Very nice hotel near Knoebels that also allows pets. The one bed room had a chair, mini fridge, window, tv, small closet & a few dresser drawers. It was perfect for a quick stay where we could bring our special needs pet. No odors in the room considering they do allow pets. Breakfast was nice with a wide spread of waffles, eggs, fruit, yogurt, muffins/breads, cereal, coffee and more. There is a small indoor pool with a few lounge chairs but I didnt use it. Next door is a gas station, McDonalds and burger joint. Overall this was a nice hotel & would come back. read more

We expect clean and well kept rooms at Hampton and have always been satisfied. This location needs a total refurbishment. Outside the bushes and landscaping looked like a jungle. Inside the carpeting was unswept and dirty. Wallpaper in terrible condition. Our room door was a mess. The walls and tile were in poor condition. The carpet was wet. The blankets were worn and so we checked for bedbugs. The staff were very nice so that was the only positive I can post. read more

Nice stay at this Hampton Inn. Staff were friendly, room comfortable, plenty of free parking. Located down a long drive, it sits by itself just off the highway. Close to a gas station, there are several fast food and pub style restaurants within two miles or so. Our king bed room was spacious. No hooks by the entrance to hang our coats (like other Hamptons we have stayed with), but plenty of hangers in the closet. The desk area is similar to other Hamptons with a desk on wheels that you can pull out to have more desk top space and push back in for more room space. Fridge , microwave and ice bucket are in the back corner next to the desk. A full dresser with the TV on top is at the end of the bed. A single, comfy chair is between the dresser and the window. Didn't see a space to put/open luggage. Bathroom is large. Good amount of vanity space and a shelf underneath. One hook on back of door and another next to the shower. Multi-use personal care in shower and by sink plus one bar of soap by the sink. Towels were soft and absorbant. There is no switch for the bathroom exhaust fan so the room was super humid after our showers. The heater was quiet and kept us warm. The quilt was a good weight for our December stay. Sheets are soft and comfortable. Mattress firm. Only the pillows were disappointing; fiber fill that would bunch up in one place and almost no padding in another. Breakfast is served in a hallway shaped room off the lobby that is locked outside of breakfast hours. During our stay it included cold cereal, cooked oatmeal, fresh fruit (cut melon), western omlette, red potato mix, toaster items, waffles, hard boiled eggs, juice and coffee. The breakfast layout was very unorganized. Oatmeal is at the front right and cold cereal at the back left. Toaster items are at the back right and the toaster is at the middle left so you select your item, turn around and walk back to the toaster on the other side. Not even 'hot stuff here, cold stuff there'. Cold yogurt was in a bowl next to the hot oatmeal. There is no 'flow' to this set-up. Although no fridge in the breakfast area, they did offer hot sauce and grated cheese to add to your eggs and cream cheese for your bagel, plus butter, jelly, salt and pepper packets, etc. Coffee is by the front door. Luggage carts are located in the vestibule just before the lobby. They are similar to airport luggage carts. The lobby doubles as the breakfast dining room so cafe tables and chairs plus a high top work surface. read more

So I don't write reviews I convey experiences - cautioned off hot tubs, emptied garbage scatter around the pool. Poor customer derived from desk staff ( Matt) who told me the hot tub and hotel have been in this neglected condition for 3 years despite guest complaints. Unaccomidating hotel which is what a hotel is supposed to be - in the middle of no where no Eating establishments near by unless you're a big McDonalds lover. Not a lot of good things to mention. I've not yet had breakfast so maybe that will be earth shattering but from what I've experienced so far my expectations are low. The rates were commensurate with a high end establishment and this was not it! I love the death trap hot tub nice touch. Ah then I met the consummate professional the toothless night clerk who yelled at my children for talking in the lobby. Oh this place is just the best. The employees were so nice and very helpful. The free breakfast is pretty awesome too. However, the rooms are outdated and in poor shape. Also very poor lighting. Our shower floor cracked so we had to switch rooms. The lights flickered and the doors were all scratched up - felt like a perfect horror movie set! The air conditioner is very loud and hard to sleep with it running. I wouldn't say don't stay there but for the price, it's not the best atmosphere. Fine for one night! read more

Ok important things first, no signs of bedbugs. Room was clean, beds are comfortable, new pillows needed out of 4 I found 2 that were good. Water pressure and temp was ok. Breakfast was great and most importantly the coffee was very good! Both light roast and dark roast with a good assortment of creamer! Pool area smelled strongly of chlorine but not a deterrent. Fitness area had the basics. Over all a good experience and I recommend this hotel we would definitely stay again if in the area. . read more

Bed bugs September 5-7, 2022 Bill, the GM of the hotel was extremely nonchalant regarding the finding of bed bugs. Never even initiating contact with me, I had to call the Hilton Diamond member # in order to get through to anyone. When I did speak with Bill, he mentioned all he could offer was to comp the room, that's all well and good although my company who pays for the room didn't have the experience of the bed bugs, I did. When I then again phoned the Diamond member desk, they were able to contact Bill who suddenly was able to complete me some Hilton points! read more

