Gorgeous set up after the renovation. I was looking for a bouquet last minute (but for a male) and all of the pre-made bouquets were super girly. I called QG Floral to confirm order and asked them to coordinate the delivery with the funeral home. 6/9 Day of Funeral 9:00am starting time. I arrived at the Funeral Home at 8:45am and there were no flowers ! The QG van finally arrived at the funeral home at about 9:30am with the flowers. Not only did they deliver the flowers one day late, they even delivered after the funeral had started. QF never notified me that they will deliver on the day of the funeral instead of one day before as I had instructed. Their Delivery Confirmation to me shows they delivered on 6/9 at 10:24am. They can't even put the correct time in their confirmation. I received no apology, just excuses. Not happy with this business ! read more

When I called to place the order, the babies breath were hard to find and you said you will replace them with something else. Despite my desappointment, I accepted. Went to get a birthday bouquet and asked if I could spend X amount on the bouquet. The sales guy was nice and picked nice flowers for the bouquet. After the flowers were picked, he gave it to the worker in the back, a man with glasses. He was putting it together and he told me that the amount of flowers surpasses $100 but we're giving it to you at a good price for them. I said thanks, for $80 it's very nice. He said no it's $85. I responded, sorry my budget was $80. He then proceeded to take off flowers from what was originally picked. His job was to arrange the flowers and not to get involved with pricing as this was already established. He was rude to deal with. Bouquet is nice but that worker was rude. For example, QG staf recommended an effective and humane Squirrel repellent that finally ended years of bitter defeat by the neighborhood squirrels. It was inexpensive and available in their well stocked gardening center. It's impossible to walk out of there empty handed! read more

Kind of a late review but I just drove past and was reminded. Valentine's Day. Lady in my life wanted hydrangeas. Didn't know what they were . Went here and they had them. Probably could of been cheaper but it was Valentine's Day. Got them to their destination-a day later flowers were wilted and a day later all dead. $25+ dollars wasted. No flower food provided. It's not like the place is a shack on the side of the road or even a mom and pop. It's a large operation with enough people to not forget the flower food. I did a walk in for a bouquet, the guy didn't quite picked the color I wanted so I asked him to change a few of them. While he is patient, he said that the color he picked is the mood I told him I want. (He maybe right... I'm not an expert) He did somewhat change a few of them but the bouquet still isn't exactly what I want. This place is absolutely beautiful inside and my go to neighborhood spot to feed my crazy plant lady addiction! If you're ever in the neighborhood please stop by and check out the greenhouse. You'll find many of those popular houseplants you see advertised online (monstera, zz plants, money plants,you name it ) but reasonably priced. The plants are extremely well kept, look healthy and are beautiful. The only thing better than the selection of plants is the customer service. I struck up a conversation with a very nice gentlemen who works there who offered lots advice on plant care. When I told him I was nervous about repotting a plant that was root bound he said I should bring the plant to the store and he'd be happy to do it for me. I use this florist all the time for special occasions, holidays and so on and have always been happy and satisfied. This past week I came to purchase my Christmas tree. Not only did the sales associate try to charge me an extra $35 dollars for the same tree I bought last year size, type and everything but he was a little short with me. On top of that he rushed me so I didn't have a chance to really check the tree. When I got home and carried the 6ft tree all the way up to my 3rd floor walk up apartment, I was completely distrust to find out that not only way the tree cut in a slant to it kept falling over but half the bottom of one side was cut out and basically dead. I am beside myself that I spent over $100 on a tree that looks terrible!! read more

Asked a Suffern NY funeral home for a recommendation for a local florist as it was Xmas weekend. They recommended this place. Order placed. $ 200 + for a vase of flowers. At the service, the flowers were embarrassing, looking as though someone had merely placed neglected flowers--poorly arranged--in a vase. Some flowers wilted in the vase. So I called to complain the following day and was told that they have a wonderful reputation--"just look at our website"--but that someone would get back to me about my complaint. No response. In my life, I was never more embarrassed with the basket that was sent for my mom's best friend's wake who she had known for 75 years! When I walked into the funeral parlor... I nearly passed out!! The basket that was sent was a basket from the dollar store with 2 straggly green plants dangling out. The basket I ordered was a woven wicker basket with the word"blooming" as the first word in the description which was supposed to have fuschia leaves and a fuschia flowering plant used... I specifically chose that with the photo that drew me to it... I called the florist immediately during the wake because I was mortified. They argued but said they would send a replacement... the deceased daughter sent me a picture of the replacement and they used a slightly larger basket from 1976 and put more green plants in it... the manager or whoever was put in charge of my dissatisfaction said that the pictures sometimes don't match what is actually sent and blooming plants may not be in season. That's where I really got upset... it is peak flower season in NY and every nursery, grocery store Lowe's or Home Depot has the plants featured in the advertisement I paid for. I'm not a complainer ever, but this was totally unacceptable and embarrassing and you could see it on the faces of the people at the wake! I'd never trust this florist again to represent any occasion sad or happy. SH read more
