Culver's not only has the best burgers in town. They also have a phenomenal staff. Today at 2:30 pm, I planned to meet a client at Culver's for a meeting only to discover they were without electricity so the kitchen was closed. The associate walked over to our cars and apologized for our inconvenience. I was most impressed because most businesses just post a tacky handwritten on the door letting patrons know they all temporarily closed. This young lady went over and beyond by approaching us before we left the vicinity of our cars. I informed her we were hoping to dine-in for a meeting and quick lunch. She then went a step further and invited us in anyway; she also brought over free custard and cups of ice for our bottle water since the drink machines were down too. Unfortunately, I failed to get the associates name but, she rang me up on reg 3. I highly recommend this Culver's location, and I hope they plan to open more locations in Mobile, AL. read more

I tried out Culver's for lunch last week. I've heard a lot of great things about this place, so I thought I'd give it a shot. I walked into the large, spacious establishment and immediately noticed how clean and inviting it was. The menu seemed like it had a lot to offer, but I chose to keep it simple with a bacon butterburger. As soon as I approached the counter, I was greeted by a manager who clearly loved the sound of his own voice, and had a lot of pride in the business. I ordered what I thought was the single burger without pickles, and went with onion rings, because sometimes, you just have to be different. The manager was as almost overbearingly helpful, near to the point of annoyance, as he just kept talking about who knows what, as I'd stopped by attention by now. He finished ringing me up, and the price seemed a little steeper than I would have liked, but I kind of blew it off for the moment as I took my drink cup to go get it filled. I was given a number to put on my table, number 27. I filled my cup with tea/lemonade, and went to the table to wait for my lunch. A few minutes later a guy brought food to my table, and it was food that I didn't order. Turns out there were two 27's, but whatever, things happen. A few minutes after that my actual food arrived and I immediately understood why it was more expensive than I expected it to be, the manager rang me up for a double instead of a single burger. I didn't really feel as if I had the time to go get the order corrected, so I just went with it and ate it anyway. I bit into the burger and the first bite had pickles when I specifically requested no pickles. I guess the manager was so busy listening to himself that he wasn't listening to me. So I pulled the burger apart and removed the pickles. Crisis averted. Now, the quality of the food was outstanding. The burger was very tasty, but those onion rings were borderline some of the best I've ever had! They were fresh, crispy, and hot, with a flavor in the breading that was absolutely a home run! I had no issues with the taste of either the burger or the onion rings, just the lack of communication from the manager, and how I got overcharged for my meal, and had to pick off pickles myself. I'll return here, but I'm going to be a little more vigilant next time, and make sure I'm getting what I order, and not being charged for an extra patty I didn't want. Culver's is a nice burger joint but it's not all that it's hyped cup to be. Great spot to take the kids and feed the whole family. The burgers are good when they are fresh and hot. One thing I dislike is the drive thru situation. I hate that the drive thru is literally wrapped around the building always. Then the can never hear your order at the speaker. Location is in the building that used to be Ruby Tuesdays on airport Boulevard in front of DSW shoes. Currently only the drive-through was open you cannot eat inside but the drive-through moves fast. The butter burger is delicious like a glorified steak 'n Shake Smashburger but do not get the bacon -- it is like microwave wimpy rubbery bacon. They need to cook their bacon crispy on their flat top. I got a concrete small chocolate it was delicious and thick. The fries are crinkle fries nothing special. I finally made it by to try Culver's in Mobile and it was worth the trip. I was trying their flavor of the day which was the raspberry cheesecake. I was driving and asked if I could have it as one of their Mixers instead of with a cone and got that with waffle cone pieces mixed in. It was really good! The person who was working the drive thru was very patient and helpful. I did use the drive thru so I couldn't tell you how the store looked but the outside is nice and clean. It is out of my way but next time I'm going that way I'll stop by again. read more

The burgers are simply great and the ice cream is spectacular. However, the franchise owner continues to struggle hiring good personnel. I wish they could elevate their staff to a level similar to Chil-fil-A (and at some point I trust they will) but even with the poor staff, the food will always bring me back! My wife and I ate very recently at Culvers on Airport Blvd in Mobile. What my wife ordered was not right. She ordered 10 pc shrimp dinner but was served 6 pc instead. We were charged for the 6 pc and not the 10. But the method by which we paid for our orders was questionable. To be plain what we order in a restaurant is what we want and not substituted. We don't think the guy that took our order was listening good and we say it's his error. I called out the 10 and she did too when ordering. Very clear! There was some confusion about the order when brought to our table. She accepted the 6 shrimp but order needs to be correct in the future. i went through the drive through to get a chocolate mixer they did not have the stuff to make a chocolate mixer instead they just gave me a vanilla i told them that was wrong instead of making me the right one they just added in choc syrup. i went back around bc it wasn't right and i bought a new one i asked if i could get the choc malt this time with cheesecake because they said they were out of chocolate for the mixer. Why not tell me that the first time????they said they did have chocolate malt. They gave me another vanilla with chocolate syrup mixed in again. I have heard they are known for there ice cream and shakes. I would love to come back and try this one more time before I leave back to Virginia. Would definitely recommend this place. Group of people were in the restaurant yelling profanities not once but multiple times. Noone from the team ask them to stop or to leave just let it continue to happen. I am a huge fan of Culver's restaurants and take the opportunity to get a burger and onion rings when I am traveling in areas with Culvers. This Culver's is likely the worst one I have ever been to. I waited an extended period to get a to go order and I understand that this happens sometimes at Culver's due to the fresh nature of the food. I ordered a double bacon deluxe, onion rings and a sundae. I was staying at a local hotel and made the mistake of not checking my order when I left. Can't remember when Culver's has ever gotten my order wrong anywhere else. When I got to the hotel and opened up my burger it was a single burger, no bacon and I decided to contact them by phone. The only thing I really wanted was for them to adjust the charges. Because of their backward POS system they were unable to do so without me having coming there in person. They offered to send me a coupon in the mail and told me this would take two weeks. I was left with no choice but to go back to the restaurant and carry my food back to them and get a full refund. I admit I was not happy and was upset but the staff was rude to me over the phone and offered no options to correct this. I know they had the option of post voiding the transaction but did not even offer to do this. Lower star rating because the food is kinda off at this location. Let me start by saying that I'm a HUGE fan of Culver's having grown up eating there in Chicago. With that said, I now live in Biloxi, MS. When a Culver's opened in Navarre Beach, Fl I would make the trip over at least once/twice a month to get my burger and custard. Never any issues and food was spot on. My excitement grew as Foley, AL got a Culver's as my drive was lessened from the before trip to Florida. We would go to Foley at least a few times a month. Great food and service, never an issue. Imagine my absolute excitement when Mobile got a Culver's. This was only a 45 minute drive for me now. I have been a couple times and while the custard, curds and pretzel bites are spot on the burgers seem kinda off. I can't quite put my finger on it, but they aren't like the many locations I've been too in IL, FL or AL. I am giving it time though as it's a new location and it's been swamped. The staff has always been friendly, although my most recent visit yesterday was met with a pretty rude employee while placing an order for a shake, concrete and a cone. Overall, I think this location can be great and carry the Culver's reputation and quality, but it is not 100% there just yet. read more
