This is a really lovely park... plenty of open space for playing games on the grass, getting some…read moresun, and also a pavilion or two for larger groups that want some cover & picnic tables. in the lower area, there's a very short little pathway by the water... there were kids playing and exploring the water, and someone else was fly fishing. On the upper portion of the park is the actual walking trail, which is a really well worn out path and very easy to walk (though I wouldn't consider it accessible to those in wheelchairs, etc). There isn't really anything to *see* at the end... it just kind of ends... but then you turn around and walk back. Honestly, my dog was more than happy to explore the entirety either way. :) I do have to remove one star because their bathroom facilities aren't great. At the time of my visit, the women's restroom was completely clogged - and the men's room was basically a single stall. :-/ TL;DR Really enjoyable park and I'll definitely be back in the future.

We started on the wood-area of the park, walking toward the creek and water falls at the Glen itself. The round trip of the hike was just a sliver more than 2 miles but it was an easy hike, with just two sections of up/down hill-climbing. Very beautiful and picturesque, with an amazing tunnel under the Amtrak tracks. Very much recommended for a short, morning hike if you don't mind the drive out.

Does not have its own dedicated parking lot. Is heavily used you will find people walking their dogs in the nice weather riding their bikes kids scootering, in the winter we had people cross country skiing and snowshoeing as well as walking. It's great during any season they have some nice historical markers towards the center that tell more about the area. One of my favorite places for a quick little walk.

I plan to come back later in the spring. There is very relaxing overall feel to the place, and the main tree by the stream kind of reminds me of that tree garden from Winterfell. If you follow the back trail to the end where it meets up with the Hojack Trail and keep going to the other side, there is some kind of obscure trail that continues on toward a stream, and that's worth checking out. Once you get there, there are so many overturned trees crisscrossing the stream, so you can pretty much get just about anywhere in that area regardless of the forks in the stream and general lack of bridges (there are a couple).

The paths are lovingly maintained. I have visited in all seasons and conditions. Check out the town website for all of the community events hosted here as well as hours for the park and nature center. The historic home is open for tours and tells the story of the farm and family that owned it for 6 generations. There are restrooms near the parking lot area by the home. A small children's garden, a playground, a labyrinth /maze and exercise stations are just some of the things of note. There are plenty of benches to sit and relax and take in the views. This park is ADA compliant.

It is a little tricky to find and negotiate where the best views are, which I think is what keeps people away and maybe slightly intimidated. I took on this park after exploring the Maplewood Rose Garden, and found that jaunt to be perfectly doable, if you're thinking about making an afternoon of it. When I was there, we took some time to explore the artwork, which includes some great and unbiased pieces about Rochester's past. We hopped a small railing to get up close and personal with the falls, which provides a great view. If I am remembering correctly there are some tents and a community making their home in this part of the park, so just be aware of that. I highly recommend taking your next park trip to Lower Falls!

I mean, when in your life ... in the middle of a metropolitan area ... have you been able to get this up-close view of these types of towers? There is some beautiful graffiti & a mural on a nearby building -- def wishing I had taken pix of a gorgeous bird mural. We live near Highland Park, so walked to the corner of Clinton & Field Streets and followed the well-marked trail up to the peak (lots of green paint on trees, to guide you). You could also enter from the parking lot of Hillside off of Highland Ave. It is one of a range of four hills in the city -- Cobbs Hill, Pinnacle Hill, Highland Hill (in Highland Park) and Mount Hope (in Mount Hope Cemetery). The park was designed by premier landscape architect Fredric Law Olmsted back in the early part of the last century. The festival itself had plenty of parking, food vendors and music at the main stage. This park would certainly be stunning all year round. I can't wait to see it agin in another season.

For myself, I have enjoyed the early morning walks, being in nature and enjoying in the wonderful flora of the park.
