I've stayed one night here and I'm excited to have one more because this place is well worth the competitive rate - so peaceful and beautiful, everywhere you look and explore. I spent some time with a friend by the huge lily pond with a fountain and an extended pier, just out from a covered area used for weddings!! The breakfast was real food and delicious!! I just needed a place to stay so I'm thankful I took my time to find this amazing best kept secret that far exceeds my expectations.

We celebrated Valentine's Day at Whispering Pines Restaurant. It was a packed house. The food and service was good. The atmosphere is part of the experience. It's a beautiful place.

    - Need a break from Campus Corner? - Looking for a restaurant that isn't all the way up in OKC but serves fine dining entrées that will make your mouth water? Whispering Pines was erected in the 1990s but has all the charm of a hotel built much earlier in the century. The location gives all the peace and quiet of being in the "middle of nowhere," but is just a few miles east of Norman. They offer exceptional touches like freshly baked bread, rich original soups, and homemade palate-cleansing sorbet between courses. A full bar of fine wines and spirits is also available to complete your dining experience. And, while you won't pay "OKC steakhouse" prices, you will receive a 5-star meal. Give it one try and you'll be hard pressed to find a better fine dining experience in Norman.

Quaint and so, so tasty. Started with the crab bisque and a house salad. Both were wonderful. I got the chicken and my husband got the filet. We both cleaned our plates and finished it off with a cream brûlée and took a chocolate cake home. We would definitely come back again. Natalee took great care of us! Our compliments to the chef! Thank you for a wonderful, relaxing evening out before our baby comes.

Went here for a special New Year's Eve dinner and it wasn't good. They put some type of nasty sauce/gravy on the steak and the lamb rack even though we told them not to. It gave me some pretty bad indigestion and won't be back. I won't be back and don't recommend it. The cottages are too dim, the ceiling fan has the lights removed. The toilet room looked like a club toilet it was so dim. I'm sure they're cheap and trying to cut cost but DAMN!!!!! I can't see very well in this place. The fridge didn't even have a light. Also ran out of hot water because we used the jacuzzi tub, therefore, COLD SHOWERS!!! If you're older and have vision problems don't come here.

My husband booked online and requested someone to call him for a dinner reservation. No one called him. He said he called at least 15 times and left messages. He never got a return call. Finally, he got someone to answer and made the reservation. Reservations are required so he was very insistent on getting one for us. My husband booked us a night here for our 21st wedding anniversary. We live in Norman so this was suppose to be a relaxing stay-cation for us. We checked in. Got to our room, the Satin Suite, and every thing was set up as my husband requested. Champagne chilled, rose petals on the bed as well as flickering candles, chocolate cake in the mini fridge. We relaxed and talked before dinner. It was so nice...no dogs no teen daughter. We went down before our dinner reservation to get drinks at the bar. There was a wedding reception so it was very loud, we could barely talk. Luckily, after the wedding guest got drinks and food they went outside. The bartender was Jack of all trades, bartenders and waitress. She was attentive and did a good job with a good attitude. We ordered dinner, a steak and lamb. Both were really yummy. Very expensive, but yummy. After dinner we walked the grounds a little bit. It was hard to be have a romantic moment with all the wedding guests every where. There were many very young children running around. After walking around we went to our room to enjoy alone time. Which was very nice. However, when we went to go to bed the chaos came alive. Our room was above the bar, restaurant and kitchen. It was so loud. All the noise carried upstairs. Loud guests, barking dogs all night long. Clattering dishes. My husband went to bed around 10pm. I waited MUCH later for the noise to stop. I finally went to bed and the dogs wouldn't stop barking. The bed was so uncomfortable. My husband actually got up and slept on the sofa because he was so uncomfortable. The next morning we got up to leave. We were both so exhausted from a lack of sleep and my husbands back her so bad. We went to go check out and cancel our breakfast. I had to knock on the door to get someone's attention. She didn't seem to care that we were checking out and canceling breakfast. She said to leave the key on the counter and she would cancel the breakfast. I obviously bothered her. On the way home we were talking and my husband said he wanted to go home in the middle of the night. I said I did too, but I didn't want him to think I didn't appreciate all the effort he put into celebrating our anniversary. This place was recommended by one of my husbands friends who had a much better experience than we did. The place was nice until bedtime.

