Having the Whirpool Aero Car part of the premium package at Niagara Parks made getting here worth the trip. A bit north of all the falls attractions, plan an extra 20th minutes to take the Wego up to the stop. Suspended high above the Niagara River while criss-crossing international borders all while getting unobstructed views of the river below makes the Aero Cart a must see attraction if you're jn the area. Even if you have a fear of heights, the ride was smooth and the operator did an excellent job of highlighting facts to keep your mind occupied. read more

On the Aero Car, the scenery of the Niagara River was very beautiful. The tree in rock formations made it extremely peaceful and nice. Nevertheless, we probably saw one chip of back state New York and it was a really big adventure. Despite the car with no other side of the cross, it was a great experience. Plus, I finally got my chance to try my first batch of Canada's most iconic dish: Poutine. read more

A fun, albeit short ride. You ride on one side to the halfway point, then everyone rotates to the other side at the halfway point. So you get to see both perspectives and everyone has the opportunity to see everything. The ride is kind of short for the price, and during peak/busy times, the wait probably isn't worth it, just to see the pool for directly above. You are able to go to the sides of the overlook and look for free, so if you're on a budget that is a viable option to save a few bucks. read more

We tried to buy tickets on the spot yesterday, but they sold out when we came around 4pm on a Saturday. We came back today first thing in the morning and were able to see it. It's a short, slow ride that goes across and comes back the same way. The view was pretty, but it's not an attraction that we would redo if we don't have enough time next time. It was designed by famed Spanish engineer, Leonardo Torres Quevedo, and has been soaring the Niagara Gorge since 1916. It offers a ride over the waters of the Niagara River where you can see spectacular views of the swirling Niagara Whirlpool and the river's Class 6 rapids as you soar 3,500 feet across the Niagara Gorge. This is a low key activity that is good for people of all ages. It's a slow moving ride that crosses the Niagara whirlpool. The cables keep it very steady so there's not a lot of movement even though you are suspended 200 ft in the air. I'd recommend buying timed tickets ahead of time online to minimize your wait to board the aero car. The aero car fits 35 people and requires you to stand for the duration of the trip. Since the tickets are good for 1 hour, there's usually a line and short wait to board the aero car. They offer free parking (which is a rarity for Niagara Falls parks) and have bathrooms, a gift shop, and a small stand where you can get food and drinks on site. Was it the most exciting thing we did while in Niagara Falls? No. But it was something that the whole family enjoyed and was the perfect last stop of our vacation before crossing the border to drive home. read more

This attraction is very strict with times. We were scheduled at 11:30 and arrived very early. The ticket taker told us to wait in the sitting area with the food stand. We went back at 11:15, and he refused our ticket again. He told us to come back at 11:25. We came back at 11:25, and we were now the last in line. We had to wait in line about 45 min. The waiting area is not covered, and it was hot. If we wouldn't have been mislead by the ticket person, I may have had a very different experience. The car trip is very short, and only took about 10 min once we were on. For some reason, people really struggled with understanding how to rotate around the car at the mid point. The good news is that it's not scary at all. It doesn't sway. The car is like standing on a stable platform. Walk by and you can get the photos I took. Just don't ride and then say you did. read more

