The store is clean and brightly lit, has a classroom in the back half for classes or for group decorating parties, and a bathroom on site. They can print out edible photo items for cakes as well. There is also a laser printing cutout and cake topper business added this last year to aid those who need specially made cake toppers. The owner Jenn is there most days and has several years of experience decorating cakes. She was even on the Food Network for a cake competition show. She brings her love of decorating and knowledge to the store and helps amateur, pro, and first time bakers and decorators all equally. The store has a bulletin board of local bakers if you need to find someone to make your special cake or cookie and staff can aid in finding the right baker for your needs. The birthday parties or group decorating fun classes are not like the decorating instructional courses you see on TV/technical college which I think some of the reviewers on here expected them to be so those people left disappointed for what they thought they were getting. The birthday parties are fun activity using fondant or a frosting bag to learn basic technique-- you aren't coming out of it a professional decorator. It is a good activity to expose kids to decorating and being creative.

We've been coming here as a family for a while, so trust me when I say the food is ALWAYS amazing--but when they catered my son's high school graduation party?? They did NOT come to play. The food? Soul-healing, plate-licking... They handled everything flawlessly, and the setup matched the restaurant's elegant vibe . It felt upscale, warm, and just... special. Our guests are STILL texting about the food and asking, "Wait... where was that from again?" So yes, it's a hidden gem ... but honestly, they deserve all the shine! Thank you!

We had an 11:15 reservation for two, but the restaurant was pretty empty, so we honestly didn't feel the reservation was necessary. The atmosphere had an older vibe but was clean and pleasant, and parking was easy. The food was a mixed experience. I ordered the chicken and French toast, which came with 4 pieces of French toast and 4 wings. The chicken was nicely seasoned and the wings were a good size, but the French toast was burnt, made with sliced bread, and had an overpowering cinnamon flavor that I couldn't finish. My sister ordered the breakfast special with eggs, bacon and grits. The scrambled eggs were fluffy and cooked perfectly, and the bacon was good. The grits, however, were extremely heavily seasoned. For a basic side of grits, it was simply too much. We also ordered one pancake, and I was surprised to find that the only pancake option is their lemon blueberry ricotta pancake. I don't understand why there isn't a basic pancake batter available. What if you don't like lemon? What if pancakes are the reason you came? Being limited to a lemon-flavored pancake seems like an odd choice for a brunch restaurant. We were also excited about the complimentary champagne, but unfortunately it wasn't cold, and neither was the juice. We weren't offered ice until we asked. Our server was also very difficult to hear, so we missed a lot of what she was saying. She may have been new or nervous, so I don't want to be overly critical, but speaking up and making sure guests know about specials and menu options would improve the experience. Overall, it wasn't one single issue but it was everything together. We genuinely tried to enjoy ourselves, but we were ready to leave and didn't finish our food. I'm glad we tried it, but personally, I wouldn't return. These are just our opinions and our experience, and I know everyone's taste is different.
