When I visited last year, they only had ciders in cans. My friend got a peach one and I got the pear. It was not the traditional apple forwarding kind of cider (think Angry Orchard or 1911). It was early so the place was quiet. There were some outdoor seats (tree stumps) in the back and we opted for a high table inside since it was a somewhat muggy day. Will have to come back again to check out other offerings. Would love to sample more :) read more

What a great little find in Lewisburg! Came here during the time of Coronavirus. A very cute little shop inside and the vibe is great. There was only one person working there when we went and she was very friendly. The cider is apparently made by one person alone and she was literally canning the cider when we walked in. We got some 4 packs for take out. They have special varieties for COVID - Plum, Passion Fruit and Peach. All were excellent! The flavors were very genuine, not too sugary. When it came to the plum, it really tasted like you were eating a plum (mild plum I suppose). They were also very nice and accommodating given the outdoor dining everyone was doing - they allowed us to use the restroom and fill up our water bottles so we could eat outside with the takeout we got. All in all an excellent experience. The varieties on the website sound great and we hope to be back after COVID is gone to check the place out in full swing! read more

This place is such a gem! I was in town visiting some friends, and they frequent this place especially when out of towners come through. We spent a rainy afternoon here, it was a pretty large group of us, and had such a fun time. They have more than a reasonable selection of distinct ciders, and I had to get a taste of a few! For only $10 I was able to get a flight of 4 of my choosing and really enjoyed the jalepeño cider as well as the honey tap. Very fun space with some close friends! read more

I'm so glad this bar is taking everything into consideration with what is going on. Donating to organizations that are wonderful and care for people. They are a very up beat type of bar. A lot of "hipster" people on comedy night that are all super friendly. The atmosphere and vibe is incredible and they care about human beings. Stopped by for a comedy show before the Pandemic was hosted by DrunkBillExplains (great podcast) my wife and I ordered some of the ciders and we liked them quite a bit. Only complaint was a lot of the college kids pushing at times but I guess that's what's going to happen at a bar in a college town. 4/5 or an awesome Cider Bar. read more

We stopped here during our trip to Lewisburg. The cider was delicious and the variety was great. We recommend getting the cider flight to try out a few of the cider flavors before choosing one. The cider was reasonably priced. The cider is made fresh, so make sure to come early in the week so they don't run out of your favorite flavors. The atmosphere was cute and quaint. It was a great place to either sit at the bar, play darts in the back room, or hang out outside. The only con was that they don't make cocktails, they only offer only ciders, beer, and liquors with soda. read more

This place is a hidden gem! They have great hard cider, some cider/beer collaborations with a couple local breweries as well as a few non alcoholic options. Used to love this place and came for drinks weekly. Unfortunately, it seems as though that all of their recipes and servers have changed. A group of us went for a nice evening out and were extremely disappointed by both the service and the drinks. Each cider we had tasted like dirty bath water, and when we asked the bartender for a re-pour we were greeted with extreme disrespect and unkindness. She claimed that is was our "taste change," and refused to refund our undrank cider or remedy the situation. Will not be going back any time soon read more

Awesome find. If you are traveling through or live near the area you should 100℅ stop here. It's not just cider. It's apple flavored (and other flavors) whiskey-type liquor that you can have straight or in a craft cocktail. I can't explain it right because it's so unique, so you will just have to go and try for yourself. There is a cute outdoor space with a fire that is nice during spring/fall. This is my first visit to Civil War Cider company. I would like to start with how nice and helpful the staff are here. The bartender did a great job of explaining the different ciders. There were four ciders on tap with various flavored and alcohol levels. As suggested we started out with a flight of all four choices. My wife and I each found out favorite and got a glass of each. They were amazing!! We stayed a couple hours, had three or so drinks each and had a great time. This is a great spot to go to getaway from the norm. From the moment we walked into CWC we loved it. There are no words to describe how awesome the ciders are. We were totally blown away by the different varieties of the ciders. I would have never thought of adding coffee or hot peppers to cider, amazing!!! Rob is a genius cider maker and Veronica was a wonderful bartender, very knowledgeable and attentive. After leaving a nearby tavern I was headed back to the car when I spotted this gem. People were actively engaged in 80's Trivia. I loved the cider as it was not as sweet as many I have had. The staff were vibrant, funky and knowledgeable. The back roomS are amazing and I most definitely want to return and sit by a blazing camp fire. This is a really cute little bar in downtown Lewisburg. It has an almost hipster vibe, though the crowd is a bit of a mix of people. The ciders are really tasty and brewed on site.
