This is in sharp contrast to the other company we hired to fill the pods a week earlier and our departure location. Very disappointed with our experience, especially seeing previous great reviews. We were told that it would be a quick easy move, yet in the end we were charged almost double what had been anticipated (nearly 6 hours instead of 3). It definitely seemed like the clock was being milked. There was a lot of standing around and talking at the unload. Maybe we should've stayed at the house to supervise the load up. Not what I would've expected from a professional company. I contacted the main office after with my concerns and didn't get a response. Would not recommend. It would've been quicker to do it ourselves (as we always have before), and much less expensive even taking two days off. read more

I hired Whidbey Moving & Storage to move my household goods from my storage unit to my new home. The guys showed up on time, they were ALL business and very professional. There were 4 guys and they hustled and handled everything with great care. They made sure fragile items were loaded on top and heavy items were on the bottom. When they got to my new home they hustled getting everything off from the truck and into my house. They were very friendly, worked really well together and were just an awesome group of guys. We booked this company a month in advance. They even came out to provide an estimate. A few days before our move, we called to confirm and were told we "were not on their schedule". They said they didn't save the date because we never called them back. Total B.S. We had already booked it, and they never said a thing about calling them back to make sure we had booked it. I hired Whidbey Moving & Storage for a local move this last weekend. Dwayne handled my booking over the phone and was friendly and accommodating, answering all my questions and emailing me a quote upon request. On moving day, Don and Jake arrived right on time, were friendly and helpful, and worked their butts off! They were very efficient. They never complained and had great attitudes. Don't use this company!!! I have to warn this to lot of people!!! I had a guy came to survey and and estimate was $2200. But the strange thing they never give me confirmation about it. They just tell you how much it will cost by over the phone after the survey. But I mad schedule day with this company. But a week later or so I needed confirmation estimate email and they tell me the my estimate is $2700. After I made reservations to 3 hotels to move to another states and also I already scheduled move in date to new apartment. They ruined all my plan and I can not get the same moving date with another company but I still have to pay for hotels and new apartment that I can not even move in. Their job is so unprofessional!!!!! They ruined everything!!!! Hotel costs over $300 and I can not get any refund!!! It is their fault. And the worst thing everybody should know is they mad at me and hung up the phone. I did not do anything wrong and they never apologize to me and they mad at me and hung up the phone just right now. July 11th 8.50am. They can rip you off because they won't give you the confirmation estimate email. They just tell you the price over the phone so they can change the price anytime. An Old couple who had precious antiques and art work. We were not only treated with great respect but our furniture/art work was moved with great care AND hand carried to secure and wrapped on the truck. When we moved into our apartment again the same care for each piece along with our boxes which were given to us by WMS. Everyone was respectful, helpful and knew their job. The quote was right on and they WALKED THE TALK DOING JUST WHAT THEY SAID THEY WOULD. Price was more than fair and for this amount of care we would have thought the bill far more. ZERO stars is my rating. DO NOT USE this company. We are a military household and from my very first phone call to schedule a delivery, the manager was not very friendly over the phone. When the movers came to deliver my shipment, they seemed professional and courteous right off the bat. However, two of my boxes were completely missing, my sold wood desk was busted, and we watched one of the movers break my bed frame in half moving it off of the truck (when something is stuck, don't keep pulling on it). I was very upset about my broken bed, we splurged on a bedroom set 2 years ago and it is now discontinued. I knew it would be impossible to replace the bed and a new bed would not match the rest of my set. And of course the military is not going to replace my entire bedroom set. Knowing this, I called their manager to complain, see what he could do for me. When I called, I asked to speak to the manager, the man responded with, "go ahead" (rude) I then proceeded to tell him what had just happened and his response was so cold, "so, you will have to file a claim through the military." He did not say, "i'm sorry" or apologize for his crew in the slightest. I asked him if he even cared and he didn't respond. Also, the crew broke their contract, they didn't unpack one single box or put together all of our furniture, or move large items to their correct places. They simply said, "okay, we are leaving" and on their way they went. read more

I rarely make comments online but felt compelled to advise other customers considering using this company. I would not recommend this company at all. The customer service is nonexistent and they are very rude to customers when they call. I'm active military and after my things were delivered they didn't want to unpack the boxes as they're contracted to do. I agreed to unpack them myself as they stated they would be glad to come back and pick them up once I emptied the boxes and broke them down. I broke the boxes down as they asked and called for a pick up. They couldn't pick up right away and told me they'd call. I had to call three times and then was scheduled a time for a pick up. I left work early to get home in time for the pick up and no one showed. I called and the individual that took my call was extremely rude and said they'd shown up midday although my appointment was for later that afternoon. The same guy that made the appointment said they didn't make appointments or call a customer when they were picking up earlier. It was a hateful, bizarre, unprofessional, and very rude phone call. Basically the guy lied and said he'd never made an appointment for my pick up. I ended up arranging to deal with all the boxes myself as the area I moved into doesn't accommodate this large of a box trash load. I've notified the military movers of this experience and requested when it's time for my military move from this area that this company NOT be utilized. Worse experience I've had with a moving company in my 24 years of service. Too bad there isn't a rating less than 1 star because that's what I'd rate them as - zero. read more
