When he told me what he suggested, I said ok, BUT he said I could not be there when it is done. I was very upset, you can't go shopping for a new Vet when your told your companion needs to be euthanized. I had him cremated. Recently my 15 yr old Yorkie stopped eating on a Friday, took her to Dr and he said she had an infection. Gave her antibiotic, by Sunday night she passed in my arms. I'm trying to sway to the side she was old and it was her time. I will never know. I also had her cremated at Pet Cremation Services in Heber Springs/Little Rock.(they are great people to deal with)

A few days ago at feeding time we found that our horse had somehow cut the hide and part of a…read morenostril mostly off of his face (hanging). My usual vet was out of town so I was frantically searching for someone who could help my horse. I was given a reference to Dr. Cooper by one of the vet offices I called. Dr. Cooper drove over an hour to our home/barn on an after hours emergency call. Timing was critical for the tissue to remain viable. With the nostril involved, it was a complicated repair that required more than just stitching the flapping piece back in place. Dr. Cooper tackled it like the pro he is. He took the time to figure it out and suture the trims and tucks together almost precisely as it was before the injury (1.5-2hr surgery). Only time will tell how it turns out given the nature of the injury and the potential for our horse to rip the stitches, but I am confident Dr. Cooper gave him the best possible care and chance at a full recovery. Dr. Cooper was a pleasure to deal with. I only wish he was located closer. I would encourage any horse owner that is in his area to call him for your equine veterinary needs.
