It's charming in its own way, but not the vintage Route 66 ambiance I was expecting. One thing that deserves high praise is the cleanliness. The café is immaculate, from the dining room to the overall presentation, reflecting a team that clearly takes pride in maintaining the restaurant. The food, unfortunately, was less memorable. The oatmeal was overly thick and dry, lacking the creamy comfort you'd expect. Buttered toast carried an off flavor, suggesting the griddle or butter station could use a refresh. The signature pancake, dusted with a powdered sugar "66" logo, was visually appealing and easily the meal's most Instagram-worthy item, but it too was disappointingly dense. Where Cafe 66 truly shines is its service. Every staff member I encountered was warm, welcoming, and eager to help first-time visitors feel at home. Their hospitality left the strongest impression of the visit. In my opinion, Cafe 66 seems to be transitioning away from being a destination built on Route 66 nostalgia and toward becoming a dependable neighborhood café for the Clinton community. There's nothing wrong with that--in fact, it's probably the more sustainable business model. But travelers seeking an authentic trip back in time may leave feeling that the iconic branding promises more nostalgia than the dining experience ultimately delivers.

The way this place is decorated is very cool. The iced coffee I had was so good if you like cinnamon it was the iced Spanish latte so yummy!! We were at the bar for mabe 10 minutes when a table opened up. Sid's is a throwback to an earlier era and is the embodiment of the slogan, "Get Your Kicks On Route 66" it's a fun venue! I ordered the orginial onion burger. Jan ordered chicken fried sandwich, and Ken ordered the coney. We chose onion rings as our side. My onion burger was outstanding, a 5/5. Jans's chicken fried sandwich was OK. She gave it a 3.5/5. Ken was very happy with his coney and gave it a 5/5. The onion rings were good. I'd give them a 4/5. They had country music overhead that was not over bearing. They have basic wine selections from California and Washington state which included well-known labels. My spouse had the chopped salmon salad. Which was prepared blackened. It was a thick center cut, seasoned deliciously. I had the blackened tilapia cooked perfectly. Both meals came with their house made beer bread biscuit and cinnamon honey butter. The menu was extensive. I recommend trying this place.

Econolodge Clinton OK Room 115 3/13/24 Young female at front…read moredesk was very organized and had my reservation information printed and ready along with key cards before I arrived. Post-it note with room number and important info. Room had only 1 towel, no coffee cups or creamers, etc. TV remote wouldn't turn off TV or control sound. Light next to bed didn't work. Outlets next to sink would only hold in coffee pot three prong. It would not hold in hair dryer plug. Shower curtain had a hole in it so the toliet and floor got wet. Toilet very small and low to floor and very loud. House keeping tried to walk in at 945am without knocking, then again at 1030am with barely a knock. Check out was at 11am. No door Hanger to notify housekeeping to do not disturb. Evening lady was helpful and found more towels and tried to switch the room but this room was cleaner than second option. Breakfast, I arrived at 745am. Breakfast is from 630-9am. Morning guy was on his phone, breakfast foods were empty, such a milk, yogurt, no fruit. Coffee ern (1 only) half full. Waffles, bagels, bread available. Also cereal. An older gentleman was getting cereal and there wasn't much milk left. I asked morning guy. He ran over filled the milk and yogurt and then went back to his cell phone. He left the large back room frig open. I brought my food to my room and came back for a little coffee and closed the frig that was still open.  Check out was fine, handed in the keys and said thank you. I usually notify them of the issues at check out but there were too many.  Did I mention that the bed was comfortable?

I have a receipt that showed I was overcharged by $20 More drug addicts than one ever needed to see, And if you complain they will make whatever you complained worse. The man that says he owns it, is very rude and apparently didn't like the black man that is my husband.
