Brought 2 bottles grabbed a couple of and enjoyed bottles the sweet blush and a berry wine. The blue is good very good saving the berry for later. But a little music from my iPhone and a view works! The venue is spectacular. It has been standing since 1876 by what once was the Sunbury train…read morestation. It catered to the most discriminating travelers and the venue still reflects that. It is open for lunch only on Thursdays, and you may need a reservation. Fridays throughout the month of April 2017, they offer dinner theater. Otherwise, they are open only for holidays and special events: St. Patrick's Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and wine tastings, scotch tastings. If you send them your e-mail address, or add it on their website, they will alert you to up-coming events. They only prepare one menu per day, but it is always different. We stopped by for lunch today and had a fritatta and salad. The fritatta was nothing to write home about--mostly potatoes, but it went down OK. The salad was something else: large, covered with grated cheese, with mixed garden greens + spinach, avocado, onions, tomato. You can get it with or without cold turkey slices, croutons, in fact you can have almost anything you want in it. There was only one one dessert today, chocolate chunk cookies. They begin making them when we order them, and when they came out the were so hot we could hardly hold them together. The location is what this restaurant is all about. Near the courthouse, so lots of lawyers and police officer, and across the street from the new synagogue. The food is priced for every man: we paid $24 w/tip for our fritatta, salad, and cookies. Home delivery of a wonderful lunch for my husband and me. He had two big meaty pieces of bbq…read morechicken which he loved along with the applesauce and pepper cabbage. My delicious ham and Swiss sandwich with their honey mustard sauce was part lunch and the rest will be my dinner because it was just too big for me. He shared some of their moist banana cake with me that was so yummy! Our order of chicken pot pie and blueberry muffins will be our dinner tomorrow! We were happy to wave to the sweet delivery girl who dropped our food off during these dark days of this crazy virus.
