What a great experience!!! Went here with a friend for a "food tasting" originally thought it was a…read morefood class, but this was a full-on 5 course meal with champagne, a white wine pairing and a red wine pairing. It was absolutely out of this world fun and delicious. Even had an Italian soda as an addition. I definitely want to comp back for a couples date/cooking competition, that would be fun. And they also have regular cooking classes with different regional and ethnic foods.

DO NOT bring your children here, or yourself…read more The staff and owners are VERY rude. I brought my daughter and her friends here for her birthday and none of the girls could talk during the three hour class, or they were blamed for not listening. I called three times prior to the class to check in on a couple of details for the class, and no one ever called me back Three times! Unprofessional. As I am spending $65/person x 5 people! They advertise as a cooking class, but each kid gets one minimal task as they go around in a semi-circle and wait for their turn again. While they wait, they have nothing to do but stand there for hours, not talking. They can't even talk to each other or else they get in trouble by the instructors. Why are they not cooking and being instructed?! (As advertised). The building is in an unsafe area. Upon arrival (10 minutes before class time started), the door was locked. Based on the feeling that there was NO WAY I was leaving my children and their friends here. The staff said I could stay, however the owner of Curious Kitchen saw through a camera that I was sitting in the room and asked me to leave. Why is she unknowingly watching the children? They would not let me stay in the same room as the children, but instead I had to sit in the next room for three hours waiting. Why not let a paying customer be in the same room as their kids? Why lock the children into the building? Isn't this against fire code? When I called the owner to ask if I could stay in the room , a huge argument arose. Both of the co-owners, mother and daughter are absolutely horrific. Horrible attitudes. Defensive. Rude. I am shocked that they are still in business. The food was poor quality and tasteless. How do you mess up pigs in a blanket? The potato wedges were cold. DO NOT SPREAD YOUR MONEY HERE!!!! - - - - - - RESPONSE TO THE OWNERS RESPONSE- - - - - -- - I would hope that you take your feedback seriously. I also can not believe that you are still in business with the way you treat your customers. You are claiming that the things I noted about my experience visiting your business are false...they are nothing but TRUTH. Let me be clear, I spoke with BOTH of the co-owner's yesterday - the mother and and daughter yesterday. I was on the speaker phone with the woman that you called a .....and I quote "RACIST" because of the safety issues she experienced outside of your business yesterday. Not only that, you hung up on her. Neither of you stopped talking long enough to let us, the paying customers speak about our negative experiences. We were both having these negative experiences at the same time, which validated both of our feelings. Let me also be clear that I called THREE times before I visited your establishment. I never received even one call back dialing the number that is clearly listed on your web page (615-956-6077). My husband heard me leave all 3 messages and each one was left after a message stating it was the Curious Kitchen. Thus, another validation that I was calling the correct place. I wanted to gather information on a private event - 10th birthday for my daughter. Boy, am I glad I never got ahold of either of you and spent more money than I already have! Regarding the "safety", or lack thereof. Why would I want to do a cooking class for myself or my children that requires for everyone to be locked in because the neighborhood is so unsafe? Also - you skirted around the fact that IT IS AGAINST FIRE CODE TO LOCK CHILDREN INSIDE OF A BUILDING. ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU ARE COOKING AND HOT OVENS AND FIRE ARE INVOLVED. In regards to the food - you do not provide QUALITY INGREDIENTS. I can bake food in my kitchen that is much better quality. So for you to blame it on the kids since they prepared the food - it's disgraceful. And no - the potato wedge wasn't cold "because parents are invited in after the children have already eaten." I was there before they even got their food because I never left and pushed into the next room. Thus, I was there the entire last 30 minutes of class. Nice try though! AGAIN - DO NOT ATTEND ANY CLASS HERE. THIS PEOPLE SHOULD BE OUT OF BUSINESS.

