Then what's the point of taking an inventory of what items we have? What's the point doing that if you don't plan to send additional movers? Aside from that, if I hadn't gone out of my way to protect my stuff from getting dented, scratched, or scuffed, it would most likely have gotten destroyed during the move. It's also really irritating that our desk chairs were damaged because for some reason they decided to roll them on the sidewalk instead of picking them up. The move wasn't even a long distance, they didn't have to carry anything except furniture and maybe 10 boxes. It wasn't even a big move, it was 15 minutes across town. We were booked for 5 hours, they charged us for 6 hours, which of course it took this long without the appropriate amount of movers. Realistically, this move should've taken a maximum of 3-4 hours with the appropriate resources. If you're looking for a moving company, look somewhere else. This is an overpriced criminal business operating as a moving service.

We were looking for other moving companies because of the HORRIBLE job that was done and due to the fact that in the past a worker at Road Runners got caught digging through my grandmother's purse. It seems like he doesn't appreciate or value his customers or take HIS customers complaints seriously. Right is right and wrong is wrong period. I don't understand why someone who is supposed to be professional would treat people who pay them good money that way and not want to fix their mistakes. He also called me about two hours ahead of the scheduled time and told me they were on the way because he didn't want his workers standing around on his watch doing nothing. I am assuming he wanted them to be standing around on our time doing nothing instead... Avoid Coleman Worldwide Moving -- Paid for Full Coverage, Got a Fraction Back…read more I hired Coleman Worldwide Moving (an Allied Van Lines agent) to deliver my belongings from their Montgomery, AL storage facility--where I stored items for 8 years--to my home in North Carolina in December 2024. I paid for Full Replacement Value (FRV) coverage up to $60,000 to protect against loss or damage. When the items arrived, several were damaged or missing--items that were in good condition when stored. I reported the issue right away and followed their claim process exactly. It took nearly four months just to get a claims adjuster. The claims handler (Eagle Claims Services) offered me $6,359. I responded promptly that I was gathering final estimates. Two days later, they declared their offer "final" before reviewing anything. I still submitted full documentation: third-party estimates totaling $12,750. Their "revised" offer? Just $6,989--less than 55% of the actual loss and only 11% of the FRV coverage I paid for. Coleman then claimed the damage happened in storage, so the policy didn't apply. They referenced "inventory exception sheets" allegedly completed during loading--but I was never shown these or given a chance to contest them. I contacted Coleman staff directly for answers. No one responded to basic questions. I was told to deal only with the claims handler--even though these same staff were involved in storing and loading my shipment. In the end, I did everything required: reported the damage, followed their process, provided real estimates. They dodged accountability and shortchanged me. Be cautious if you're considering Coleman. Paying for coverage doesn't mean you'll get what you're owed if something goes wrong--and the process of trying to fix it may leave you with more stress and less money than you expected.

What has previously been a 1 hour load max and 1 hour unload max turned into a 10 hour job because Shawn sent two hungover 60 year old meth heads with a home made 6X4 trailer to move my two bed apartment because "the people with the 12 foot trailer couldn't make it" and Shawn had called them the previous night. They had no moving pads, no moving tools or moving furniture and one of them is too weak to lift anything. I had to hire an additional helper myself after phoning around town to all moving companies who couldn't make it that day. Shawn was worthless and doesn't actually pay the people he hires or care for consumer rights at all. Best Rates Movers takes advantage of consumers and poor people in need of money. When a representative of Allied initially went to pick up the table up from my father, they advised him to have a crate built to be sure the table top was not damaged. He paid an additional $300 dollars to have a crate built to ensure that it would not be damaged during the move. The table made it to my new home. When the movers were putting the table back together, they drilled eight holes through the top of the table (see pictures). My parents kept this table in great condition so that it could be given to one of their daughters. It has been in the family for more than 80 years and meant a lot to us. It will never be restored to its original state but could have been repaired. Seeing the damage to the table was hard enough but a close second came when I filed a claim and was met with a customer service representative who was unprofessional and dismissive. They received an estimate on the damage from a claims adjuster (who, by the way, laughed when he saw what the movers did) and offered only $500 even though I insured it for $16,000. There is no question as to whether or not they did the damage. They did it. For more than 80 years, the table top was in outstanding condition. They should take full responsibility for it. The company bills itself as "not just another moving company". This is true. They are a company that damages irreplaceable items and does not accept responsibility for it. Avoid them or be sure to move things of value yourself.

The pickup went ultra smooth and everything was packed with care and packed really well. It only took a week to get to Colorado and the driver that dropped it all off was personable and efficient. His name was Greg B. And he was out of Pennsylvania. He was fun to talk to, worked hard and took great care with my son's property. We had heard nothing but bad things about military moves but this was seamless and easy. Nothing broken. Nothing missing. Everything accounted for. Thank you Covan for this this an easy and pleasant experience. The army got its money with and we are pleased.
