Stacy was the amazing woman who taught the Vive La France class we went to! Myself, fiance, and sister had never done any of the classes/tastings at totalwine but finally went after hearing how a few of our other family members had done 2 other ones (spirits and whiskey) and loved them. Class was 1 & 1/2 hours. First off, highly appreciate how much food/snacks were offered. Water bottle was also given and she mentioned there was extra if we wanted more. WetWipes were on ends of table. Solo cups given to dump extra wine into. Two wine glasses for each person so you can have one for whites and one for reds. And of course the pamphlet with info on the regions of France and with blank space to rate each wine and make notes, as well as 2 blank pages after that to write any additional info. We got to try 8 wines. Even though I wasn't a fan of 3 or 4 of them I loved all the info she gave us and answered all out questions. This location is not my closest totalwine (we went here because other family invited us), so unfortunately we probably can't do another class with Stacy. But I highly suggest that if you can please do so! Can only hope the classes at our more local totalwine are just as enjoyable. Well worth the $20! I went to the Total Wine & More to get some Vodka for making home made extracts, specifically Apricot, Ginger, & Date Extracts. While there, I met two wonderful Scots Ladies from Glengoyne Distilleries. They were wonderful. We spoke of Scotland, where my bestie is from, and talked of many things and I tasted the White Oak Single Malt. The whisky was nice and dry, something I would like to make extracts from, and will on my next purchasing. The service on the floor is great. After I left the Glengoyne ladies, I went to the Vodka aisle and grabbed what I need. As usual, all of the aisles are nice and tidy, well light, well organized, and easy for items to be found. My only complaint, and why I didn't give a 5 star is because the cashiers are professional, but not friendly. I don't know how to explained it but removed, doing their job, not rude, but also not friendly. I would love to see a little more cheer from them. Several of the things I like about this establishment is that they always have reps from different brands available for tasting and those reps are always friendly and knowledgeable. On may 9th 2026 I was waiting in line behind this young couple and when cashier asked for the young man's id he gave it to her and said this right here is my wife , the cashier then proceeded to ask where the ring was at , the gentleman explained how they had forgotten it and was willing to show picture proof , the cashier then calls front end manager who's name was Catelyn (chubby Caucasian female with white shirt who I always see at the front) and without even asking for the females Id she starts being loud and aggressive towards the young couple who are customers explaining how she is refusing the sell because the wife doesn't have her ring , the gentleman then tells catelyn "you don't have to be loud and rude" immediately catelyn got triggered and told them to leave the store . Totally unacceptable from total wines part as she continued to talk about the young couple after they left making jokes and laughing about them . With everyone else she didn't have somewhat of an attitude but seems like every guest she has to do an ID check with that looks young she tends to have an aggressive attitude towards them . She clearly needs to find a new job and not work with people because clearly working with people and managing others is not her specialty. Really hope the young couple who was able to provide ID and clearly over the age of 21 was able to get justice for this , and from my knowing and experience of working at a liquor store you never question someone if they say they are married , totally unacceptable from the cashiers part as well ( African lady with accent and glasses who is always at the front) if there was a way to place 0 stars in this place I would , never coming back after I seen how they treat people and how they clearly discriminate . read more

Not to be confused with Lil Wine, which is owned by Lil Wayne. What people don't realize about Total Wine is that they have every kind of alcohol you can imagine, it's far from being just wine. They have some good prices and a great selection. Definitely one of the most impressive liquor stores in town. It's massive and I can see why people love it. I don't think it's the friendliest place in the world, but I don't think you go here to make new friends. If you do then you probably shouldn't come here. On the other hand if you have friends you want to get drunk with, this is your place. I showed up and walked in with no concerns, walked around and looked for salted caramel crown when j asked a very nice and intelligent guy explained to me its not in production anymore and pointed me towards the closest thing to it and spoke with me about different things. He had a phenomenal attitude and i admire that. However, i lost my wallet on a job site in a trench and have not received its replacement yet, i walked up to the counter to pay and my wife and i was practically yelled at by the cashier because my ID wasnt out. I calmly and politely stated that i lost it at work and dont have the replacement yet and she called over the manager and i tried explaining and before i could finish i was cut off and very very rudely told i have to have an ID to make a purchase and even if i walked out and removed myself my wife who had her ID couldnt purchase anything for 24 hours. I look nothing shy of 25. My brother (making a separate purchase) walked up and asked what was wrong and i said "i dont have my ID so i cant buy anything and you wont be able to either" and she, in the nastiest rudest tone possible, goes "well i was going to let him get what he had but now that you said that, no you cant get anything either". I dont think ive ever been disrespected as bad as i was at this store, and to be rude to my brother who did nothing wrong and was punished, that was completely uncalled for. There should never be a time that you have to be that rude over someone not having an ID that was lost at work. I'm already stressed about it as it is. I will do everything to make sure this lady is in some way, shape or form reaps repercussions. read more

