I went to Whiskey Wings Largo to see one of my favorites, TL Jentgens play. It was a very busy night, but my husband and I were able to find a table and order some drinks and appetizers and watch the show. After we ate I headed to the dance floor for the rest of the night. Megi was our amazing server, and I was so impressed with how friendly and attentive she was all night. She maneuvered around the jam packed restaurant with ease, and always had a beautiful smile on her face. I told my husband that she is the best server that I have ever had in my life and he agreed. For drinks I had watermelon and pineapple Nutrls, and he had beers. We also ordered the mild boneless wings with blue cheese, southwest fiesta rolls and the Bavarian pretzel sticks with craft beer cheese dip. We enjoyed it all. I love that Whiskey Wings is close to home and that | get to dance on the dance floor while seeing my favorite bands play there. This is a spacious restaurant and bar, with plenty of tvs, and live music. We got to Whisky Wings at Keene and E. Bay in Largo on a Friday night after the band had already started (Jan 2026), and it was too late to sit indoors. Even the outside seating was nearly full, and we could still hear the band just fine from out there! This would be crazy fun when you are in the mood for nearly deafening rock. Whiskey wings!! Surprised me based on their reviews but visited here on a Friday during the day and it was empty but the customers there and the staff were the kindest people ever. The space had inside and outside seating with heaters for outside seating during cold fronts like the one we experienced. Ashley our waitress was hands down the best bartender and waitress handling things on her own but felt like we had a full staff waiting on us. The food was surprisingly so good for a bar. We had the impossible burger and the fried shrimp with the Kentucky bbq on the side. Fries were delicious and crunchy. The impossible burger had Guacamole on it as a sub for cheese so friendly for Diary free folks and vegetarian folks. The fried shrimp were seasoned really well, which isn't always the case . Also the breading was balanced not too much and not too little! Ashley made such a good expresso martini and even made the best mocktail for my friend who challenged her to make something with a balance of sweet and tart. Food was terrible. I got a salad with salmon. The salmon was overcooked, it looked like they put it in the deep fryer. Edges were burnt and they put it in a side container with garlic toast on top. The salad, a mix of spring and romaine, half the spring was black and mush and the romaine was all the middle yellow and white parts. Gross! And the salad was warm. We also ordered wings with sauce on the side including blue cheese etc, they didn't put lids on the sauce containers properly so they opened and it was all over everything in the bag. We ate there 3 (ish) years ago and it was bad then. We wanted to try again because we live very close and it's convenient. Never again. I thought maybe it would be better. I should have listened to my gut. This place should stick to just serving watered down alcohol. read more

When visiting family in Florida, I was told I wouldn't be disappointed coming here. It was a good visit. I ate a ton of bar food as a kid so it's nice to see my niece and nephew do the same. This was one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had. It took about 15 minutes for our waitress to even acknowledge our table, and when she finally came over she acted like she didn't want to be there. She only came to our table twice--once to take our drink order and once to take our food order--and we never saw her again after that. We had to walk up to the bar ourselves just to get boxes for our food and to ask for the check, which is completely unacceptable. The food wasn't any better. I ordered the buffalo wrap and it was awful. There was barely any buffalo sauce on it and it honestly tasted gross, especially considering the price. We come here every time we shop at Winn-Dixie. It's in the same plaza. They've got a diverse menu more than traditional bar fare. Yes they have wings and sandwiches but they also have mussels and mac and cheese. We usually sit at the bar and the staff is usually pretty busy but they say hi, are happy to see you, make sure your drink isn't empty and get your order pretty quickly. The ambiance it's a sports bar there are a lot of TV's it's perfect for a first date, date night, after a kids sport game or just your neighborhood bar. Will I go back? Absolutely! I was very apprehensive to come here since the reviews weren't the best. It was awesome. There was a Halloween even going on and a live band. Yes it was crowded and the servers were busy but we got a table and ordered food and our server was awesome. I am writing a few days later and feel bad I forgot her name. There was a group of who came in together. We got the chips and dip which had amazing white queso. We also got the fiesta egg rolls and the potato skins. It was our first time to experience Whiskey Wings and we were excited... but we'll never stop at another WW again. From the get-go the bartender (Ashley) had a problem with my husband and I. Upon entering, the bar top was sloppy with dirty (and still wet) swipes from a filthy bar rag. When we asked if there was a cleaner spot to sit at Ashley took high offense to the "cleaner spot" comment. It was down hill from there. We ordered 1/2 pound of their boneless chicken bites as an appetizer and continued to look at the menu for more food. After another 15-20 minutes (and still no boneless bites yet) we ordered more food. A few minutes later ALL of our food items showed up at the same time (boneless wings, filet bites and a steak fajita). Not the chicken bites first as an appetizer as we requested. The breading on the chicken bites was rock hard and the chicken inside was almost rubbery. When my husband explained this to Ashley she actually said to him, "We'll take this back, you don't have to be rude about it." I was shocked by her comment (because he was very nice about it) and my husband said to Ashley, "How am I being rude? Would you rather I not tell you how bad it was?" That's no way for people and a company to grow. Ashley turn her back on us and stormed into the kitchen with the chicken bites. Also, the steak in my fajitas was oily, no seasoning and tasted like bad Chinese takeout meat. The peppers and onions were oily and tasteless. My husband's filet bite meat also tasted like bad Chinese takeout meat. Cheap. Maybe old meat? Don't know. For the high prices that we were charged, it was extremely disappointing. Oh... and when we asked for a manager... there was not one on duty (2pm in the afternoon). Said a manager wouldn't show up until after 5pm. Bad food. Bad service. Full of flies and very poorly run. Spend your hard-earned money some place else. We will NEVER go into another Whisky Wings. read more

