Not easy to find but the owner was very helpful. Prices are higher than the big stores but in a pinch, it served it's purpose!

YOU CAN'T GO WRONG AT SPEC'S…read more Spec's is one of my most preferred liquor stores in the surrounding Houston area for several reasons! They're always stocked with my favorites, customer service is great, and their locations are plentiful! I can always count on this establishment to have my favorite brands in stock such as Crown Royal, Hennessy, Tito's, Patron, Grand Marnier, and more. However, they never have the rum that I fancy so much, Barbancourt Haiti Rhum. I always have to get it from Total Wines and more. Nevertheless, Spec's always come through for me keeping the shelves stocked with my most purchased items. I can never go wrong when I visit them. I also like the fact that they always have those tiny travel size Amsterdam Vodkas in stock. I love to buy them and give them away to friends and family as gifts and souvenir items. For some reason, it's difficult to find them at other liquor stores, but you better believe that Spec's will have them in stock in all the available flavors, which includes watermelon, pineapple, and peach. Furthermore, customer service is good! This was my first time visiting this particular location and I was impressed with its size, because most of the Spec's that I've visited in the past are really small, but this one was big. It was sort of intimidating, but the workers were friendly, welcoming, and inviting. There's always someone willing to assist you in finding an item if you appear to be having a difficult time finding what you're searching for. This is my experience at every Spec's that I've visited and I have been to quite a few. There's one even bigger than this location that I was extremely amazed by. It's been quite a while since I've shopped there, and it's super huge! I believe it's located on FM 1960 near Eldridge, if I'm not mistaken. Once I get the chance, I'm going to pay them another visit in the future. There's also another big Spec's located on Highway 6 and Huffmeister. Moreover, you can always find a Spec's nearby because they are plentiful location wise. I don't mind shopping at small business liquor stores but I prefer Spec's and never have trouble finding a location close by wherever I may be in the surrounding Houston area. Overall, Spec's is a big corporate name in the liquor industry that service the Texas area where you can find most of your preferred liquor brands and more! I've never had a problem with customer service at any of the locations. Someone always greets me upon entering the building and I'm always offered some assistance in finding what I'm looking for. However, there's one slight issue that I have with this company and it's the extra charge that is applied to one's bill when using a credit card. If it wasn't for that, I would give this company five stars. I highly recommend this location for anyone who resides in the Cypress area or visiting the area. You can't go wrong here. There's also plenty of parking but the lot can get pretty busy, so please be careful while walking in this parking lot.

First time visit to this small and excellent restaurant…read more Located at the corner of Fry Road and Mound Road it has a restaurant seating area of about 50 and a large bar area for 20 more. The menu is short but includes most of the classics. I had the Seafood Tacos and my wife had the Chicken Mole Enchilada. The tacos were surrounded by a flour tortilla (corn is also available) with fish that can be grilled or steamed. Packed with flavor from the onions, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and more I enjoyed every last bite. The plate included rice, beans, and sliced red onion. Delicious My wife loved her selection as well. The serving was big enough to take home what was not consumed allowing her an extra day to enjoy the mole. We also ordered a side of guacamole which was served as a huge rounded scoop on a plank. Don't get me started on the chips we used to eat every last bit of the guacamole. When we told our waiter, Jose, how much we liked the chips he gave us a bag to take home! I had some today and they were still crunchy with a hint of salt. Now to drinks: my wife had the house Pinot Grigio and I the house margarita which I ordered frozen with no salt. The margarita had a clear lime note but did not suffer from it. All in all we agreed that Carmelita's deserves a return visit next time Mexican food is our choice.

I use Yelp to find and support local…read morebusinesses, and this local business has been one I've supported since I moved to the Fairfield area. My first few trips were great, but my last few, not so much. For the first few trips, I received the customer service typical for a small, local shop. I was greeted, helped, we made small talk, and I was in and out. The last few times varied based on who happened to be on shift at the time. I'm always greeted and asked if I need help, but during those less than stellar visits, the sales person was distracted, taking a personal call via their earpiece instead of answering questions and addressing concerns. As always, I wish them the best, but I will likely be finding another small local spot to support my "girls day at my house" liquor needs.

Have been going there for 2 years. I spend about $250 every 3 weeks…read more The older gentlemen that works there is the most unpleasant guy ever. My best interactions with him consist of me not disturbing him and then him telling me how much I owe. All of the other people that work there are great but too often it is Mr. Grumpy. My latest interaction with him was today when I walked in with a broken arm and asked him if he had a case of McCormicks. I usually get it myself but because of my situation, I needed help. His response was a grumpy "I have no idea". This is pretty standard for him if you ask him any questions. Even the people that work there refer to him as the grumpy old man. I asked him if he could help me get it to my car which was parked right in front, backed in with the trunk open. It would take him less then 15 seconds to step out and drop it in. His response was "I have customers so you need to wait". He had one person in there when I showed up who was still perusing and another who walked in when I asked the question. I do not know if he is part owner, but if not, you need to get rid of this guy or at least give him some customer service training. I will be shopping at The Liquor Shoppe across the street. The people there are always nice.
