It reduces the awkwardness of giving cash tips to the driver before the trip ends. The driver assigned to us was Colin, he was a friendly guy who arrived early at the pick-up points both times. One of the best bonuses right off the bat was the free transportation they provide from Whistler Village out to their basecamp--it made the logistics completely seamless. Make sure you arrive with some time to spare because their basecamp is awesome. They have a bunch of complimentary activities to keep you entertained before or after your tour, including Wiffle ball golf, axe throwing, a nice hike around the beautiful grounds, and giant yard games like Jenga, tic-tac-toe, and cornhole. It really extends the adventure and adds so much value! When it comes to the rafting itself, they make the whole process completely stress-free. Literally all we needed to bring was a bathing suit and a towel--they provide absolutely everything else. Since the water was still cold, they geared us up in full wetsuits, a jacket, boots, a life jacket, and a paddle. We rafted the Green River, which features class 2-3 rapids. It is the perfect adventure for beginners because you get plenty of opportunities to get splashed and feel the adrenaline, but it still feels completely safe. Our group of six was paired with an amazing guide who gave us super detailed instructions on all the paddle movements we needed to know to work as a team. If you are looking for a fun, well-organized, and action-packed water adventure in Whistler, I highly recommend TAG!

Pool was small though noted the safety measures of restricting numbers and booking a time with cleaning times in between. No view from the groundfloor room (faced a wall). Wall soundproofing minimal and unfortunately located next to noisy neighbouring suite who stayed up watching TV/chatting till 2-3am. Mattress was not firm. Details like mirrors can be cleaned with better finish with the right cloths/glass cleaner. They were wiped and clearly so (if you can see the various swirl marks left by a damp cloth). 4 stars is really for Tyler. Suggestion to Aava owner or any hoteliers, hire Tyler to set the standard for customer service.

I booked a two-night stay from August 2 to August 4, expecting a relaxing getaway. Instead, it turned into one of the most stressful hotel experiences I've ever had. On August 2, while I was already on my way to Whistler, I received an emergency call from my home security company reporting that my motion sensors had been triggered and there was a possible break-in at my home. Since I was already committed to the trip, I tried to put it out of my mind and hoped it was a false alarm. The following day, August 3, I received another emergency call about the same issue. At that point, I could no longer ignore the possibility that my home had been burglarized. I knew I had to return home immediately. I approached the front desk in the morning, explained the situation in detail, and asked if the hotel could show some compassion by refunding or waiving the second night's stay since I would not be able to use the room due to an emergency completely beyond my control. What disappointed me wasn't even the possibility of being told "no." It was how I was treated. The front desk staff told me that only the manager could approve such a request, but they had no idea when the manager would arrive. Even more surprising, they told me there was apparently no way to contact the manager while they were away. I found it astonishing that a hotel could operate with no manager available and no means of reaching one for urgent guest issues. The front desk employee, who identified herself as Angelica (or at least that is the name I understood), showed no empathy throughout the interaction. At no point did I feel that she genuinely understood the seriousness of my situation. There was no effort to explore alternatives, no attempt to escalate the matter, and not even the basic courtesy of expressing concern for what I was going through. The conversation felt cold, dismissive, and transactional as though a guest dealing with a possible home burglary was simply an inconvenience. Hotels are in the hospitality business. Hospitality isn't measured by how you treat guests when everything is going well it's measured by how you respond when someone genuinely needs help. This was an opportunity for Aava Hotel to demonstrate compassion and flexibility. Instead, they chose indifference. I understand that policies exist. I also understand that not every request can be approved. But emergencies happen, and exceptional customer service means empowering staff to either assist guests or promptly reach someone who can. In my case, neither happened. I left feeling frustrated, helpless, and deeply disappointed. The money lost on the unused night pales in comparison to the lasting impression that this hotel simply did not care. I checked out a day early due to an emergency involving possible burglars at my home. Even after explaining the situation, I was met with indifference rather than compassion. This experience fundamentally changed my impression of what hospitality should mean If you're looking for a hotel that values empathy, responsive management, and genuine customer service when unexpected emergencies arise, my experience suggests you may want to look elsewhere

Elise made booking spa treatments effortless, and the concierge provided wonderful restaurant recommendations before we even arrived. Lila at the front desk gave us the perfect first impression--warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. We arrived to find chocolate-covered strawberries and a "Happy Anniversary" note waiting in our suite, which was such a thoughtful surprise. The spa experience was outstanding from start to finish. Ali welcomed me with tea and a warm towel before showing me around the beautiful facilities. Caitlin, the spa director, was attentive and made sure everything was perfect. My massage with Zdenka was incredible, and the scalp massage and mask add-on was absolutely divine. I was even surprised with an anniversary gift of spa products when I checked out. The exceptional service continued throughout our stay. The pool service was attentive and relaxing (aside from a few persistent bees!), and the breakfast server--wish I could remember his name-- quickly turned around a small issue at the omelette station (with the inattentive omelette cook) by bringing us a delicious omelette directly to our table. Our room was beautiful, with a peaceful view that we especially enjoyed from the balcony. The turndown service was a lovely touch, and the Four Seasons app made every interaction seamless and convenient. What stood out most was that every staff member seemed genuinely committed to creating a memorable experience.
