We have used Montes twice. First they sourced hard-to-find Pietra Del Cardosa stone for our first floor vanity in 2008. We remembered them in 2020 for an accessory apartment kitchenette upgrade from Formica to granite. We got three bids for the kitchenette job: Gerrity Stone bid $1380. Classic Rock in Beverly bid $900 and Montes was $580. For a moment we thought Montes had made a mistake! Nope! We were going for a brownish remnant piece of stone, as the accessory apartment did not require anything special. Montes had an in-stock standard slab that worked perfectly for us. The $580 included everything including full backsplash, installation and fitting an undercounter sink. First class work. While Montes is headquartered just across the border in Plaistow, NH, they work every day in greater Boston. Put them on your bid-list. They will amaze you. I showed up at their place of business and found a beautiful quartz remnant for a bathroom double vanity on a Friday. They came out Monday to template and the countertop was installed on Friday. I've hired many granite installers in the past and had nightmare experiences. I will never again use anyone but Monte's.
