I had no idea Whataburger fries were tasteless. I saw them cooked them fresh. The salt was all the way on the bottom. Because I was driving, I couldn't dip them in ketchup. But why they had no flavor. I was thinking about creating a ketchup flavored fries for people on the go. The cashier was very helpful and had a nice smile. But her shirt was so filthy. It's not my job to tell her to wear something more presentable. Restroom was clean, though. I also ordered a Craft Lemonade. I was told that it was made fresh from lemons. I don't taste it though. It had a mechanical taste. I make lemonade at home and I know what fresh lemonade tastes like. This ain't it. Would I come back? You bet. When did fast food not become so fast??? We waited in the drive thru for 22 mins. There was no way to back up or go around, so we were just stuck. Once we finally got to the window, we seen a lot of horse playing from the Employees, which was irritating. With all that being said the food was fresh and satisfied our hunger. The most unprofessional and rude employees at this location. Ordered a milk shake and two apple pies and the young lady at the window handed me a milkshake that the contents where spilling out of the cup. She didn't bother to clean it up before handed it over and when asked if they could clean the cup, she just stared and refused to take it. I had chocolate milk shake all over my hands. We decide to park and go inside the location to address the issue. This experience at this WhatABurger was very pleasant. From the time I got to the talk box all the way through to me leaving. Firstly, the young lady who took my order was very pleasant and patient. She repeated my order back to me to make sure it was correct. And when the gentleman took my payment in lane B ,(the outside lane), he was very kind and courteous. My food also came out very hot. One of the worst whataburgers to order from. The staff acts extremely ghetto and will downright refuse to make food and hide away so they don't have to talk to customers. I normally don't take time to review fast food joints, because it's pretty typical to have a subpar experience at places that are literally serving the masses as fast as possible while earning minimum wage. I have come to have low expectations, and understandably so; which is why this particular Whataburger stood out and warrants a five star review. I walked in, and even though the employees were busy, I was still greeted and assured that someone would be taking my order soon. A sweet young lady popped over and took our order with such a happy demeanor. She also complimented my eyebrows, but I digress. ;) By the time we filled our cups with the best sweet tea Texas has to offer, we barely sat down before a chipper employee was at our table serving our fresh, hot breakfast with a few jokes and a smile. As a visitor coming to Texas, I wanted to know what the hype of Whataburger was. After landing in Houston from my flight from Mexico, I decided to try this place out. It was like any other average fast food joint. The prices were a bit steep. My regular Whataburger come out to about $5.49. Though I must say the burger was twice of that as a McDouble from McDonalds. As for the taste, it was pretty average. There was nothing to write home about. It tasted like any other processed burger I've had from a fast food place. Fries were kind of limp and tasteless as well. But I will admit, the spicy ketchup was good! Service was great though! All the workers were very nice and helpful with giving suggestions to us Californian noobs about what to order.
