We were in the area for another local attraction involving a natural geologic formation and decided…read morewe needed some food afterward. So, what app is better than Yelp for discovering those little country gems? Up pops Uncle Beth's BBQ. So we drive the few miles to get here. We pull up on this corner restaurant in the middle of rural America, and the first thing we see is the dozens of Harley's lined up out front. Already, I'm excited. I don't ride but I love bikes. Right away I feel at home in my flannel, jeans, and combat boots. We notice the line is about 20 people outside the front door to the place...they are PACKED. Now I KNOW I am at the right place. The menu is simple, in that there are a select number of items...but the big thing is, everything is made here. The sauces, the beans, the max and cheese, pulled pork, the rub for the ribs, the BBQ sauces, and the deserts. I looked at my wife and said, "If this place is as good as it smells and appears, we are going to come back again." I ordered the full rack of ribs, broccoli salad, and the slaw. For a side sauce for the ribs I ordered the blackberry bbq sauce. My hands were so messy by the end and I had a continual smile on my face. Suffice to say, we are going to come back again.

Great food and great service! They were very accommodating with our large family . Our favorite…read moreplace for Bar-B-Q and real country sides.

Very, very cool high school that dates back to the Underground Railroad AND offers tours!!! Now back to the BBQ. You cannot go wrong here with any of these choices BUT I am partial to the loaded potato, the Texas Twinkies, and ANY and I do mean ANY of the meats, they are all worth a try. The people working here are such wonderful people from this same small community and one small family. They have had so much business they said they have finally had to hire their first employee!!! Yay!!! if you love BBQ, road trips and history give them and the town a visit. It's worth a trip!!!

Spent over $70 on 2 Sliced Brisket, a Brisket Sandwich and Brisket plate, with mac and cheese, a loaded potato, and a sweet tea... except the sweet tea pulled a Houdini and never appeared or maybe it got raptured before pickup because it never arrived. The sliced brisket portions were so small I thought they accidentally packed the sample platter or maybe the rest was still smoking in the back. For $14.95, don't expect "half-pound brisket". The brisket edges actually tasted pretty good, but the middle tasted like roast beef that once saw a picture of a smoker online. The smoked mac and cheese contributed absolutely nothing to society -- no smoke, barely any cheese, just hot disappointment in a cup. Meanwhile, the loaded baked potato showed up ready to save the franchise. When we called about the issues and asked for the food difference or a refund, we were told this is just "how it's supposed to be" and they can't refund food because they "can't resell it." Good news: I don't think anyone was trying to buy it a second time anyway. Really wanted this place to be great, but this carryout experience got cooked harder than the brisket
