Pretty cool place to check out if you are in the area. In total I went with 4 adults, and spent $88 to walk the museum. No discount for senior citizens. Take your time walking and really check out everything, there's a lot to see here.

My husband loved it. He wishes he could display his auto memorabilia this way. About 50 cars on display in an indoor building. Lots of signs, parts, ads and other auto related items on display.

I knew right from the start that I was going to enjoy this but I wasn't sure what Mrs. K. was going to think. Well, she loved it too! There have been bunches of car and auto museums in my Yelp career https://www.yelp.com/collection/0cY-NQxr4PY3Wntj3uA-xw including the Henry Ford in Dearborn MI https://www.yelp.com/biz/the-henry-ford-dearborn-2?hrid=DVVQoahBsz2-WU2l8L-sSA, Autoworld in Brussels https://www.yelp.com/biz/autoworld-bruxelles?hrid=sUgy6SrvEjWoEF0l45nKFg, the BMW Museum in Munich https://www.yelp.com/biz/bmw-museum-münchen?hrid=fvKbI5aeaoMmz3JbxIT5BA and the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green KY https://www.yelp.com/biz/national-corvette-museum-bowling-green?hrid=xR3fB7_2UjPdJIQTi9jcew. Considering that we're in Myrtle Beach, this one stands up pretty well to any of those. A classic and muscle car museum that includes a 1965 Plymouth Belvedere with a 426 cubic inch engine, a 1963 Chevy Impala 409 SS, a 1957 Nash Metropolitan, a Pepto pink 1970 Dodge Challenge R/T, a 1966 Ford Mustang and about 45 more cars. All are in perfect mint condition and you can get quite close to them. Many have the windows cracked a bit so that you can see the interior condition which is also amazing. This is an amazing collection of automotive artwork and it's worth a visit to Myrtle Beach just for this. Absolutely fabulous to see and experience. If you love classic cars this is the perfect stop for you. Over 50 cars to look at. It was very clean and the man working was friendly.

We had our eyes on this gem in 2019 when we were down in Myrtle Beach for a family reunion. Unfortunately, our plans fell through. However, the stars aligned for us in August of 2021 when we were back down in Myrtle Beach for a vacation. And this place was well worth the wait. I've only ever seen most of these cars in video games like Gran Turismo or Forza Motorsport. To see them up close and in-person was surreal for me. If you're a car aficionado or enthusiast, I think you'll love this place. With so many rare and awesome cars under 1 roof, you'll get goosebumps shortly after walking in. We will definitely be returning here this summer!

At the time of our visit they had 99 cars across a range of era's with special focus on muscle cars. Degree of restorations varied which added to the experience. The walls were covered with memorabilia which was a great touch . Tour is self guided which is perfect, the owner clearly loves Plymouth and Dodge having a number of exceptional vehicles from those makers. Highly recommend if you're a car enthusiast.

I've never been much of a car guy, ever since I went here I've been looking at cars differently. This place is home to an absolutely amazing selection of vehicles, I could spend hours looking at each one and still be amazed by them. And the walls are decorated like a TGIFs, with endless memorabilia and rims. Staff were great too, both extremely welcoming and kind but also holding a great knowledge and love for all the cars, who could ask for more? This is the type of place that could keep you for hours and leave you wanting to come back for more. And to be completely honest, I think it's the best place in the Myrtle Beach area. Wheels of Yesteryear is absolutely worth the trip and money, even if it is a bit away from the established Myrtle Beach area.

Wow! What an amazing trip. As a family of car lovers we thought this would be a nice was to spend an hour or so. We actually had the pleasure of meeting the owner Paul. I could sit and listen to his stories all day. He has an amazing collection that is switched out every January. We will definitely be back the next time we visit Myrtle Beach.

Cool car museum. Lots of cars and memorabilia, mostly 60-70's muscle cars. We spent about 1.5 hours looking at all of it.

    Beautiful cars...trying not to drool!

Outstanding! We spent HOURS here, there was so much to see! My husband was delirious over the 50 original, vintage cars on display, and we danced our way around because the music was our generation. My Dad would have loved this! The cars are gorgeous, beautiful to look at...so many cars...so little time! This is a MUST see attraction!

If you are interested in muscle cars this is the spot for you !! I took my boyfriend here and he absolutely loved it . The man at the register was very friendly and we felt appreciated at his business!! You can complete this tour in under an hour and they have a cool gift shop as well . I would recommend going here if you are looking for a less crowded place and the atmosphere takes you back in time !!

While coming into town I saw Wheels of Yesteryear. I made it a point to come and check this museum out. I am a Mopar fan and this place didnt disappoint me. The store is awesome and full of great merchandise like car models, tin wall decor and t-shirts. If you want more t-shirt options head over to Broadway at the Beach and look for Vintage House located at 1303 Celebrity Circle. All the cars were amazing. It was great to see all the classics that I aonly heard about growing up. Some of the cars have the original paint and obviously dont look like they're off the assembly line. The cara were immaculate inside and out. Again I take into careful consideration that these are 60's and 70's muscle cars. I met Paul and he was a pleasure to speak with. Paul and Fran are awesome. $10 to see some classics is great!!! A must see for any car enthusiast!!

Great collection of cars to go through. I've been to several auto museums and they have cars I have not seen in other collections.

Most of the art is available for purchase and they have a price list at the front desk. Both collections we browsed were exceptional and very good choices. They rotate the artists about every 3 months so if you vacation here once a year you will see new art each visit. They have a gift shop with small items. One of my favorites were "mini-vases", all handmade and cute for about $10 each. Perfect for putting small plants in or adding some handmade decorations to your house. The outside area is stunning. Parking is very limited, probably only 10 spaces. You will drive under some live oaks to park which is very serene. They have a very quiet tea room with a view of the ocean. If I was local I would come here to work for a few hours each week. There is one sculpture on the lawn showcasing ocean plastic litter. Skip those plastic straws and drink out of the cup like a man lol. I would like to see more sculptures or statues on the lawn in the future, make the outdoor area more about art. I definitely recommend stopping here if you enjoy art. I will visit each time I'm in the area.

We had a group of ten, so I reached out to the museum (as on their site it recommends doing so for groups of ten or more). We were able to schedule a group tour and art activity for $5 per person! But we also would have been free to just visit the museum on our own. The museum is housed in a beach house that was actually moved to the current location from further up the coast. It is a beautiful building with a more modern add on that houses the offices and studios. There is a gorgeous sunporch with games and puzzles that you can enjoy while there. The museum always has two digital exhibits. When we were there it was two South Carolina artists with extremely different styles. One was batik and nature scenes that were full of beautiful color. The other was more modern/abstract and used some interesting layering techniques. The museum educator gave us great information about each artist along with information about some of the museum's permanent collections and history of the museum and building. When we were done with our tour, we were able to make our own batik designs which used white wax crayons and watercolor to design whatever we wanted. It was really fun to get creative in this beautiful space! Overall this is a lovely place to visit. The museum is free but they do accept donations. You won't spend a ton of time here, but it is a great place to spend an hour or so, especially on a rainy or cold day.

As well as displays of individual limbs and organs. These are not fake models, they are all human subjects that have died and had their bodies preserved through a process called plastination (polymer injection) and then they are skinned and dissected to display bodily systems. We found it absolutely fascinating. It is one thing to see charts or plastic models, but to know this is the real thing made it so much more. The full bodies were in different poses so you can see the different muscles and skeletal positions needed to achieve them. There were also displays which showed a comparison of healthy vs. diseased organs. If you smoke or drink HEAVILY this may change your habits!
