To do it, he needed to cut through and remove floorboards in the barn to access the water line to the freeze-proof hydrant, and cut a trench through gravel. He promised that when he left, I wouldn't be able to tell he'd even been here, and he was as good as his word. The job went smoothly and well, with Matt arriving promptly and bringing all the tools he might need for any issues he might encounter. He is very knowledgeable about drainage, water pressure, etc., and sure knows his stuff. I found him to be highly competent. The waterer wasn't cheap, but Matt uses only the highest quality materials for durability and longevity, so I didn't begrudge a penny. They pumped my tank in March 2023 and then came back to replace a pump in November of 2023. They are very kind and polite but Ronnie Sr. and his worker Wesley definitely took advantage of my lack of septic system knowledge and charged me $800 to put a plastic pump (most likely a $30 pump from Harbor Freight) in my tank, using the wrong size PVC piping, leaving it hanging rather than taking the time to ensure it was set securely on a solid surface. And then they connected it to the existing electrical line by installing an outlet and wrapping it in electrical tape before burying it. I reached out to them on three separate occasions and let them know I did not believe they had put the correct pump in and expressed my concerns regarding the integrity of the electrical connection given the fact that it was buried and would certainly be encountering water. Three times I was told they would return to make it right. They never came as promised and I finally decided it was now between them and God and I would stay out of it. The outlet finally rusted out and tripped my breaker. I had another company come and re-do this work the right way. They commented that they had never seen such ghetto work before in their career.
