I think she was trying her best but because she lived in the area, many of the things that she can do everyday will not be considered as tourist things/spots. There is a Squamish themed gift shop in the Visitor Information center but the items for sale wasn't that much special or unique other than having the Squamish logo on it. Along the wall outside of the gift shop is a list of things to do brochure. Many of them directed visitors to visit Whistler instead. I believe when thinking of travelling or going somewhere, Whistler comes to mind and not Squamish.

This is a great place to learn about all things Squamish. They rent bikes. Give advice on…read moreactivities in the area. Have a Squamish theme gift shop. Direct you to camping and area hotels. Oh, and there is an awesome coffee shop in here. What did I learn today? Not too far from here is an annual Bald Eagle congregation area where 100s to 1000s come to eat.

Formerly the location of the evening Medal ceremonies for the 2010 Winter Olympics, its now a beautiful spot for a morning walk and comes alive in the evening! The movie nights and concerts bring together people of all ages and nationalities to dance, relax and enjoy the fun! It has a stunning backdrop of trees and mountains and I love the fact that our kids loved playing in the park while they were young and now enjoy exploring the village themselves and grabbing a bite to eat before the concert. Ski season.. summer is best for Baci since it's much less busier. But we love all seasons here. Very dog friendly too. Summer concerts bring extra doggos!

Visited Vancouver, new Westminster, we are disgusted with the lack of washroom facilities. my…read morehusband is 73 years old with stage 4 prostate cancer, we were looking for a washroom at the train station in new west minster station, with no luck, my husband was beside himself trying to hold it in. not one shop or restaurant would allow us to use the washroom, it was humiliating for my husband , we will let our family and friends know, NOT to visit your city. So disgusted with your transit system.

I tend to avoid it…read morebecause a lot of Visitor Centers don't have useful information and the workers seem miserable and unhelpful. This particular place was the opposite! They gave us maps, directions to different attractions, and helped us figure out the public transit. You may have to swallow some traveler's pride but it will save you a lot of time and stress if you just go and talk to a local who's used to answering questions!

This time, the parking God smiled on us and we managed to get a spot when a car left. My sister was here for a visit and we took her here. There is now a gift shop with info board near the entrance, compared to 20 years ago. There are a few picnic tables and benches for those who are not going up to the falls. There are two paths to the falls, one is for those with strollers and wheelchairs. The falls is still as beautiful as I remembered. I stayed by the stream and it was quite mesmerizing to see the flow of water gushing over the rocks in the stream. The water was so clear. This is definitely a great place to bring visitors.

Shannon Falls was beautiful and the creek had the clearest water. Made me want to have a drink…read more Meandering through a moss covered forest to get to Shannon Falls was just magical for me. I loved every inch of that forest and the lush green moss covering tree trunks and branches. The ferns were so alive and pretty. I could forest bath here all day if I had the time. The sight and sounds of water rushing was so peaceful and tranquil. Could not get enough of this enchanting forest!

When we visited the facility, we found out that the location on Hot Springs Road was currently under re-construction, and they hoped to move back to a new and larger facility some time later this year. Daughter and I located the temporary location a little by accident, when looking for some parking space our first morning in town. We had dropped Mom off at the hotel, and she and I went back for a drive around, and look see at what might have happened in Harrison since our last visit. We saw some 15 minute free parking, and when we pulled into the space, found ourselves directly in front of Harrison Tourism -- right where we wished to be, and it was open. The first, of two visits during our stay in Harrison. We had different hosts for our visits, and each was so cordial, and informative. During the first time there, we browsed the Sasquatch Museum setups, I took some photos, and we chatted about Harrison 'stuff & such' with our host at the time. When we returned the second time, more chatting with our host at the time, I took a few more photos, and we both purchased some gifts to remember our trip and stay. We sure look forward to seeing the new setup when it is completed. But for this Harrison stay, our hosts and exhibits at the present Tourism Harrison location were fun, interesting, and informative, and we sure enjoyed spending some time with them.

Or you can ask them what is fun to do around Gibson. There are free brochures that you can grab here. They also have some free goods that you can pick up.
