If there is such thing as a perfect hangout venue for a group of friends, Whirlyball comes very close to fit that description. It has beer, pizza, bumper car, basketball, lacrosse, and arcade games all wrapped up in a single establishment that offers immense fun for reasonable per-person cost. It is always a blast to have a game of whirlyball with your friends, drink beer in between the games, and get back into your bumper car and play the lacrosse/basketball. It is strangely addicting and just fun. And the beer prices are reasonable as well. Booking the court requires a phone call but staff are very friendly and they really work with you to get the right amount of court and time for your group and event. On the day of the event, you get assigned a referee who runs all the games and they are engaging, funny, and just great.

WhirlyBall in Edmonds is such a blast! I first came here back in 1994, and it's been a favorite ever since. Over the years, we've brought many different groups, and every time it's just as fun as the first. It's the perfect spot for team building, group events, or just a fun outing. Young adults and teens especially love it! there's nothing quite like the mix of bumper cars, basketball, and lacrosse all rolled into one crazy game. The atmosphere is upbeat, the staff is friendly, and the memories we've made here are priceless. Highly recommend if you're looking for something unique and unforgettable! we had fun!

I was skeptical. I said I wouldn't like it and..... I had a an absolutely wonderful time. We laughed so hard some of us nearly peed our pants. The employees were all very helpful, encouraging and all around chill, while also regulating on my friend's whirlyball madness/excitement. Ethan was a great referee and even started cracking jokes with us which we very much appreciated as we are a catty and goofy bunch of people. Will was also very helpful and kind to all of us. Would totally do this again. Great for a large group of people ( 10 people are needed to play).

It took me a few weeks to review and I apologize! What a great game! Never have I imagined to mix bump cars with lacrosse. For a first timer I think I did alright, big part of it was Thomas' very fine job of teaching and refereeing for my work crew. Huge shout out to him! Didn't get to try the food too much as I was too focused on the game, as I can get pretty competitive! I may be sore the next day but I'll do it all over again!

So much fun. Bumper cars and games. It is funny and such a good time. You can get food but we just had drinks. You will laugh so hard!

Went here for a birthday party and it is AMAZING!! So much fun. Referee Bryan was phenomenal and incredibly engaging. You can tell he loves his job. He ensured everyone had fun while remaining safe. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun birthday event, business event, or family time. I'm from San Diego and would love to open one there. It would be a hit! I'm definitely surprised there are not more around because it was an absolute blast!

This was the most fun work event we had. It was easy to pick up and we were very competitive. Thomas made it really fun as our announcer and reffing our games. The while process of booking for the group was really easy. We'll have to do another event here and get pizza next time

This is both the funnest and funniest game around. It's as much fun to play as it is to watch. Great times were had by all. Cyrus, referee and trainer/tutorial guide, was knowledgeable and prioritized our safety. If you aren't on the court playing you can wait for your turn by enjoying a beverage and socializing with others. I highly recommend for team building or celebrations. We will definitely be back!

Such a unique concept and good ol' retro fun!! It's a mix of bumper cars, lacrosse, and basketball! The bumper cars take a minute to get to steer but the difficulty makes it that much more delightfully goofy! Had a team event here. They have a commentator up top who watches and commentates on the entire game. What shocked me was the pizza - surprisingly super good, and obviously made fresh! (even the dough!). Staff was fun, energetic, and accommodating! The facility also has drinks, arcade games, and a VR game section.

We were in Seattle visiting for a couple days and with a group of 10 people and came across Whirlyball when we were doing our research. We booked two hours and added on a cake package since we were celebrating two birthdays. Oh man... I can't even tell you how much fun we had!! The amount of laughing, yelling, fighting, and trash talking was hysterical. The staff was great and made sure we all had a good time. Everyone kept talking about Whirlyball for the rest of the weekend and how we wish we had a place like this in NYC.

Another parent mentioned it during an Easter egg hunt, and I figured we'd check it out so my kids could compare before deciding where to have their birthday party. We came in this morning, filled out the waiver, and the staff walked us through the pricing and membership options. Then, out of nowhere, they told us not to worry about paying for today (thanks Claire) --just grab the grip socks. That honestly caught me off guard. You don't really see that kind of approach much anymore. It felt like they were confident enough in what they offer to just let the experience speak for itself. My kids had a great time and ended up choosing this as their birthday spot. So while they let us try it out for free today, they probably just locked in a party that'll cost me over $1k. Customer service was great all around. Only small downside--it was a little cold inside.