Old school aero car on wires that overlooks a whirlpool that occurs due to bending of the river around cliffs. Service was fine - nothing crazy. The line up and ride was not too long for us but could see it getting busy peak season. It's a nice fun, slow trip if you enjoy heights and watching the water swirl around. We visited in the fall so between the foliage and the gorgeous whirlpool, I was able to capture some incredible photos and videos. My only complaint is that the experience is incredibly short! This is my first time visiting this location during peak summer vacation days. The line was very long and is unshaded until you get into the final area with the stairs. Overall, the weight is bearable however when it's hot, you'll end up sweating a lot. The ride itself is enjoyable where you get breathtaking views of the whirlpools beneath. It was a neat thing to do once in a lifetime. I do recommend getting the Niagara Parks pass as it saves time. During peak season you will need to make a reservation, you can't just show up. It does require going up and down steep stairs. The ride is about ten minutes across the whirlpools and you do get to switch sides. My only gripe wasn't really with the establishment itself but obnoxious people who refused to move when it was time and held up selfie sticks blocking the view of all. Cool ride. This is a quick ride across a gorge. This was also part of our package so off we went. The car fits about 30 people and you get to go to the end and back. But when you get to the other side they make you switch side so you can see both sides which I thought was pretty cool. This gives you a great bird's-eye view of the whirlpool water and it's so beautiful. You could even see people on the other side of the mountain hiking. And while we were up there the jet boat came by. We went early May so on the way back it was really cold and windy but it's only like a 5-minute ride so it wasn't so bad. I would definitely do this again. We took the bus here but they do have a parking lot and it's free to park. They also have a really cute gift store and bathrooms. read more

If you have a fear of falling to your death and drowning than this may not be the ride for you. It literally takes you 100+ feet over the category six rapids. Honestly it's really not too bad, the ride moves slowly and smoothly and you spend most of the time worrying about dropping your phone while shooting photos and videos. If you have a lanyard or one of those finger hole thingies attached to your phone, I recommend using it for this ride so you don't drop it into the abyss. Departing, if you're on the right side of the ride you get the best view of the rapids. The left side gets a view of the Whirlpool which is kind of cool but not as exciting. But don't worry if you're on the left side once you get across the rapids, the operator has everyone rotate to the other side of the ride so you can see the alternate view on the way back, very cool. We bought the adventure pass on this trip which seems to be the best deal because you can go to several other activities and utilize the WEGO bus as much as you want for three days. The ride takes about 15 minutes and only one tour is performed at a time so I can see how this ride get backed up in the busier summer months. Today we lucked out because we were able to jump on a few minutes after we arrived; however, the downfall was it was about 52 degrees today and windy, so we pretty much froze the entire time. All in all, it was a great experience and I would definitely do it again. read more

The whirlpool Aerocar was such a great idea, it Really is on a must do list if you're visiting Niagara Falls. Some of us were actually afraid of heights, myself included but we sucked it us and pushed forward to have this wonderful experience. And I'm glad we did! So what happens is when you enter the cable car it goes from one end of the whirlpool to the other then they let everyone move forward in a circle until you're standing on the other side, then they come back around so you get to see a new view coming back! That way you don't miss out on anything no matter which side you originally were standing on. The pictures and the views and peacefulness of this experience was a nice contrast to some of the more wet and wild falls attractions we did earlier, so it was a really nice and unforgettable addition to our itinerary. read more

