I ordered a Premium floral arrangement and received a Standard one…read more This seems to be a common occurance when ordering flowers for gift delivery. I always ask the recipient to send me a photo. The arrangement sent, in addiiton to it be a scaled down version of what I ordered, didn't look anything like what I ordered. Instead of roses and mini-carnations, they sent a bouquet of daisys. Pictures below. I ordered by phone and made a special point that I expected the arrangement to be of Premium value and close to what I ordered. They assured me no problem. When I saw what was sent I called, asked for the owner, and asked for a partial reimbursement at the very least to the Standard pricing. After being "talked over" by the owner, he finally begrudgingly agreed. He claimed it was "fair and equal value". I can assure you it wasn't even close. Beware!

That was two contacts (at least) with them and no follow-up. Gee, I wonder if it's because the house was located in Mount Vernon. They're based in New Rochelle. Can't be that it's too far.

Sadly, they made so many substitutions without consulting us and there were even instances where arrangements fell apart. During our consultation and correspondence prior to our wedding they were very warm and assured us that they would be able to provide us with the flowers (many for sentimental reasons) we requested. When our wedding day came, we thought they were bringing in flowers for another wedding by mistake. Per the suggestion of our wedding venue (who was also disappointed to see what Hedge produced for us...it was really bad) we requested a partial refund for the arrangements that fell apart and extreme substitutions they made. Sadly, they declined to do the correct thing. Hedge proved to be an untrustworthy vendor that would say anything just to get our business. They showed us that they do not care about their client's requests and wishes for their special day, only their questionable aesthetic and your hard earned money in their pocket (that they will gladly keep even after providing a terrible service.) Stay away from this vendor.
