A really cool, old school vibe. The wood decoration and the connection to the antique shop is a fun touch. The food isn't terrible. The burgers are solid, and the service is good. There's not much in Camden so this place is one of the better places to grab a bite to eat. But in a more populated area, there's nothing that would make this place stand out. The portion on the plate was a little disappointing as they don't really hook you up with fries. read more

This place was adorable. It had cute decor. The size of the portions was great and the prices were good. The food was bland. I was really surprised because it was a little mom and pop and usually their flavor is on point with southern cooking. I had the chicken fried chicken with fried okra and mashed potatoes and gravy, my friends had the half plate of nachos, and smothered chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy. Everyone really agreed that the food was lacking in seasoning and flavor, usually it is hard to gauge with me because I love spice. The best thing is was the pineapple upside down cake I got for desert. It was sweet and amazing. The to go cups were huge. Overall, great service and portions but they need to be a little heavier with seasonings. read more

This place is very good!! I'll admit my expectations were low (considering i'm from los angeles & this place is in the middle of nowhere to me) and i was very happy to find it was clean and delicious! I ordered the chicken jack sandwich with fries (which i definitely recommend cuz bacon) and it was a generous portion and the chicken was cooked perfectly and not dry! The drinks are also big! The menu has a wide range of mexican..tex-mex? food. I don't really eat that so i cant speak to it except to say i would recommend trying it if you do. My mom had the quesadillas & she said they were very tasty. Everything comes hot. Chris, our waiter, was extremely nice & efficient. The bathrooms are good too, and prices are reasonable. I cant say if i'd come back (since it's a tad bit far from california) but if i found myself here again i would be happy! read more

Atmosphere is wonderful - has the look and vibe of something I'd expect to find in some of the upper middle class eatery/shopping districts of Dallas, Fort Worth, Memphis, etc. ('Whoever designed your interior did a fantastic job. My only concern: you might have overshot your local target market a bit.) The menu offers plenty of delicious options at reasonable prices for the local economy. Service is fast - but not rushed, knowledgeable, very friendly, and attentive. Our waitress was great. If Camden's overall attitude toward making itself into a truly great, prosperous, family-oriented place to live with plenty to do and a good standard of living was as good as What's Cooking's is toward its patron and how it conducts business, Camden would be on its way into the stratosphere. Let's start with walking in. Please Wait to be Seated is what the sign reads but truly what they want you to do. Wait. If there is someone assigned to seat people, who knows because waiters and waitresses just kept walking by as if we weren't there. Then what I believe to be the owner walk over to chat with some older men just looked at us and kept running his mouth asking nonsense questions. After our waiting period is over, there is another long wait period at the table while we sitting. The four of us spent 20 minutes in this restaurant and only made it to a table to receive No Service and you only had about four other customers. Message to owner: get your priorities together. This is not how you run a business. We left because no service will always be bad service. read more

Excellent food and service! Probably the best ranch I've ever had. The atmosphere is wonderful and welcoming.

First trip is my last trip. We didn't stay. 10 Minutes is and 1 server who thought he was too cool rushing by to say I haven't forgotten you. If the place was full or he was the only server - maybe I buy that. But not with 6 severs and a 30% full place. I know it's Camden and options are limited, but that level of unresponsive behavior needs to be rewarded with an Out Of Business Sign. read more

We both had chicken fried steak. It was very good. Came with the usual; a side salad, bread and one side. We had the Fried Onion Strings as an appetizer, they were very undercooked but, the southwest sauce was delicious. read more

Loved this place in downtown Camden. Lots of memorabilia of Grapette soda. I didn't know what it was so I Googled it and learned all about the local history Of this drink! The food was great. I had a club sandwich. They didn't "fancy it up" so it was a really good old fashioned club. My husband had chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes, cream gravy, and fried okra. All were really good - my husband commented on the light breading on his steak. The portions were really large-he couldn't finish it. I cannot say enough about this restaurant. The hamburgers are out of this world. Juicy done to perfection and the toppings are fresh and perfect. After reading the reviews I decided to try this restaurant. I'm from out of town and I use reviews to help me choose where to eat lunch. Since it had a very good rating I thought I would give it a try but after the fourth try I will not return. I will eat most anything but not this anymore. The three burgers I tried were over cooked and dry. The fries were fair. Don't try the potato nachos. Horrible. There was 6 in my group the last time I ate there. My family and I love eating here! The food here is so good especially their fajitas! They taste better than the local Mexican restaurants. We have allot of family get-togethers here and I haven't heard anyone complain about the food yet! A solidly pleasant meal. Good offerings, an interesting mix of items, and pretty darn good salads make this one of the better options in the booming metropolis of Camden. Of course, that by itself isn't saying much; a bit like being the best ice carver in Key Largo. But the food is good despite the easy competition. Not quite on Postmasters level, but then neither is the price point. The only real drawbacks are the hours; they close at 8 pm, except on Sundays and Mondays. Then they're just not open at all. Seriously, what is the deal with Camden and the good restaurants being closed on Mondays? This quirk has now puzzled me for several years. But I digress. read more

Great place to go for lunch or dinner, great friendly service, and a really wide variety of food to choose from. Portions are also great. Best club sandwich in Arkansas, and the fajita baked potato is good too. One thing I'll say for them: usually when you have a massive menu that covers so much ground it's hard to pull off well without some items suffering for it but they do it really well. Good selection of beer and wine too, except they don't carry a cider and that's probably my only complaint but I say that about every restaurant around here lol.
