The staff was absolutely wonderful. The doctors were compasionate but honest in everything they did. They explained what was going on, the different options and their recommendations for treatment. Their local staff in patient registration billing was great in working with us and letting us know about what insurance paid, and what the hospital was doing to help get the bills processed with the insurance company. The Oncologist's office, (in the Schiffler Cancer Center}, after all his treatments and he was cleared of cancer, has called once a week to make sure he isn't having any complications or symptoms any more. They took me back into the exam room, took my vitals, and the Dr was checking on my in less than 5 minutes. Took care of my needs and on my way home in about 3 hours. I was at wheeling hosp about 2 years ago and had to wait 8 hours before getting a room for having an infection and being septic. I cant say enough great things about EORH and there staff. I wont go anywhere else for help again. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

I politely said "I live 4 1/2 hours away and the appt. is for my daughter who attends West Liberty University". I then asked if someone could fax the form to me. The receptionist asked for the fax no. I then asked her if Dr. Stacey Brown-Brocklehurst was seeing new patients. She said, "yes, but you have to see the NP first, we are very busy here". The receptionist then proceeded to tell me to get the paperwork in ASAP as "we are very busy here". I was very turned off by the receptionist's attitude and the fact that she was in a hurry, trying to get me off the phone as soon as she could. Needless to say I called another physician's office who was more than happy to speak with me about my daughter and why I wanted her to be seen. The nurses, aids, cleaning, and office staff were wonderful and very attentive and responsive to my needs. The wound care nurses, PT, and OT were very patient with me and excellent with recognizing my pain, all the whole being very encouraging and supportive. My entire experience there was very good and I left feeling ready for the next chapter of healing.

It was suggested she see an eye doctor and then was told to go to urgent care because she what she was experiencing was flu symptoms. Turns out she had a brain tumor after passing out at home. The tumor had gotten so large radiation wasn't an option and the tumor had to be surgically removed. This procedure caused the cancer to spread to her spine fluid and I lost my wife. :( Please learn to listen to your patients. If this team listened and acted appropriately I still believe my wife would be here. :(
