They cleaned up at the end of the day and were respectful of our home. Having a father who was an electrician, I am a pretty tough customer since I know what is needed for most construction jobs. The sub-contractors were top notch as well. The plumbers, electricians, painters, excavator, sheetrockers, insulators, and the tile worker did great jobs and were equally as respectful. I cannot say enough good things about St. Laurent Construction. I looked at over 6 different outfits when deciding on the work to be done on my home. My decision was based not only on the quoted cost but the actual feeling from meeting each potential contractor. St. Laurent was very real and honest. You could not ask for a better situation. As long as you are organized and willing to give a little with regards to schedules, the job will be great. One often forgets that other work is being done simultaneously on other jobs. The stairs were tricky due to existing structures (old house) but they figured out the best approach and executed it beautifully. PBS handled the permit, the check for gas/water lines, and multiple inspections. All I had to do was make a couple decisions when presented with options, and then sit back and relax. Work proceeded on time, in pretty much all weather--in fact they started the day after a February blizzard, which didn't seem to bother them at all! The team was courteous, helpful, and answered all my questions. When the project finished, clean-up was fast and thorough. Serious issues were downplayed or hidden during the walkthrough, and cosmetic fixes were used to cover up problems just long enough to close the sale. After moving in, we discovered thousands of dollars in repairs. It felt like the goal was to get the commission and leave us with the consequences. It was his explanation of the scope of work, and how they would ensure a quality finished product was the deciding factor in my choosing them, even though they were not the lowest price. I made a couple of changes between when I agreed to the deal and when they actually came to install. They were right there to help and get me exactly what I wanted. They were able to get our project done more than a week ahead of the promised time frame and the finished product looks amazing. I took the day off of work to ensure I was home and able to visually show him where we desired the fence to be placed. Tim arrived at 10:30am and after discussing the type of fence that best suited our needs, he assured me he would get back to us within a few days with an estimate and start date for some time in September (due to their schedule). Fast forward to today, August 31st, and we have not heard back from him or anyone at Finnegan Fence! Not one email, call, text message - NOTHING! We were completely left hanging. Essentially ghosted by a company that appeared to be reputable. Their actions have shown an utter disregard for the people who show interest in their services, as well as Tim's blatant disrespect for my time and effort in rearranging my work schedule. Their lack of Integrity, reliability, professionalism, and ability to communicate is substantial. Very disappointed
