The cabin was fairly secluded, but not too far from shopping... It's in a back road, and though there were some other dwellings nearby, we never felt intruded upon or otherwise near anyone else (note: we were there in late winter, so the trees were bare... In the late spring/summer/fall, this wouldn't be a factor). The cabin itself was FLAWLESSLY maintained and equipped... We had plenty of firewood, propane, toilet paper, dishes, utensils, etc. Everything was clean and in it's place... The kitchen, bathroom, outdoor propane grill, and hot tub were immaculate... Decor was just what it should be; log cabin charming... Our cell phones had no service, but internet and satellite TV worked reliably... Even had a blue-ray player and a small but adequate sound-system that we could hear on the back porch while having a romantic dinner al fresco... Clean and functional bathroom with shower, bath, modern toilet, large capacity hot water tank, first aid kit, plunger, vacuum, etc... Seriously, better equipped than even your better motor lodges.. There are even some personal touches/fun games that the proprietors play with their guests, if you wish to participate (Just make sure to read the guest book/literature that is left for you!) :-) A day spa, this is not.. But for a TRUE quaint, "home-away-from-home," it is... We WILL be back, and WILL recommend to friends... Well done!!!

It is located close to the office and the larger cabin/lodge, but it is set in a way that we still had complete privacy. We enjoyed the cat that was often there when we opened the door, and also had a lot of fun with the dollar game! We spoke with the owners a couple of times during our stay and they were great as well! We will definitely be back! I can't think of any reason to stay anywhere else!

We stayed in one of the Love Bug cabins because we found a deal online for the two days after…read moreChristmas (which turned out not to be a good deal since the website added a $80 "finders fee!" Not the fault of the owners of the cabins-our fault for not reading the fine print on the "deals" website!) We arrived early, but they accommodated us by cleaning our cabin within an hour which was nice since we had our two dogs with us and it was going to be dark soon! The cabins seem older and a bit neglected, but ours was clean. The bathroom has a nice garden tub with windows and a partial glass ceiling facing the woods. The sky was clear the nights we were there, so we could see the stars through the glass panels! I think when the leaves are on the trees the view of the stars would be obstructed. Unfortunately the hot water tank wasn't working properly the first night and morning, so we didn't enjoy the garden tub (or luke warm showers!) But it was fixed within an hour of us mentioning the problem. There's a nice gas 3 -sided fireplace, a small kitchen with eating area for two (no oven-just a stove top), a couple of wicker chairs with cushions. The bedroom area enjoys a view of the fireplace and has a dresser, bed and nightstand. We live this area and the cabin was within 10 minutes or less of Ash Cave, Old Man's Cave and Cedar Falls. The property the cabins are situated on is scenic and we enjoyed walking quite a ways with the dogs right outside our door!

We rented the Gray Wolf Lodge for two nights and it truly exceeded expectations…read more Gray Wolf said it would sleep a maximum of 12, we had 10 people (6 adults and 4 teenagers) and everyone was comfortable. I had booked the lodge in December for a June stay and all arrival instructions were clearly articulated. House was very clean, furniture was comfortable, and you are about 10 minutes from Old Man's Cave. If you need something from Logan it is more of a 25-30 minute drive to a Walmart or Kroger. Also included staying here is a pool pass good for 12. I highly recommend the Gray Wolf lodge. It was a great experience in the Hocking Hills.

We arrived at Hocking Hills Saturday afternoon, hiked and hung out at the lodge. We then went to our cabin, arriving around 7:00 pm tired and ready for a campfire. But...the driveway was too steep for my SUV to climb. We attempted 4 times and gave up, there was no way my car was going to make it up the hill. We couldn't even see the cabin it was up a huge hill and around a bend. The reservation warned of a steep incline so I called the office when I made the reservation and was told that its only a problem in inclement weather - that was not true! I have a 2024 SUV, I do not have an old car that would be questionable. We couldn't get cell service to call the office so we left and drove to the nearest hotel thinking we would find somewhere else to stay. I reached a lady at Cabins by the Caves and was told we should have been able to get up the hill - her car gets up the hill with no problem and so does the cleaning ladies. Well - my car couldn't and I wasn't going to burn up the engine trying. She eventually gave me my money back and told us "never call again". We tried 4 hotels in the area, all were booked. We had no choice but to drive all the way back home. Needless to say our weekend was a bust. We lost money on our zipline tour and we lost our weekend. DO NOT RENT THIS CABIN WITHOUT A 4 WHEEL DRIVE!!

The spots are a less level staying on the far right side of park but manageable. The area is hilly in general. They have a trail about 1 mile down to the lake. Kayaks available for rent. Laundry room and ice/wood available as well. Office is always nice and consistent. Game room and bounce house for kids upstairs. The dog park was very small maybe .2 acre but they do have the trail that we enjoyed walking.

Not any mature trees in the rv area but this park is fairly new, the dump site as you exit is on a incline so I would be concerned about getting my tanks empty but we're on a full hookup site. If I had young children with me not sure how much they would like being here as roads are narrow but paved, they do have stuff for kids and a fenced dog park, they have one of those huge air bags kids jump on which seems to be quite popular. All in all it's a clean and quiet park with friendly staff. No discounts as in veteran/aarp/aaa etc and again rv sites only shade you get is from your awning as trees need to mature a bit but we've been quite content here, no seasonal sites up all night partying. Here visiting family and we will stay here again when we return but again we're just two older adults who want a peaceful site without confusion.

But none seem to have the solitude of Annette's property. Yet, we are only 10 minutes from major attractions and 15 minutes from dining and grocery stores. Great location!!! PROS: Location Location Location. Very clean. We stayed in the Wyandot. They have two more cabin types; Mingo and Delaware. Property has a nice jacuzzi, a fire pit, a full kitchen... literally everything you might need is provided. Just carry your groceries with you from nearby Logan or Lancaster. Cons: The Wyandot has 3 bedrooms but only one bathroom. The property has a well; the water smells of sulphur (It does not taste funky). We carried bottled water with us. The driveway is gravel and can be slippery in winter or in the rains.

The water is well water so bring bottled water to drink if you are sensitive to that. The kitchen had everything we needed.