This Inn was very delightful and beautiful! Set off the road in a rolling countryside with plenty of trees, a lake, facilities for a large gathering, outdoor patios, indoor dining are some of the amenities they offer. Each room is different and has a theme. The beds were very comfortable with nice linens. The bathrooms have a spa tub and the towels are very soft and the toiletries are nice. Check-in with Amelia was smooth and she was very helpful. Shout-out to Lexi and Amber also! Helpful and pleasant, assisting guests. The rooms were immaculate! We stayed Mar 3 and Mar 5 so we had two different rooms, both beautiful! Thank you for a very lovely experience. My husband and I had a visit to remember and we will be back!

This is a wonderful little bed and breakfast! I stayed here for a night about two months ago, and whole experience was wonderful. The owner was very friendly and went out of her way to make accommodations for my stay. I had to make last minute changes due to a mistake on my part, but she was very understanding. The rooms are adorable and very well kept. The grounds are forest-y and beautiful, so it felt like I was in a fairytale haha. Also; They bring breakfast to you in the morning as an extra bonus. Would definitely stay here again.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the metro area. It has French cuisine and everything is impeccable. We started out with a split of red wine. I'm not sure which one, which is a faux pas in my part, but it was nice, They brought us out bread and butter. But not just any bread and butter; this is bread and butter from the gods, from Mt. Olympus, it was Manna from heaven. The bread was a freshly baked yeast roll that had the imperfections from being actually kneaded and baked. The butter was in a design and was wonderful. It is honey butter with dill. It doesn't actually sound good, but I actually just ate butter, it was so good. The soup of the day was a cream of mushroom and it was creamy and perfect with nice pieces of mushroom. Then they brought us a small scoop of citrus sorbet made in house and it was yummy. It was also to clear our palettes for the main course. I had ordered the half a rack of lamb with a wine reduction. I had it cooked to medium rare. It was being amazing. The man could just melt in my mouth. They serve it with vegetables and potato au gratin. I literally couldn't eat it all and had to bring it home. I'm not wasting an amazing meal.

Mya never wanted to sign a contract, told my daughter that she didn't discuss the plans until 4 months before the date, and barely showed up for their one and only meeting a few weeks before the date. Mya was very accommodating when she offered for us to drop off the items we were going to us, but when we showed up the leftover dirt, drinks, and rubbish from the previous wedding was still hanging out. The reception area was filthy. We had to clean and put away items, even the ice tea container. Mya did not show up to decorate at all after the tables were set up. She showed up at the rehearsal but did not follow the notes she and my daughter agreed upon. The day of the wedding she barely got the flowers my daughter had into the vases on the tables, didn't have paper towels in the bathrooms, didn't have the sweetheart table set up so we had to do that the morning of, hid the bubbles, I had to go ask for the tables to be bussed, the cake to be cut (which she mutilated the bottom layer), and then did not help put things away that was stated in the non signed contract. If you've read this far the positives were: the venue is beautiful, the venue has decorations (although they are dirty and unkept), the courtyard is spectacular, and the cost is hard to beat. If you want Mya to give a cookie cutter wedding I am sure your day will be wonderful, but if you want your day to be yours, be prepared for the bare minimum from Mya.

Like there's a silo (I think that's what it is?) right outside the venue and also train tracks right outside too. It definitely feels like you are in a more or less secluded area, even though it's very much still in Edmond. The ground outside the venue was mostly large gravel up closest to the entrance, and small gravel further away (like where most people ended up parking). It wasn't the most level ground, which made it a bit difficult for those of us in high heels! It also didn't help that it had rained earlier that day, so there were tons of puddles... so many that you could barely avoid stepping in dirty water, not to mention the wetness paired with the gravel paired with tall shoes just made for a slightly wobbly walk inside. Not the worst thing ever, but if I were the venue, I'd definitely consider paving more of the ground outside to counteract this! There is a small deck type thing out of the front. They have stairs and also a ramp up to this deck which leads to the front door entrance. Inside was smaller than I expected it to be, but it definitely fit everyone that came to the wedding and the reception. It has sort of a mix of the cute country vibe and the fancy warehouse vibe thing going on. I believe you could see the bricks inside, and there were also barn doors on the windows just for example. There was a small balcony in the back. From what I could tell the only way to get up to the balcony was by stairs. Then through a hallway in the back they also have bathrooms and a groomsmen room and bridesmaids room. Because the ceremony and reception were both here, we had to all go outside to wait for them to switch from rows of chairs to tables. I'm not sure if the venue itself was in charge of doing this, or some outside third party, but it didn't take too long (maybe 10-15 minutes). Luckily, we had food and a coffee bar to keep us occupied while waiting for this switch.

There were even gluten free cookies available upon arrival! We'll definitely be staying there again the next time we drive through Oklahoma City!