Upon reading other reviews, I have to say that I agree with the other reviewers and that the price is pretty steep for a ride that is only 10 minutes. People in my group, AKA my family members, thought that it was quite expensive because of how short the ride was, which I totally see the side of, but I liked how we were able to go at a slow pace and I felt safe while doing it with my children. There is a tour guide on there that tells you about the ride and the different things about the water, which I really enjoyed. I really wish less people who are talking around me so I can hear the tour guide more clearly, I enjoyed listening to the informational part of it. It's fun going across and coming back, it gives you enough of a thrill without feeling scary. Maybe I would feel a little different if I was going with an adventure pass or something, but I did not buy a pass and bought each thing that I wanted to do separately, so maybe it would be more worth It to have got an adventure pass. Absolutely breathtaking! The Aero Car was hands down my favorite part of my whole trip to Canada! The ride glides right over the Niagara River, and the views are absolutely stunning I couldn't stop taking pictures. You get this amazing perspective of the swirling rapids and the surrounding landscape that you just can't see any other way. The ride felt safe, smooth, and surprisingly peaceful despite being over rushing water. The staff was friendly and helpful, and everything ran right on time. Saw this attraction from the American side of the Niagara Gorge and I finally got to ride it this month . Affordable attraction ($17 Canadian funds) for about a 15 -20 minute ride there and back . Tour guide was funny and knowledgeable . A bit misty and cool the day I went , but liked seeing the rapids with the fall foliage in the background . I just wish it lasted a bit longer! That and we were at the end of our side of the car and had no wiggle room at all. I was literally between John and some poor stranger- against both of them, smooshed. Funny thing, once you cross over the whirlpools, you switch sides, and wow- we could stand without touching! AKA- the people at the front of the car were hogging all the room. The second half of the ride was much more comfortable. This is a very cool perspective of the Niagra River, seeing the whirlpools. I will say- you can stand on the observation deck (for free) and see them, but I would still go on the areocar just for the experience. This round trip takes less than 15 minutes from boarding to exiting. I think we were back in the car in under 30 minutes and that was including extra photos on the deck and exploring their store. I had the adventure pass and had a scheduled time that was a bit too late for my party given our pace. This is one of the stops where they are very strict that you come in your scheduled time but I was able to get an earlier time at the ticket booth. The venue had a lot of viewing decks of the falls which was nice. Once our time group was called we stood in the sun for a while until we were shuffled into a covered area. The view is stunning. The ride is underwhelming. The length of the ride is too short. The car moves quickly to the other side of the gorge and immediately turns around for the return trip. When the ride ended, the lovely and gracious Mrs. Yelper said, "That's it?" I shrugged. The company rep on the ride was not informative. She offered very little information about the gorge, the water, the whirlpool. Instead she spent too much time distracting us (well, distracting me) with a pointless discussion about her training in a rescue car that can be deployed under the cable car. Halfway through the ride she made us change sides of the car while it was in motion, and kept saying "move, move, move," when some of the non-English speaking folks did not understand her instructions and did not move move move. Besides being a tad awkward, she wasted our viewing time on a ride that was already too short. I used to live near Niagara and just finished reading a book about Niagara daredevils, so I was able to offer Mrs. Yelper some info about the gorge and the history. This place is a fun place to hang out. It's safe to cross the river using their service. They re really nice, and they offered to take pictures for us while we re on the whirlpool aerocar. The guide was funny. At the middle of the ride, we got a chance to switch view between left and right so we all can have a chance to look and get more pictures. So you've made it to Niagara Falls, if this is your first visit you can finally mark it off your bucket list. So now that you're here relax and have some fun, yes the Whirlpool Aerocar is a fairly short attraction but come on it's a must do. I promise you'll always regret not doing it if you pass on this one. I look at Niagara Falls like it's a giant amusement park and we all know there's going to be some things we just would never do so a little spontaneity may be required. My advice is to get here before 9:00 AM (gates open at 9) the line is usually shorter and maybe you'll get on the first crossing of the day and have more time to stand in line at other attractions that you feel is a better value (good luck with that). I've been to the Niagara Falls Region many times and I've taken the Aerocar across the whirlpool several times it sorta of always looks the same but still fun... read more

Rode the WeGo bus from our room at the Sheraton. spectacular views of the Niagara Whirlpool & the river's Class 6 rapids as we soared 3,500' across Niagara Gorge. We traveled between 2 points on the Canadian shore, on the antique cable car, actually across the CA & US border 4x's due to the way the river elbows. The immense volume of water rushing over the Horseshoe Falls crushes into the narrow Niagara Gorge, creating the whirlpool rapids. The Niagara Whirlpool is formed at the end of the rapids where the gorge abruptly turns counterclockwise. This has been popular since the late 1800s & this Aerocar opened in 1916. In the winter of 2023, the Whirlpool Aero Car was removed from its tracks & sent to Saint-Jérôme, Québec, to undergo refurbishments. The lower section of the Aero Car was restored w new mechanical parts. Apparently when we bought the Falls Pass we were booked for 3:00We put our feet up w a cup of coffee & unknowingly, arrived at 5:30 - luckily it's a Tuesday & they weren't too busy & let us in!
