I crave the original white castle burger and consistency matters and that's what i get when I come here. I ate there yesterday and was very disappointed about the fact that they no longer have any sauces ( ketchup, mustard ect. ) free to use as some people probably abuse it and ruin it for everyone, now you get some in a paper cup and it's cold so not the same as a packet. tried the new pork bbq and although I had high hopes it was definitely a letdown, didn't taste fresh as one would expect. One more thing, the soda machine was " OUT OF ORDER " I wonder if they are also planning on phasing out free refills because of corporate greed? the staff are amazing and hard working. read more

Last night DoorDash order: I came in town yesterday, and by the time I got here, it was late. So, I decided to order White Castle, since I haven't had it in a long time. The food was great. I ate 1 sloppy joe slider 2 cheese sticks, and a fish slider. My husband ate 3 cheese burger sliders, a order of fries and a sloppy joe slider. The rest was out in the fridge for later. They have combos and bundles to choose from, so you will enjoy saving money while enjoying your snack, lunch, or dinner. read more

I'm in my 50's and grew up eating White Castle, so you could say I'm a life-long fan. I give these guys a 4-star, but truthfully, this is hit or miss. On a good day, the hot burgers literally melt in your mouth...but if you get them after they've been sitting out for a while and they are beyond redemption. I try to go during busy times to be sure the burgers are fresh. I will say that this location gets it right more frequently than not. It's one of the few places where I'd rather be in the back of a long line of cars to increase the chance of getting hot burgers. Since they steam/grill their burgers, I think it takes them longer to cook. Also, since people usually order LOTS of burgers at once because they are so small, they pre-cook a lot of them to keep up with demand. If business is slow, this pre-cooking results in colder burgers. I love their sides (cheese sticks, onion petals, cheesy fries, etc.). These things are usually hot and fresh. They have a huge drink selection. Also, you can get breakfast here all day. White Castle has come a long way with their menu selections. Still, I usually stick with the classics...combo #1 (4 burgers, a side and drink). For my side I usually do the mozzarella sticks. The service is usually pretty friendly. They are usually busy, so don't expect the BEST service, but it is adequate. The interior is quaint. All of the seating is fixed, so if you are a larger person, you cannot adjust the chairs to your needs. Overall, I enjoy this location and recommend it. read more

After a long drive I wanted something quick and easy. So I went through the drive in at White Castle. The sound system was not the best. I ordered the chicken sliders and the fries thinking they would be the healthier choice. I didn't think you could make chicken into something tasteless but they did. The service was good. read more

Service was horrible at this location. Walked up to the counter and stood there for 5 minutes before they even took my order. The staff was not friendly at all. The soda machine was awful drinks were not good at all. The place was nasty trash on the floor and dirty tables that had not been cleaned. This use to be a nice place to go inside to eat but it's not anymore!! Need to get staff in there that does their job!!! read more

We ordered some sliders. They were pretty good. The meat paddy was a bit on the thin side. My main complaint was that the French fries tasted terrible. How can that be?!! Well I'm pretty sure the oil used to fry was old and over used. Nasty tasting fries. I was amazed that someone could screw up the fries and make them taste that bad. Grabbed a late lunch and as I am ordering in the drive thru I notice on the marquee they have THE Impossible burger!! Whaattt?! IMPOSSIBLE! I immediately added the burger to my order and was super excited to try it! The line was short, food took awhile and had to pull up to the parking lot to wait. The cashier said it was because the impossible burger takes a bit longer. I'm guessing because not a lot of people know what it is so it's not being ordered. Total guess tho. So I get my food and am so excited to try it, I pull it out (take a photo so I can show you, restraint was required!) and take my first bite. Immediately can tell it is not meat-the texture is not as firm as well but the flavor was good-yay! Success! Second bite-not so much...by the end of the burger (it was tiny so maybe 4 bites?) I've decided I'm not a huge fan and will not reorder. . The rest of my meal was great as usually, 2 double cheese and fries-they weren't really hot tho and I suspect it is because they were ready and had to sit and wait for the impossible burger. this place is very nasty. the place was very dirty. The employee did get my order pretty fast though. But it's like my husband always says, "It's not the speed, it's the quality." My burger was 90 percent buns and about 3 percent burger. I don't like to talk about my age, but this might have been acceptable for children, but I'm a full grown woman. Although we grew up living in In-n-Out fanaticism in the West Coast, we came to White Castle with an eager heart, open mind, and empty stomach but our expectations were half met. We ordered the cheese slider and the fish slider. Nothing great. The bun was made of purely all-purpose flour with really nothing else, and the "juicy" beef patty immediately turned the bun into a soggy mess. Meat and cheese tasted alright, but not at all fresh. The fish slider was a bit better, but DIDN'T HAVE ANY TARTAR SAUCE. Overall, the trip to this joint was a flop. White Castle fans seem to really indulge in their signature square-shaped, miniature burgers, however those really didn't appeal to us. In the few days before Indiana University started their fall semester, I decided to take a trip to Bloomington's White Castle restaurant. My expectations were high to say the least, as I had recently watched the film, Harold and Kumar: Go to White Castle, which portrayed the establishment as a paradise to fast food lovers everywhere. However, nothing could be further from the truth. In reality, White Castle is an absolute joke of a fast food chain, much less an actual restaurant. As I opened the doors, my nostrils were infiltrated with the pungent smell of grease and body odor. This greatly affected my appetite, but I still forced myself to order four double cheese sliders with a side of fries. It took me repeating my order three or four times before the cashier begrudgingly completed my transaction. Slightly miffed, I took my receipt and sat down in a nearby stool, where the smell of the "restaurant" completely engulfed me. As I waited for my order, I began to notice the state of my surroundings. The tiled floor looked like it hadn't been swept or mopped in weeks, and the nearby tables were littered with crumbs, dust, and used napkins. It took the staff a while to prepare my order considering there were no other customers in the building, and once I received it, the state of the food made me wish I had not ordered at all. The sliders consisted of two dried out buns on either side of two slices of highly-processed cheddar cheese and two greasy patties of which the contents were unidentifiable. They did not taste any better than they looked. Unable to stomach the assault on my senses the sliders provided, I moved on to the fries. Although slightly less greasy than the sliders, the oily strips of processed potato tasted just as foul. I previously thought it was impossible to make a bad french fry, but after this experience, I stood corrected. I left this hole in the wall with stomach acid shooting up my esophagus, as well as a horrid taste in my mouth. read more

We are in the middle of a freaking pandemic and I'm trying to support businesses. I stopped by to get dinner for me and 2 others. Ordered 15 sliders with cheese and other fried goodness. Got home (because drive through is about all that is available due to COVID19) and found my chicken rings were chicken rubber, my sliders with cheese had NO cheese, fries were soggy and no mustard in the bag, AFTER I asked for some! Seriously? It's not like you were swamped before I got there! Disgusting! The guys were highly disappointed as well. Thanks for ruining my dinner. Ah White Castle burgers... Don't know why, but sometimes you just crave some White Castle cheeseburgers....Maybe it's because it was a childhood rare indulgence and a flavor trip down memory lane. However, you could just go buy the frozen White Castle Cheeseburgers from the grocery store. I really don't see much difference... maybe this place is less soggy even though it still soggy? And getting it from the grocery would be alot cheaper. Another dislike: the sweet potato fries....it's horrible. I expected sweetness, but all I got was bitterness. I can tell its due to the old oil that they're using to fry it. It was so bad even the sauces couldn't cover it. I had to just throw it away after 2 bites. Would I come here again?
