was packed with flavor and came with a generous piece of chicken--definitely a satisfying bite. We also tried the wings in two flavors: Reaper and Honey BBQ. The Reaper had a perfect balance--spicy enough to get your attention but not so hot that you couldn't enjoy them. Had coffee, chicken biscuit, and side of potatoes all of which tasted like like camp cafeteria made (the breading on the chicken literally was falling off like a thin film - like it was just a microwaved frozen biscuit sandwich). I stopped into this spot after church one Sunday. This was my second time patronizing the business. On my first visit I just grabbed a biscuit from drive through. On my most recent visit I opted for a dine in experience. This is the type of spot where you order your food at the counter and are given a buzzer to let you know when your order is ready. I opted to try the catfish and grits meal. To my surprise they do offer it grilled instead of fried! I opted to get it cooked in Cajun seasoning. The restaurant has seating both inside and outside. Since it was such a nice day we opted to sit on a bench outside. While you wait on your food you can grab napkins and silverware so that you have everything you need once your food is ready. It does appear that the food is cooked to order. It took about 10 minutes for our order to be ready. The first thing I noticed with my meal is that it was extremely salty! This may have been the result of the seasoning I requested. I would not recommend it if you are trying to watch your salt intake! I mean they went over board with it! The fish was served with grits and eggs. It was an average breakfast. The grits were not thick, which is my preference. The eggs were ok. I honestly just feel like the seasoning over powered. The meal. If you are in need of a breakfast meal I would suggest giving them a try. I think the main thing is just going in understanding that it's a basic breakfast spot. I have loved this place for the longest time, but more recently I have seen the business and mainly service, go down hill. Especially during the later lunch shift (they close roughly around 4). There are many stipulations of food prep that they will not do ( certain sauces cannot go on certain items, you cannot pay extra to have a specified number of drums or flats for your wings, etc.) which is surprising for a "mom and pop" ownership. The breakfast and early rush is wonderful and I wonder if it is because the part owner is in the building helping customers and possibly watching the staff's service. The service is quick and polite. Food is good. It drops off significantly after the early morning diner rush. I consistently choose 1911 over its direct neighbor, Chikfila, because I like to support local business ( even though it is more expensive overall, which I understand), but with rude custom service, it makes it harder to want to go back. read more

Sausage gravy was delicious and included on the side with my to-go order. Staff seemed very friendly and accommodating. I only picked up, place looked like a regular cafe/diner (maybe back in the day it used to be a Hardee's?), pretty unassuming from the outside and inside with standard tables and chairs.
