After payment and while preparing to leave, I was informed the surgery had gone badly, my cat had not been properly monitored, and emergency care would now be required. He was brought out visibly distressed, his lower body covered in blood, without pain medication. Jeff (the main manager) said this was because they don't check on cats after surgery. This was a deeply traumatic and avoidable situation. The lack of transparency and accountability was alarming. Since then, I've heard consistent warnings from others about this clinic claiming their pet went through a very similar situation. I'm sharing this in hopes others seriously consider the risk this clinic poses to the safety of our animals.

When I left Lola, I felt completely reassured that my pup would be treated like one of Gloria's own. Lola was supplied with a dog bed since I forgot to bring hers. She had plenty of toys to play with in her pen and outside in the turf area! When I returned to get Lola she was so happy and hardly wanted to leave Gloria's side! I HIGHLY recommended this faculty for all of your pet boarding needs!

En route to Portland three years ago, I had the chance to spend some time at his former location in Colorado. I left a Facebook review then because I was so impressed with what I saw. Now that I've visited the new location in Mulvane, KS; it warrants another review. Three years ago I visited a highly competent trainer and a really great place. This time I spent time with a masterclass dog trainer at what could only be described as a dog's paradise. We trainers can be pretty particular, but JD is legitimately one of the only people in the world I would leave my own dogs with for a prolonged period. He takes great care of the dogs in his care, they have a great time, and when it's all said and done, you've got yourself a canine companion that understands how to behave properly, which makes life much easier. If you're anywhere near JD, he's your best bet for training! Even if you don't have a dog, you should probably go get one and then hire him. I can't say enough positive things about this operation!

To keep it simple, we were brought a baby that fit right into my hands--only a few days old. We bottle-fed him while he grew and grew. We picked up the basics pretty fast: sit, roll over, and don't eat until we say "go." But ol' buddy just kept getting bigger and bigger. His tail has a personality of its own... and the slobber! I weigh 115 pounds, and he's already up to 135. He's a big ol' Corso. Once he hit a certain point I wasnt comfortable walking him alone outside of my privacy fence. He HAS to be ran out daily and all the fetch and hide and seek wasnt enough. It didnt feel right and the less we got to do each day, the more wrestless he is. Nobody but me could go around him because he wants to jump all over everyone. He drug my 7 yr old around by his hood once... another time he pulled his shirt off by his sleeve. I taught him "between" so he comes and sits and that turned into him going between my 7 year olds legs and picking him up and flipping him off. Walks turned me into a flag. He busted out a window wanting in and the back door. Our new neighbor kids couldnt go outside without hearing him bark nonstop and his bark is scary. I reviewed all the bootcamps around and went into a few for a visual to help. When I went in here I was greeted by pets being picked up by their owner after a day at daycare and being dropped off for an afternoon! I couldnt stop smiling bc there wasnt one dog that didnt look excited about being there! After reviewing and questioning i booked for him to go while I went out of state for almost 2 weeks. I called to check up on him bc like I said its a love hate thing and I know I have no business having this breed, Ive only had Boston terriers and a pug! But it happend and im trying to make it work and I missed him. Hank got on and got me caught up on where they were and asked me questions to help them to keep succeeding. I never ever felt rushed or like I was annoying anyone with questions. And When I got back to my Gigantor, He was a brand new boy! No jumping! Ive only been home 3 days and ive walked morning, as soon as it cools off and then again for a night walk. Ive passed other humans and animals! We also got to go in for a one on one and when we pulled into their parking lot he started squeeling with excitement in the backseat! If I even expected that, I would have recorded it. Then as soon as he seen Hank, (his trainor) he got even more excited and ran to him ready to work! Thats how you know its a good place!!! Not just bc my boy acts like hes been doing this well the entire time but a dog like him does NOT react happily to someone that didnt treat him right. Heck I think Bant would love to live there too. I was so worried my heart was going to be broken because I couldnt do what he NEEDED, to help him be more confident. Keep in mind Ive been going threw some health things during important stages. But I tried and sometimes it just takes that village. So if your in a situation that you need help with like how mine was beyond too much for me, this is the perfect one! I cant stop talking about it. He finally got to meet all the neighbors!! It was so relieving I was about in tears. We now have a furrever pup sitter!