I am the co-owner of an immersive traveling art experience and was looking to hire a traveling bar…read morefor our opening nights and after literally everyone I know giving glowing reviews of the folks with Smedevents, I contacted them to see if they would work our event. The prices were super reasonable and the professionalism of the person I spoke with, Sarah, really made feel like what she had to offer was quality for the cost. I didn't want to hire some irresponsible and sloppy bar for our opening night. There were literally news media there that made this event especially important. She went on to discuss the specialty cocktails they would procure custom to our event. Dude, I was so pumped! She even gave me tips on how I could save more money with different drink options and even the legalities of have a mobile bar and what permits I would have to acquire. I literally couldn't have begun to think of this stuff myself. I thought I had my work cut out for me. I don't even think she knew how much relief I got just from our initial conversation. We hired them immediately and within a day she sent us the names and qualifications of the the two bartenders who would be working that night. I have never heard of anyone do that before, granted I bad never hired a bar before. I really loved how they were also willing to wear costumes we selected to match the theme of our event and they even allowed us to decorate their stand/bar to also match. How cool is that?! I felt like we were so lucky to come across this business. Unfortunately, my business partners decided to forego a bar at this event. They wanted to emphasize a family-friendly atmosphere and felt that an open bar would draw a younger and more rambunctious crowd. I understand where they were coming from, but if it was my choice Smedevents would have been our go-to mobile bar service for every special event we curated. I feel like their professionalism would have kept our vibe intact, but alas I am only a 4th of the deciding party. I recommend them to anyone I know looking for alcohol at their events. I know I am responsible for a couple of their bookings and my friends have told me that their service is exceptional. I had no doubt. I am having a wedding next year and will make a mad dash to hire them. I have attached snippets of my conversation with Sarah.

Well as far as the venue they were not directly at the bar watching for the whole night. I was…read moresober and I understand there's going to be different stories. I'm not surprised she denies the $100 thing but I confirmed it with my uncle. My uncle who paid her would have no reason to lie. I understand that her actions don't necessarily reflect the company but you can under my level of being upset. The security guard who's also the coordinators husband as well as your company are recommended by the venue owner so I'm sure that everyone has stake in the game here. I just agree with my claims being dismissed as lies when I was sober and was there the whole night. My one friend was cut off after 45 min and he weighs well over 250lbs. I think he had maybe 2 or 3 beers in an hour. The security guard from what I understand is coordinator"s husband. He wasn't monitoring the bar that closely. I was a cop for 11 years and I was paying attention to what was going on. Either way I think the girl sucked and she doesn't reflect ur company and the normal great reviews y'all have. She's denying accepting tips as bribes which is fine but these are family members telling us these things. These people have no reason to lie. I didn't address it with anyone because so much else went wrong I just wanted to try and enjoy my wedding. As far as ANYONE including the venue owner accusing people of drinking heavily during the day that is nonsense. Many of my guests didn't arrive til 3:30-4pm My groomsman were helping set up all day NOT drinking. I wasn't in thr bridal suite but I know the girls were getting ready and not getting hammered. Some of our bridal party are sober AA members. The venue owner has some nerve saying anything about anyone drinking it's not their job it's the bartender's. The only people who could've been observed "drinking heavily" were our bridal party who were maybe sippin on a beer or two as we waited to walk out. These accusations have no basis coming from them. And idk what type of training this person had but anyone I spoke to that was cut off was not drunk. The security was useless and between the venue owners and him all they did was gawk and watch my guests like CIA operatives. The whole expert are my guests feel uneasy and unwelcomed. I'm sure you have a stellar business but this girl didn't perform well. As far as her denying her bribes she can deny all she wants. I know these people they are family and they told me what they paid her to be served. That's on her for making bad choices. If she was worried about intoxication she should've just cut em off and left it at that. But why take tips then serve them still? The venue owner was on the porch across the was a fair amount of the night. She was not monitoring my guests BAC. Her opinion holds no water. If she had an opinion idk why she talked to my bartender and possibly persuaded her to cut off my guests so soon. At the end of the day the bartender was not personable. She came off like she didn't wanna be there. Ur company should hire people that are friendly and welcoming. She was not. I withdraw the fact that she was late then I thought she was supposed to be their earlier. She served me and my wife and didn't even say congrats . It was a "hear ya go" lol I was shocked. She was just not friendly. I've had better bar service At Applebee's I feel were not getting anywhere. It seems that my option and perception as a paying customer doesn't matter here. I'm not lying about what I observed and what was told to me. My own fam members paid her to serve them when she cut them off soo that's on her. We set up the bar to be nice No thank you or anything We shouldn't have done anything I'm just over it To avoid this just don't use her i guess lol She needs training or a new field And the venue having any say in this i fee is nonsense. If they had an issue with anyone or anything they should've said something to me or my wife or any of my people. I've never been to a more sober wedding to be honest. I feel like the people involved were on differ wave lengths. I just don't appreciate my claims being dismissed I'm the paying customer. The Bartender is straight up lying and the venue owner has zero idea what she's talking about. She didn't integrator perform field sobriety tests on my guests. The drinking all day claim is ludacris. We were there setting up all day and not drinking The guests that weren't there were at the hotel. How can she say she knew what my guests were doing 30 min away at a hotel ?!
