Not sure what has happened here. Last 3 times coming it has taken over 20 minutes to get the order. 3 strikes & you're out Whataburger.

Do not use their app for pre-ordering. Every. Single. Time. we've ordered ahead so it would be ready by the time get there, we've had to wait 15-20 minutes in the parking lot to get our order. And then it was cold as hell. You're much better off just going through the line, it's still slow but there's a better chance of getting your food sooner and it might actually be hot. Update: waited over 30 minutes then had to go thru the line to find out where the order was after the girl at the door refused to get the manager because she "didn't have time because she had to leave in 10 minutes." Her exact words. Manager at the window argued that they didn't have an order under our name. After more arguing and showing our order confirmation, come to find out these morons can't read and our food had been sitting there the whole time. Eating it now COLD AS HELL. Please for the love of god get someone who wants to actually be proud of what they are putting their name on. The employees servicing us tonight were absolutely horrible. Terrible attitude, zero sense of urgency, and they forgot my fries for all of my meals. I understand working the overnight shift sucks but cmon now.... I manage employees as well so I understand it is hard to find good employees especially for what cost of living is these days. Now we can do way better with holding our employees accountable though. Whoever is keeping inventory by the way, you suck at your job. I can't tell you how many times I have pulled up to whataburger and asked for items and this specific location has run out. Bring a snack while you wait. It legitimately takes longer to get your food at this location than at any restaurant in the area. Food is okay. Not worth the 30 min I gotta sit and wait on a burger. It's on the way home and I always convince myself since there's nobody in line it'll be fast. No it's just pull up and we'll bring it out. Every time I've been here, the service is always friendly and quick. Came in right after leaving the pool with a bunch of kids in tow for an easy dinner. Ordered a bunch of burgers, chicken sandwiches and fries. Everything was fresh, hot and delicious. Service, again was friendly and efficient. Everyone was happy and I was Dad of the Day! I have frequented this What a burger for as many years as it has been open with differing results. Since COVID, WAB has experienced the same issue as every other business..... attracting and keeping workers. The front counter staff has suffered greatly and most visible to customers. Today I arrived at 1100 and before the lunch rush. Nobody was available to take an order. The apparent manager was busy trying to train a new recruit and ignored two customers wanting to place an order. When the counter person finally arrived, it was apparent that he was preoccupied with a drive thru order. Finally, he asked for my order without any enthusiasm. I had to give him the specifics of my order twice. He never thanked me or acknowledged my presence but handed me a cup and turned away. This whataburger is the one closest to where I live, and is the one I frequented the most. It serves a purpose not unlike Waffle House, because it's open 24/7. The staff is reasonably friendly. They have their moments late at night, but that's expected. They have to deal with drunks. I've even done a little experimenting myself by getting drunk and catching a ride here. Late at night, drunks are hard to please overall. I'm a very peaceful partaker, so I wasn't a problem. The car shows they do here are great. They bring out people with good knowledge who are mostly friendly. It really is a nice thing that they put on The food has always been good to me. They make it right every time. It suffers the same fate as most whataburgers, which are slower than McDonald's. You can't expect whataburger quality of food on a McDonald's time frame. Overall, not a bad whataburger to get on the ride to the airport or after a late night of brews. read more

I understand staffing issues but it's been consistently slow and there's a sincere lack of training. And our food is usually wrong and/or cold. At times we have had to argue with a staff member for our food to be corrected. Tonight I had fries that were uncooked and cold. I hate this place. This location is literally around the corner from my house which makes it somewhat difficult to boycott, especially at 4 am. But this Whataburger never surprises me -- because they are so rude...! So much. I just drove thru and got the #25 and hand-to-sky the dude acted as though I awoke him from hibernation. I don't know what fast food is supposed to mean, but I don't think that a 25+ min wait is considered fast. Especially for food that they rarely get right. Me and my wife went to this whataburger after a failed attempt at chilli. We both love whataburger so thought it would be a great last min meal.... wrong. It's always a wait so that's not the issue. We both got double whataburger meals. Not cheap but always good. At the window I said clearly.. if it's not too late could you make the onions on the double meat with bacon sautéed onions. I said if it's already made don't worry about it. First they didn't even acknowledge my other order. Had to make them realize it was for the same car. We finally get home after the 40 min drive ready to eat. Sigh only to find these dumb people actually took everything off both damn burgers and only put creamy sauce, sautéed onions, and 2 patties on bun. For a fast food place, they exceed any typical standards. The food was so good, and you could tell it was fresh. In January I moved to the Mobile Alabama area to begin a new life. For months before I actually moved to Mobile, I had heard of the wonders of a place called "Whataburger" and how good their food is. My first night in town I got the opportunity to try it for myself. As a fast food burger, this was much more awesome than most. I opened with the simple "number 1 Whataburger" with grilled onions on it. Now the combination of grilled onions, beef patty and mustard was a new taste explosion for me.