Adopters beware. My wife and I had interest in adopting a rescue. We contacted Beauties and Beasts…read more11th Hour Rescue based on contact I had with some former co-workers who did some work fostering for them in the past. I thought this could be a decent avenue to find a new partner for our outgoing and sweet 14 year old chow mix since our lab had passed away three months prior and she was reacting very friendly to dogs during morning and evening walks. We did their virtual walk through, and gave them our veterinary information so they could ensure we take care of our dog (vaccinations up to date and anything else). After jumping through those hoops we set up a meet with 3 dogs on Saturday so we could see if our girl would be able to get along with one and we could adopt that day. I and my wife drove in separate cars to the office location so we could provide a less stressful transportation environment to the dog we anticipated we would select that day. My wife and I then met a gentleman who did not introduce himself to us and simply opened the door and told us he would bring in a dog to see how they socialized for 5 - 10 mins then take them out so our girl could calm down before the next dog entered to restart the cycle. The first dog seemed pretty sweet and nice and we were already leaning towards that one. Then they brought in the next dog and it had a tragic history where it was significantly abused by the previous owner. We were chatting with the foster about the dog which seemed a little shy and it quickly assumed a stalking pose once near our girl. About that time, the gentleman belatedly informed us "she might have some dog issues" as our dog started to move away from it, and then the rescue dog quickly lunged low and clamped her jaws around our girl's rear right leg. Our dog was yelping in pain quite loudly while the rescue just start shaking it's head, and I had been shocked for the first couple crucial seconds (as were we all I think). The gentleman with the rescue organization ineffectively sprayed water with his water atomizer on the rescue animal's face while I moved to separate the two dogs physically. He then grabbed the rescue animal's collar and yanked her up (with my dog's leg still in her jaws) saying "I got this sir". After another couple seconds the rescue animal finally let go and our dog limped away bleeding from significant puncture and tear wounds in her leg. She was in the early stages of shock as was I, with highly elevated blood pressure. He tried to play down my dog's injuries saying it was "no big deal" and "it happens all the time in animal rescue". Granted, I probably was a little hot under the collar due to the volume of my dog's blood on the floor, but I just said "that dog is psycho and we're going to the vet". I left my dog in my wife's custody while the rescue organization gentleman wrapped the wound with gauze in an attempt to slow/stop the bleeding (not effective BTW had blood all over my car seat). I called the Urgent Care Vet Center in NE Wichita (excellent place BTW) to let them know we would be coming over with an injured dog from a mauling. Went back to the office get my dog so we could get her in my car and to urgent care. The gentleman with the rescue organization then confronted me and said "Sir, I just want you to know that this rescue dog isn't psycho, it's just a dog, and this happens in rescue." I quickly thought back to the whole scenario where the rescue dog acted timidly towards humans, then slowly stalked and then ambushed our dog, and persisting in attacking after our very gentle girl whose only action was to cry in pain and try to escape while the other dog shook it's head viciously. I pointed right at him, "That dog is Psycho." We never spoke again. I'm angry that the rescue animal was not dog screened before seeing us. I am angry that the gentleman persisted in making light of the wounds incurred. I am angry my dog was injured by a very violent animal and continues to have problems resting or walking hours later for absolutely no valid reason. This man was incompetent, and I should have protected my dog better, but I see there are very few reviews of rescue organizations, and I am sure most are filled with great people who do terrific work in helping deserving animals who need help, but I will never deal with these people again, other than getting ALL APPLICABLE VET BILLS paid for in this interaction by them.
