We splurged and got the super soft carpet for the primary bedroom, and it is THE softest carpet I've ever stepped on. As a local business, they were easy to work and coordinate with. They were able to provide estimates of different options and breakdowns, which was super helpful in determining what we wanted to spend after just purchasing a house. They were able to expedite the service as well, to get everything done before furniture was moved in. The hardwood floors look incredible after the sand and refinish, brand new! Double and triple check there scheduling. They didn't have the correct address in the invoice not even the right town. They called me and confirmed the day and time. I took time off from work to move the furniture. They didn't show and then wanted to reschedule a week later!!!!! No thank you. I don't trust that they will keep that appointment either. read more

Crown flooring is now my only company I will go to for work on my two family home. See before crown flooring and his crew I had a contractor that did work on my home and remodeled my bathroom by ( right down to the studs). After a year my toilet was leaking because he never replaced the seal, which damaged my floors. My bathroom needed to be re-done. I needed a new makeover for my kitchen. I called Crown Flooring, Michael came by, they took measurements, asked what I wanted. Colors, starting from the cabinets to the floor to the counter top. Because I had tile I wanted something that would keep my kitchen floor warmer. Michael came through for me. It was demo day. I was excisted. They put plastic up between my kitchen and the dining area. I expected hiccups. But not to this extent. Because of my last contractor who mickey moused the work. Crew noticed a hole in the ceiling where my toilet leaked, and a crappy repair under the sink in my kitchen. Which required a new subfloor. The crew showed me the problems, let me know it was fixable, not to worry. They had my back. Tho I was angry at the last contractor, I was relieved and no longer worried. The crew was methodical they paid great attention to detail from the cabinets to the countertops to the flooring. One thing out of place or didn't look right in there eyes they re-did it. The crew didn't except anything less but the best. The communication between Michael and his crew to me was nothing but incredible and prescious. They walked me through every step of the process, if I had a question they explained it to me. Before they left for the day, they swept, cleaned, neatly put all their tools in a certain area of the kitchen. I can't say enough about Crown For. I highly, highly recommend anybody that needs work done on their home to call. My kitchen was a total gut job. It looks amazing. Never know it was the same kitchen. The layout remained the same. I wish I could share every last picture and they would say enough to cover the entirety of our disdain for Crown Flooring. Shop elsewhere. $35,000 for floors in a ranch style house gets you an incompetent installation, uneven floors, cracked tiles, missing grout, permanent marker measure lines on your hardwood, short cut pieces of wood along walls and transitions and a boatful of empty promises. Our agreed upon vision of herringbone was a BIG mistake, and when we switched the pattern to 1/2 set because we thought it was dummy proof - the installation looked just as bad. Big shoutout to Andy the installer for ripping up my new subfloor we paid thousands for to replace before installation. We also really loved the extra globs of grout on our walls (mind you nowhere near the tiled rooms), and grout water on our new slider doors, and grout all over our back patio. A schluter trim piece was left out and I was told the owner Mike and installer Andy thought aesthetically it didn't need it although it's the biggest transition area in the house. I wasn't aware they were the paying customer and didn't want to even notify me as the homeowner. I can't fathom having them rip up the tile a second time to fix it when the first two rounds of installation were subpar. Do not use this company for hardwood and tile installation. P.S. Mike and Ken do not come to check on the work on their installer Andy even when I have repeatedly said the installation is TERRIBLE and sent several photos begging for help. Smooth talking doesn't make the physical look of floor better, FYI. Also, because they're a dishonest business - they've blocked me from Facebook so I can't share the news of my awful experience. read more

We engaged Crown to tile a new bathroom and lay down carpet on an area. They did a great job, were friendly, accommodating, etc. Since they did great work, we asked them to come back and lay down carpet on our entire 2nd floor bedroom and steps going down. Initially, it seemed good - they were again friendly and came out to measure. The waiting period for them to come out and actually lay the carpet was longer than the 1st experience. But, hey we figured things happen. Then they came to lay the carpet, but apparently did not have enough for the steps. They charged us extra for the time and rug, even though they had done 2 measurements. Needless to say, we were not very happy with that. We had more re-carpeting to do to an old house, but we can't trust that what they quote is will be what we pay. So, we're looking for another hardwood and carpet layer. read more

I have had many projects done by Mike, The owner of Crown Flooring over the last 20 years. I am a small time property owner. Around 20 years ago, Mike installed a few rugs in my Brother's rentals. He was always on time and offered both a fair price and did a great job. That led to him putting in a basement rug in my personal residence. He was on time and the carpet still looks great even today. I had him refinish the rec room. Great job on the drywall and I could not even find a seam. For the last several years, Mike and his crew have been my only source for reliable help on my 2 duplex rentals. As a small landlord, I can not afford the damage that is done when tenants leave, destroy the place or just the improvements and maintenance. I have ALWAYS been treated fairly and when he promises to be there unless there is a blizzard, he has always arrived on time and even worked late to finish a job when he ran into some unexpected surprises. When I had a huge water disaster, Crown Flooring replaced a Bathtub , Installed a new surround and new cabinets that were under the ' Waterfall down below the bathroom. It came out beautiful and below what I expected to pay. I had him do a second set of cabinets in another unit and that also was done on time and looks great. 2 years ago when my mom passed, I purchased her house. I have had Mike and his crew bring it up to a modern look as everything was from the 60's. I need to " De-momify" it. The projects are being done in phases as my budget can allow. The new paint looks beautiful, the carpets are great. All projects were both started on time and completed on time and on budget. This is not just one lucky experience .