The hotel and staff were phenomenal! We checked in in the evening of our stay and the two gentlemen at the desk were exceptionally accommodating as we had a trailer attached to our vehicle. One gentleman actually went outside with me to show us where to park. Breakfast was great both mornings, The breakfast attendant was spectacular! She did not slow down at all as she was keeping food filled and cleaning tables. The two ladies at the desk were wonderful and sent us out with extra water for the day so we wouldn't get dehydrated. The breakfast is not that good and -- worse yet -- there are t enough tables for everyone to eat. So -- week quality food eaten while standing up in a hotel lobby or some other place other than a table and chairs. Management should expand the eating area. Also the doors slam hard and loud when they close, which wakes people up in nearby rooms. Parking lot gets very full later at night. Some of the rooms should be converted to suites, which could bring down the overall number of guests. This would lessen the problems with breakfast area and parking. read more

First off, I just want to say that this is a nice modern hotel, clean cozy rooms, adequate water pressure and quiet at night. My reason for the 2-star rating, I called the front desk first thing to get a late check out, they said I was all set for 1200. I had to make a delivery at 1000, and would return to get the rest of my stuff before 1200. Upon returning, I found that my room was cleaned and the $30 of food and daily meds were gone. They said there was no notice of a late check out. The food aggravates me, but the meds are anti-depresants and are taken daily. After looking through the trash, the meds were not found. Please do not let this review keep you from staying at this Hampton Inn, I just had a bad experience. read more

We stayed at this Hampton Inn while on Phase III of our amusement park crawl. We went to Knoebel's Amusement Park & Resort in Elysburg, PA. Elysburg is in a remote rural part of PA and there isn't much there other than some campgrounds. My husband Rick suggested that we rent one of the cabins at Knoebel's, which sleep six adults and there were six of us. Look, I'm all for roughing it but three females and one bathroom? Recipie for disaster! As for this Hampton Inn, it's probably the closest decent hotel to Elysburg. It's your standard issue, freeway exit chain hotel. Nothing really stands out, but it's a decent place to stay. It's got all your standard amenities: pool, small workout room, complimentary breakfast, etc. The rooms are clean and reasonably appointed. Nothing to get excited about, but this Hampton Inn does what it's supposed to do. read more

We did not have much to choose from. Sports events in the area had created no vacancies. We were tired and desperate to get off of the highway and lay down. This was the only room we could find, thanks to a cancellation. We were very happy with the large queen suite since we were traveling with our 3 granddaughters. It was clean. 2 rooms, 2 televisions. I was pleasantly surprised by almost everything at this hotel. I stayed for one Saturday night while visiting Knoebel's amusement park. It's a 25 minute drive from the park, but you won't find many hotels closer. Very short drive off of I-80. You can't see the hotel from the main road. You have to drive a few hundred yards down what at first appears to be a deserted road but there's a sign at the corner and you very quickly see the parking lot. Its not huge but was adequate for the hotel's size. Check-in was easy and I was able to find a luggage cart for both unloading and later loading the car. Overall the hotel was very clean and was far better appointed than I expected from a Hampton Inn. It was obviously renovated recently. The lobby had free coffee and tea available, some internet connected computers, a couch and about ten tables used for breakfast. There's a small room with snacks and sundries for sale and commentary bottles of water. The staff was extremely pleasant and accommodating. The complimentary breakfast is where the hotel really shined in my opinion. The food wasn't anything special (assorted breads and muffins, cereal, some fruit, and pre-fab cheese omelettes, and bacon). But the service was great. Two large family reunions came down just before breakfast ended and started clearing the food out. Every two minutes, someone else was saying "you're out of xyz" and the staff politely said they were making more and even stayed open cooking long after closing time to accommodate everyone. My room was attractive, spacious, well lit, and clean. The mattress was reasonably comfortable, but not one of the hotel's highlights. I did love that they wash the comforter after each visit, so I knew that was clean. The bathroom was larger than I expected. The only downside to the entire stay was that I heard crickets all night long. Not sure if it was indoors or outdoors (it was a first floor room) but it was very noticeable. The indoor pool looked nice, although I didn't try it. All in all, I look forward to staying at this hotel again and will be more likely to try other Hampton Inns in the future. read more

I love Hamptons but this was not my best experience. We booked hoping to use the hot tub and pool but both felt silty and did not smell good. The usually great breakfast did not feel fresh with hard fruit and stiff eggs. The staff was nice and the woman attending to the breakfast was very helpful. The room was good except the fridge cycling on/off very loudly, so we had to unplug it. Next time I will drive the extra 30 minutes to the one in Williamsport which was great. read more

I was surprised by this hotel. My room was clean and in good condition. I was surprised to find the lights on and the temperature set in my room upon arrival, and a lap desk with useful information laid out on the bed. The front desk staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfast was the typical free buffet fair, although the yogurt containers were normal size not the small sizes I have found in other hotels. My only issue was that the internet was ridiculously slow, although its free so I shouldn't complain too much. read more

Only criticisms (and I think I'm stretching here because I forgot to mention them when checking out so they apparently didn't bother me too much) Bathroom door knob was a bit loose but worked, I could hear an occasional drip inside the toilet tank and the bathroom didn't have an exhaust fan. By far the WORST wifi I've ever experienced. Stayed at this hotel three different times and all three times the wifi was inoperable. Tried with coupon, free AND paying the $5.00/night charge. Still nothing. Called the front desk for assistance - same excuse each time..."we're working on it...".