Very much mixed reviews here…read more Positive: First of all, the place is wildly and almost endlessly entertaining for children of all ages. There are times when my kids drag me here 4-5 times a week, and that's still not enough! The space is clean: very clean, and the staff does a fantastic job of maintaining the cleanliness throughout the day. As for said staff, although young (high school age mostly), they are all incredibly helpful and friendly. The price is unbeatable; it almost seems unfair to the franchisee. It can get pricey if you pay the daily rates, but you can't go wrong with a membership. Just two trips a month and you're ahead. That being said, we do always end up spending at least $50 every time between new socks (you can buy and reuse, however we forget to bring them 9, times out of 10). Then food, ice cream, arcade. But even with those, it's still a bargain. Neutral: The food is, sub-par. It's very limited (chicken tenders, nachos, pizza, pretzels, fries) and everything always tastes.....off. we've had everything multiple times, and it's consistent, so it wasn't a one off. Kind of tastes like they bake their fried foods. Which given the inexperience of the staff, understand. The food is fine for kids, but anyone with a palate over 17 should temper their expectations. There are signs everywhere saying no outside food or drinks, but we seem to be the only ones that respects it. Do with that information what you will. Challenges/opportunities: While the staff is super friendly and helpful, they don't seem to enforce any of the rules. Older kids are running over little kids everywhere, other parents set up shop like they own the place, a whole family even took over the balcony to set up their own private birthday party because they didn't want to pay the birthday party costs, which made it so I couldn't go up and watch my kids from there. I've seen fast food bags from every chain in western Washington in the building. My favorite is when people bring a cooler full of Tupperware filled with food from home. Then there's the other "guests": we spent a good 4 hours there the other day, and I don't think I heard English spoken by a single person, which is fine, but again, do with that information what you will. It's challenging sometimes, though, for my children and any of my children's friends we bring to play here to understand the play style of kids who might be brought up with a different set of values. While understanding and respecting other traditions of cultures is valuable, when they're there, I just want them to play and be kids. Then there's the chairs. Those f****ng massage chairs. They have 4 massage chairs you can pay to use, but other parents are constantly using them as lounge chairs while their kids play, which would be fine if they didn't let out the loudest, most obnoxious, smoke alarm- rivaling beep if you sit in them without paying for it. Not a day has gone by without some absolutely clueless guardian sitting there, either oblivious or ignorant to the fact that they're making everyone else borderline homicidal with that beeping. That beep can be heard from every corner of the building, and it's bad. Really, really bad. Maybe if the employees were empowered, or motivated to ask people not to sit in them without paying? Or better yet, they could put up a gentle sign asking people not to sit in them without using them for their intended use? Although we've already addressed how well the other signs work. Better yet, they put up a sign, as well as ammending all the other signs, translating them into multiple languages, starting with Spanish and Amharic.....

Everything felt well run and thoughtfully managed. One thing that really impressed me as a parent was the staff member monitoring the entrance and exit. He was incredibly attentive. He recognized us, noticed our child, and was clearly keeping track of who was coming and going. Of course, you should always watch your own kids, but having someone that alert adds a huge layer of peace of mind. We used a Groupon, and if you have ever used one, you know it can sometimes be a hassle, but not here. The process was seamless. A staff member radioed ahead for us, and by the time we got to the snack counter, they already knew what to do. No waiting, no confusion. We were set up immediately and on our way. That level of coordination was impressive. Every game we tried was working perfectly, including VR games, which is rare in most arcades. Even smaller details, like all the basketballs being available at the Papa Shot machines, did not go unnoticed. The kids' drop ride was a huge hit with my daughter, and the claw machines, which guarantee a prize, were a fun bonus, especially as a way to end the visit on a high note. The prize center was also well balanced, with reasonable ticket costs and fun options. They had some great games too, like rhythm games and classics, that made it enjoyable for both kids and adults. The real surprise was the food. We ordered pizza expecting typical arcade food, but it exceeded expectations by a mile. It was soft, fresh, and genuinely delicious, easily better than what you would find at places like Chuck E. Cheese. The entire dining area was spotless, which is almost unheard of in venues like this. Tables were clean. Floors were clean. Everything felt cared for. The service continued to impress throughout. Our food came out quickly, and when we finished, the staff handled all the cleanup. We actually went out of our way to find cash just to leave a tip because the service deserved it. We originally came for the full experience, including batting cages, laser tag, go karts, and mini golf, but honestly, even before doing any of that, I can confidently say this place is incredibly well run. Based on everything we experienced, I have no doubt the rest will be just as great. It was rainy and we stay indoors so I can't really comment on the outdoor components. Overall, I'd come back but it's not my "go-to" for indoor gaming/food activity.