Fun place to be. Went here to see a show, the wonderful TL Jentgens. It's an intimate stage so a great show. When not hosting a show is a cool large sports bar with an outdoor patio area as well. I didn't actually have anything to eat this visit but my friends had some drinks but since it was during the show and it was packed the drinks did take a while to come. read more

This is my favorite weekday hangout. I love close by and come here for some IPA's to get some of the days stress away. The bartenders are always so helpful, talkative and nice. Their menu has a lot of variety although being honest I never come here for the food. The ambiance is pretty awesome especially when they have live music. There are some nights. Where you can even sit it's so pack and the crowd is lively and enjoying every minute of it. If you're in the area give this place a try especially during afternoon evening hours. read more

So we actually came here after a horrible experience at the Varsity Club (read their review) and we are so happy we did. We were sitted immediately even with it being shortly after 1pm on a Sunday with all the football games going on and we got a spot right in front of the Broncos game. There were two other TVs directly next to that and we noticed that no one was watching the TV that had the Giants game on so we asked the waitress if we could have it changed to the Lions game. She didn't hesitate to go ask the manager, and he came over right away to our table. He quickly looked around to observe the other customers in our area of the restaurant and agreed that no one appeared to be watching that TV. The game was actually on in another location that had most of the customers in, so he gladly changed the channels for us as the Lions-Bears game was not on in that part of the restaurant. We thanked him for his quick service and lack of hesitation to accommodate us even with the TV previously being labeled and set for another game. Funny enough, while Ben was up talking to him one of his good friends noticed him and came over to say hi. He was there with a big group for the Miami game and they even had a Giants fan with them but again, they were sitting closer to the other TV that had the game on as well. So perfect, great customer service and friends to go with it. Their table was full but still close enough that we were able to go back and forth without problems. The great thing about football and being out to watch the games is that everyone gets into the games and gets loud which was perfect because Ben and Greg just yelled back and forth to each other (they are in the same fantasy league). Our waitress was great but I did feel bad for her as Ben was all over the place with being excited for the games, sittings and friends that she had to come back several times to get his orders. I even joked with her that he had used up all his table visits and she no longer needed to stop by to see if we needed anything. I had already ordered along with the two other friends that were at our table. I ordered the filet tips appetizer with the garlic butter sauce. It comes with bread. Honestly, it was just ok. The filet was tender as it should be but really just was plain. They do serve it as an entrée as well that comes with rice but that was a lot more money and I don't think the rice would have made a difference. It just needed something more. Ben got the Southwest Egg Rolls and Kentucky Bourbon Chicken Wings. If comparing the egg rolls to Chili's, these are spicer and have large pieces of chicken in them. A little spicy for me but I am a whimp. We were concerned with how big the wings would actually be since there is a "wing shortage" and prices are through the roof everywhere so Ben walked around to see if he could tell me other people's orders. Oddly, at that time no one had any wings on their table or uneaten wings so we just went for it. Ours were large in size so we were happy about that and the sauce was good. We ordered ours naked vs breaded because we were told by the waitress that the breading was kinda heavy and we both like ours light. The handicapped bathroom has been closed for two years as owner refuses to pay for concrete plumbing problem and even too cheap to put a grab bar in other small toliets!! Stopped in for drinks and apps on a Saturday night with some friends, prices were reasonable and the band played some great songs, but I'm not sure I'll be rushing back to this location. I do love live music & the band they had was fabulous, but the volume was way too loud. If you were sitting inside, you had no chance of holding a conversation with your group. Even outside it was hard to hear. Plus the chill was quite bad outside, and many of their heaters were out of propane so overall the atmosphere was eh. Only reason I come here is to eat food after I drink at a delicious brewery. The service is ALWAYS lacking personality and knowledge of their own menu. They don't check up on your table if you're in a large party. Waters/Soda need refilling and beers need another round. "What do you want" is the only thing really said to me by any server. The food isn't even that amazing to go out of your way to get. It's literally because I'm drinking next door. Hopefully you have better options. What do you want? Anything but whiskey wings.