I understand policies and preventing underage purchases. I fully support that. But when someone (24 yo) walks up the counter and remember his replacement ID hasn't arrived yet from his wallet being stolen, the cashier refused to sell to the person that was with them. Then, a third person walks up to buy his own merchandise and when the manager realizes he knew the other two she refused to sell to, she then refused to sell to him. I don't know what kind of operation or management you have here but that is extreme. I was treated the exact same way about 6 years ago because my then underage son was with me. I was almost 50 years old at the time and I was making the purchase for myself. Very disrespectful with the situation and the attitude that accompanied it. I had my ID, I'm 22 and my boyfriend, almost 24, lost his wallet and doesn't have his ID but offered to show a picture, she came up and was so rude to him and told us I couldn't buy what I had because he didn't have his physical copy, which I understand is the law but then his brother came up behind us, separate purchase also had his ID, unknowing of what was going on, so I turned around and said we can't get this because he doesn't have his ID, to which she replied, with the most attitude I've heard a grown woman have and said "now he can't either, if you wouldn't have said anything to him he would've let him get his stuff but now NONE of you can get anything". They run specials on different products, they also have a loyalty rewards program. If you're living near one they offer delivery and who doesn't like that ! I've been going to Total Wine since they have first opened. I first started at the Willowbrook location and was Totally happy when they opened this Copperfield location. And you know why? Oh not because your an alcoholic, but because with so many, many, many options to choose from, you simply want to broaden your palette to try more. If you are one of those people who have not visited total wine before because you may think they only sell wine and you're not a wine drinker, let me inform you that they have literally everything under the alcohol category that your heart could desire. And to top that, they have it much cheaper than all other competitors. Let me end this simply by saying that when it comes to spirits, there is no better option than Total Wine. I like that the store Carries a decent selection of beer from Germany and the Czech Republic. That's what led me there. I like that they sell cheese, chocolates and cigars. It's a nice airy store. I think they have a great selection at this store. My issue is if I ask 3 different employees "what is a good Rum" I get the same answer. What ever they are taste testing and pushing for customers to buy is the "best." It's dishonest. So they point out what ever they are pushing that day and WALK AWAY and I don't get a straight answer or learn anything. It's a sales pitch. I was once sold a bottle of whiskey that I was told was excellent and it was super cheap only because they were changing the bottle. It was disgusting and undrinkable. I threw it away. Mind you I only paid 15 dollars but I feel I was grossly misled. In the end I don't trust their sales tactics and anything they point out I run from. Never heard of any of them as well. I've always had good experiences at this location. We typically go on Saturday and they always have several sampling stations. This weekend we bought both items that we sampled. Ginga9 sour cherry was very very different but good. They give you free Belgium Chocolate Cups with the purchase. We ended up making frozen margaritas with the Ginga9. This place is really giving the Houston long time established King of the liquor stores.... By having a wider selection, At least for me I have had several items that the other guys do not carry and will not order yet they are regularly stock here. And their prices are really good on the libations that I buy on a regular basis. With winter coming on I went in for my medicinal ingredients for my hot toddies that I used to keep the sore throats and colds away with. The gentleman that helped me was very helpful and personable. He added that not many people came in to get the product that I was looking for and he wasn't sure if they had it because they didn't stock it in great quantity. Well he had enough there for me and I grabbed me a few bottles and he said you know if you like that you know I've got a couple other things you might be interested in.... And as we walked around the store he told me about each of the products and what he used it for and how he thought it would best be used in other scenarios I ended up with a bottle of each of them to try. His knowledge and personality was a great combination and encouraged me to purchase items I didn't even know existed. In a period in our country when customer service is hard to find it was a breath of fresh air to find it here at Total Wine. Highly recommend this establishment to get your hard to find libations and adult beverages. Give them a try I don't think you can miss. read more

This place is one stop shop and honestly I spent well over an hour here because it's just so much!!! Plus I was hosting a party and trying to figure out what would be general crowd pleasers. The damage wasn't too bad, I walked out with 6 bottles of wine (they get you on that discount lol) and big bottles of rum and vodka for $100. Idk why anyone would try to steal out of that store with cameras literally everywhere up and down each aisle but I had the unlucky experience of watching a guy look at me absolutely sneaky and crazy before stuffing a bottle of Ciroc down his pants. Of course, I wanted to yell like..."oohhhh, he stealing" but this day and age, ima just mind my little business. They ran after him but idk if they caught him... Came here Christmas Eve, as did many other Houstonians, but that's to be expected. It was pretty busy but me and my brother were able to find what we wanted quickly, and we had someone approach us and asked if we needed help, which we did. They were more than happy to check the back for what I was looking for, and helped me find an alternative when they informed me they were out of what I initially looked for. The lines moved fast although they were busy as well, and everything was reasonably priced. Only downside is they don't do military discounts. read more

All I will say is that each time I've gone into the store, the staff has been more than willing to assist me, which is a major plus due to my lack of knowledge. One time a came to the store and a young lady was providing drink samples and somehow she was able to glance at me and tell me what type of wine I like. Wow! She was correct and I was impressed. This place used to be amazing. Now they struggle with simple request and orders. They are not able to handle a simple on line order. Twice now in the last 3 times I did online order they either had the driver steal the Alcohol or the team on site just decide to cancel. I enjoy the diverse options of items but if the quality of follow through is this bad I am just going to specs or shopping locally. It's a shame. None of the customers are a priority. Total wine has cheaper prices than specs and the people are so helpful. I've been to multiple total wine locations and the consistency of service has been across the board. It's crazy that all of the bad reviews center around the very same thing I came to post about; bad customer service. I've been to this location twice now and both experiences were less than what I expect out of what has become my favorite wine and spirits store. During my first visit it took the cashier over 12 minutes to locate the tool used to remove the anti-theft device from the wine the patron ahead of me was purchasing. Also during that time, no other cashiers came to the front to check more people out. On my second visit today I used a coupon that was sent to my email, it was the only reason I even chose to go today, and the same cashier mentioned before began to huff and puff like the Big Bad Wolf. I didn't create the coupon nor did I force you to help me but if his goal was to let me know I wasn't welcome at that location he was successful. I won't be coming back. I'd rather sit in traffic and get home later so I can go to the Rice Village location. read more

The only item that we came in for was Tonic water which is a non-alcoholic beverage. When we arrived at the register the older woman who was checking us out asked for my husband's ID which I don't understand because we weren't purchasing alcohol then she proceeded to ask me for my ID as well and which makes no sense at all, she would not answer my question as to why she even had to ID me!
