Loaded Corn Cakes $14.00 Topped with birria braised brisket, pico de gallo, chipotle aioli, pickled red onions, fire cheeto dust and cilanto. Hank's Texas BBQ in Delaware County is a local favorite for real, slow-smoked Texas-style barbecue, especially their brisket, ribs, and pulled pork. The menu is hearty and Southern-comfort, with awesome appetizers like brisket quesadillas, loaded tots, and fried green tomatoes, making it a go-to spot for classic smokehouse flavor in a casual setting.

My one meat meal went from $15 to $18 which would be all well and good if I was given more than one piece of brisket. The brisket was dry. The best part was the burnt piece at the top of it. And by no means is this a compliment! The macaroni and cheese was a pure disappointment. It was runny and kind of like a box of Kraft Macaroni and cheese. BBQ places are known for their thick and creamy Mac and cheese, but not at Hank's. The 1/2 chicken meal was not great but good. Not moist but not completely overcooked. The atmosphere is loud and you can't hear a conversation if sitting in the dining area. Heather our server was attentive. We have no issues with our service. She wasn't back there over cooking our meal.

Very, very cool high school that dates back to the Underground Railroad AND offers tours!!! Now back to the BBQ. You cannot go wrong here with any of these choices BUT I am partial to the loaded potato, the Texas Twinkies, and ANY and I do mean ANY of the meats, they are all worth a try. The people working here are such wonderful people from this same small community and one small family. They have had so much business they said they have finally had to hire their first employee!!! Yay!!! if you love BBQ, road trips and history give them and the town a visit. It's worth a trip!!!

Spent over $70 on 2 Sliced Brisket, a Brisket Sandwich and Brisket plate, with mac and cheese, a loaded potato, and a sweet tea... except the sweet tea pulled a Houdini and never appeared or maybe it got raptured before pickup because it never arrived. The sliced brisket portions were so small I thought they accidentally packed the sample platter or maybe the rest was still smoking in the back. For $14.95, don't expect "half-pound brisket". The brisket edges actually tasted pretty good, but the middle tasted like roast beef that once saw a picture of a smoker online. The smoked mac and cheese contributed absolutely nothing to society -- no smoke, barely any cheese, just hot disappointment in a cup. Meanwhile, the loaded baked potato showed up ready to save the franchise. When we called about the issues and asked for the food difference or a refund, we were told this is just "how it's supposed to be" and they can't refund food because they "can't resell it." Good news: I don't think anyone was trying to buy it a second time anyway. Really wanted this place to be great, but this carryout experience got cooked harder than the brisket

The building is an old train depot teaming with history with an awesome front courtyard for hanging out. Best of all though is their food. You can get a brisket sandwich for under 10 bones with meat just spilling out. They also have a fried baloney sandwich that I am trying the next time there. I saw others eating it and it looks incredible. Lastly, their beer prices are very good and they have a great selection of liquor as well. This is going to become one of my favs! Oh yea, bartender was super cool with great service.

We tried calling and looking on their website, but we didn't see anything, and I don't think they have a phone. We still had some of their regular bloody marys made by the owner, which were delicious. The owner was very friendly, helpful, and made us feel at home. The fried bologna sandwich was one of the best I've ever eaten. The bologna was very thick, and the bread was on thick, toasted Texas toast. The place was empty, so it was cool to have the entire back area to ourselves. The establishment was very cool and unique. I love the setup. It had a 60s/70s vibe. The inside was very clean. There was a huge pool table, darts, and board games. I also loved the huge moose and buffalo heads on the wall. Third Rail Saloon also has an outdoor area that looks like it would be a lot of fun in the summer. This place is a little pricey, in my opinion. Also, they didn't give us a receipt, and after we came home, we looked at our online debit card receipt and found that we were charged for two shots that we weren't supposed to be charged for. Overall, I think this place is awesome, and I would love to go back and try more menu items.
